Story
One of a pair of hybrid type fellows who arrived via a small rescue in the Sacramento area. Cysco is smaller and likely perhaps to be part Coyote. These are truly delightful creatures, playful and silly, who just love romping and playing in the wooded hills at our Sanctuary! They have two delightful girlfriends in their pack and the foursome immediately took to each other like long lost friends (or family members!) Cysco is not a dog who chooses human company, though he is sweet, sensitive, curious and does engage, but chooses dogs over humans. We respect that choice and give him and the others the time and a big space to call home - eventually in the right circumstances with the right kinds of people and other dog(s) we can consider placing them, or they'll stay here and have their friends and good food and a happy life! Thank you for considering adoption of a Milo Foundation Sanctuary dog. Our Sanctuary is where our rescued dogs who have had difficulty in a home in the past, have behavioural issues, or too much energy, or for some, aggression issues with other dogs, or intense stranger danger that make them more difficult to safely and happily live in urban environments. These are not beginner dogs or for the most part nor are they for families with children. IF you are looking for an easy dog to add to your family, we suggest looking at the dogs at our Adoption Center, Milo Pt Richmond. BUT, if you can offer a safe and nurturing home to a dog with some behavioural "quirks" please do send an application today. Thank you.

Good with dogs,
Story
Hodor is a loving and affectionate Husky boy, great with other dogs, he would love to have a canine companion in his new home - he has a best buddy Hachi! And a new girlfriend Luna. Hodor is good on leash, gentle once he is actually settled in a routine and getting enough attention - he is pretty grounded, gentle and super sweet! Hodor loves to play and socialize, he is a very affectionate Husky. Being a Husky he is also into adventures, and if you don't have a well fenced yard, he could well take himself on adventures without you! Although he doesn't know how to "hold the door" quite yet, he is ready to get out, to love, to learn, to support and protect! He is a fun loving, spunky guy. He doesn't feel the need to take the throne, just a family and a place to call home.

Story
Nakita is a curious and intelligent 8 yo husky/malamute who is affectionate and loves her cuddies and treats. If she gets the exercise she needs-she is happy to lounge around the house near humans. Nakita is leash reactive to most other dogs so will need a strong, dog-savvy person with good handling skills. She is a dominant female who can get very jealous and should most likely be the only dog in the household. She would love living with an active family; she is housetrained. Nikita is very good with small children/newborns-she is tolerant when they pull her tail. She has lived with a male, obsessive, deaf cattle dog and was amazingly tolerant with him herding her all the time. Nakita is a very lovable dog and would be happy staying home and playing in a well-fenced large yard, and being in the home cuddling with her people! Nakita would love to meet you; fill out an application so we can make a plan!

Story
Our fosters say it best and here's what Tobias' said: Tobias is a gentleman who loves to sit with his paws crossed. When at home, he will calmly keep you company by laying near where ever you are. He is completely potty-trained and sleeps well at night. And while he is the calmest dog at the house, he loves to take long walks. He is GREAT on car rides. He hops right in and loves to stick his head out of the window. He no longer pulls on the leash (unless he sees a squirrel - they are his kryptonite). He is great in public spaces. Tobias has kept me company at many dog-friendly breweries and coffee shops. He can be a bit anxious around sudden movements so it's best to keep a watchful eye when introducing him to kids or other dogs. But if you're looking for someone to add to your pack and keep you company around the house, Tobias is your guy.
