Story
This is Miss Moon! We found her on the side of the road when she was only 4 weeks old! We lived on a farm then and she was so happy. Vet guessed that she is a purebred as she has the double dew-claw, but petite for a Great Pyrenees as well, they were thinking she may have been a runt. We got her fixed, got all her puppy shots and have been enjoying her since. She'll be 6yrs old in May. We had to move and brought her with us but, lately she has become very anxious and reacts to loud sounds and just can not seem to relax here in our home due to all the activity and sounds in our neighborhood. On top of this this last year our youngest son's allergies have been horrible and the doctors have said that we need to unfortunately rehome our furry pets to help his health. We do not make this decision lightly! She will come with her crate, some toys, some food, food bowl. She knows basic commands. Loves being loved on, grooming is a challenge at times. She's loyal and protective.

Story
Lenny is half Pit Bull and half Great Pyrenees. I adopted her when she was 8 weeks old. She was born 4-15-2023. Lenny is the sweetest girl, but I am unable to give her the time and attention she deserves and needs. I have another baby on the way. I want to find a good, loving home for her.

Story
Meet Barney! This pup was wondering around our community for weeks as a stray. Catching him wasn’t easy but let me tell ya, now that he’s had a taste of AC he’s never going back to the stray life haha. Barney in typical Great Pyrenees fashion is an absolute LOVER. He wants do be near his humans and he wants that Pyr fur all over you! Great with dogs big and small although not super playful. Definitely more of a wallflower with the occasional zoomie. Leash work is still a work in progress which for this breed is a lifelong project. What he lacks in that department however he makes up for in looks and charm. -House/Crate Trained -Good with other dogs -Over the top loving -Moderate energy -Loves being with his human. Barney is such a sweet and well tempered boy that woudl do best in a quiet house, as he can be a nervous nelly. We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
Hi there! My name is Dash, and I'm an approximately 7-month-old Great Pyrenees/Hound mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I came to Rockwall Adoption Center when my family could no longer care for me, and now I'm ready to find my forever adventure partner. I currently weigh about 50 pounds (as of 2/14/26), and I still have some growing to do! I'm a bright, happy, outgoing guy who is very much still a puppy. I love to play, explore, and make new friends. I'm good with other dogs and enjoy having canine buddies to romp around with. When I get excited to meet new people or doggy friends, I can be a little vocal - I just can't help announcing my enthusiasm! I would thrive in an active home that's ready for puppy energy, continued training, and lots of fun. With guidance and consistency, I'm going to grow into an amazing, loyal companion. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccine and DAPPV booster, and I'm heartworm negative. If you're interested in meeting or adopting me, please submit an adoption application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ I can't wait to see what adventures we could go on together!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. February 27, 2026, 3:53 pm
