Dwight would like everyone who sees him to say hi Dwight is a handsome Great Pyrenees and Border Collie mix! He loves dog parks and playing outside, rolling in the grass. He will do well in a fenced property or farm. He is leash trained, muzzle trained, and crate trained, however, the door often remains open. He’s a quick learner. He’s a little over 4 years old and shy of 100 pounds. He knows no, wait, down, paw, gentle, bed, belly, “get it” to eat, and sit with many more things he’s still perfecting. He loves the butt scratches but when he is sleeping her prefers to be left alone. He can sometimes be a little protective of his chew bones or food. He doesn’t play fetch but he loves chasing a laser like a cat. He prefers humans to chase him as a way of playing. He came from a home with two adults and should not go to a home with children. He’s used to a more quiet space and doesn’t do very well with loud noises. He did a great job outside watching his previous owner in his work shop. He does a great job being an outside guard dog, that’s definitely the Great Pyrenees in him. He loves to work and play. He has a ton of energy. Meet Kit, a Great Pyrenees/Doberman mix born approx 9/29/22. She has made such strides in the last year. She is great outside & is almost always the first one to come in when called. She now has a perfect routine but will still need time to find a new routine, as she is very routine based. She knows where her kennel is and takes 3 laps around before going in to eat but prefers the couch or your bed for sleeping. She recently attended an adoption event & was very curious about all the people & especially children. Her nose is her guide & she will come up behind you on the couch and sniff your hair or neck. She has never snapped at people & is really friendly, just in her own slow way. This is a huge milestone because she was so skittish when arriving into rescue that she would run away anytime she was approached or called to come in. She loves getting pets & has been enjoying belly rubs. Kit loves other dogs but tends to be very dominant and a little snappy when meeting new dogs for the first time. She would be fine with a dog that is less dominant or with a patient alpha, who will gently show her who’s in charge. She would also be fine as an only dog. She absolutely loves puppies & is very gentle, so the perfect scenario may be that she is the first dog & another is added at some point. She cannot be around small animals, such as birds, cats, or chickens, as her prey drive is HIGH. She definitely needs a fenced yard because her absolute favorite thing to do is run! She is not a fence jumper, so any fence that is 4 feet or higher is great for her. Her recall is improving & when she barks, she does respond to a firm, “leave it” or “no bark”. She does bark at neighbors or dogs next door, but she can be redirected. She will frolic & play for as long as she can. She loves long walks, soft toys & sleeping on the couch or in bed. She doesn’t need to be kenneled although when she is in new places, she may chew on things she is not supposed to, such as socks, pillows, and cushions. She has not done this in a very long time but it is a nervous response for her. She would love a home where she could have more one on one attention. Due to her cautious nature, older, respectful kids would be best. She will take time and patience to adjust to a new environment but when she does the little things will reward you tenfold. She's been in rescue long enough and would love a home of her own! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. True to his breed, Frosty takes his role as a protector seriously—he’s naturally alert and will faithfully watch over his home and land. He thrives in environments where he has space to roam and a purpose to fulfill, making him an ideal fit for a farm, ranch, or rural property. Frosty is not a fan of sharing his space—especially when it comes to food—so he’s best suited as the only pet in the home. He can be reactive to other dogs, both in the house and on leash, and needs a confident, experienced handler who understands his boundaries and is committed to setting him up for success. That said, Frosty walks beautifully on leash when outings are structured, and he truly enjoys these focused adventures with his person. He’s not a city dog and would not be comfortable in busy, high-traffic environments like breweries, dog-friendly patios, or urban neighborhoods. At home, Frosty is typically low-energy and happy to relax near his people, quietly observing the world around him. After a lifetime as a farm girl, this gentle lady is learning all about the joys of pets, pampering, and people. Though she was initially wary of her collar and leash, Delphia has completely turned a corner—now she loves going on walks and gets super excited when it’s time to gear up! She's comfortable navigating a few stairs and is slowly building confidence with full flights. Car rides are a work in progress, but she's learning they can lead to fun adventures (though she still appreciates a little boost into the car). Delphia thrives outdoors—whether it’s sunshine or light rain, you’ll often find her lounging peacefully in the yard. She adores being brushed, and her coat is becoming more luxurious by the day. Her recall is improving—she nearly always responds to a whistle! Social and sweet, Delphia enjoys meeting new people and dogs, though at the dog park she’s more of a quiet observer—opting to sniff around the wooded areas rather than jump into the action. She’s been exposed to farm animals, including cats, and gets along well with other dogs. Hi, I’m Riley, a 3 year old female Pyrenees weighing about 75 pounds. Have you ever heard of a gentle giant? Well, that’s me! I am a very sweet girl that loves to cuddle, be around my people, and relax. I’ll gently nudge your hand when I want pets. I love meeting new people, especially kids, and I’d be the happiest pup alive if my new family had a kiddo. I’ve met dogs of all sizes (20-70 pounds) and do great with them all. I’m not super active but I’ll occasionally wrestle or play tug-of-war. On rare occasions, I’ll get a burst of energy and start chasing my tail. It always makes my foster parents laugh! I haven’t met any cats or critters in rescue but I’m willing to try! I did live on a farm so it’s possible I’ve been exposed to all sorts of animals in the past. I am completely potty trained! I’m not a fan of the kennel but I’m doing better every day. Once I’m settled in my new home, I could be left out of the kennel during the day. My leash skills could use some work - I’m just a very strong girl so I will pull. True to my breed, I take my guard dog duties very seriously and I’ll let out some big barks when I hear noises outside. My foster mom thinks I’m a valuable member of the neighborhood watch! I also do well in the car. I finished heartworm treatment in May so I’ll need to be low activity until October. Honestly, that’s just fine with me because I’d rather be snoozing. I’m the best dog that would do well in most households. You’ll love me!
