Story
Hades is a chill, smart and loving dog. Highly trainable, and polite on a leash, he catches on quite quickly to instructions and loves his structure. He enjoys a typical day playing and socializing, having a blast on his multiple daily walks, and cuddling up at night on the couch. He is a homebody at night, and doesn't bark much. His foster sibling can attest to the fact that he is comfortable with other dogs and would make a fantastic doggy sibling. He has also done well with his feline foster sibling! Hades is not particularly fond of toys or bones, but he sure loves his food! He must have some awesome doggy dreams because he sleeps like an angel. He thrives with patient, caring people who are comfortable going slow with his physical space. Hades will be the happiest dog in a home that can provide patience, continued socialization and training, and lots of exercise with plenty of love thrown in. Could you be that family? Apply to adopt Hades today! (SG)

Story
Loki is a 5-year-old, 90-pound Husky mix who is best described as a big, doofy teddy bear. After his owner passed away in March 2025, Loki came to Rocket Dog through no fault of his own and is now ready to find another loving home. Loki is currently being fostered with Quinn, and the two have become wonderful companions. While they enjoy each other's company and have been living together in foster care for over a year, they are not considered a bonded pair and can be adopted separately. That said, we'd love to see them find a home together if the right family comes along. In his foster home, Loki lives with a large pack of dogs and gets along with everyone. He's a true social butterfly who wants to be friends with both dogs and people alike. Loki is a calm, easygoing boy who enjoys lounging around the house but is always happy to head out for a good walk. He loves spending time outdoors, enjoys car rides, and is especially happy with his head out the window taking in all the sights and smells. Whether you're relaxing at home or heading out on an adventure, Loki is ready to be your loyal sidekick. Loki is quiet, house-trained, and walks well on leash, though his size means he'll do best with a confident handler. True to his Husky roots, he can't resist letting out a signature howl whenever an ambulance passes by! If you're looking for a gentle giant with a fun-loving personality—and maybe even have room for two wonderful dogs—Loki would love to meet you. Fill out a questionnaire and a volunteer will be in touch.

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:18Palomino – Gentle, Playful, and Affiliative Palomino is a 3-year-old, gentle Siberian Husky mix weighing 42 pounds with an adventurous spirit and a love for movement. Easygoing explorer: Palomino walks with only mild leash pulling and is content entertaining himself while exploring his surroundings, enjoying all the interesting sights and smells. Born to run: Palomino absolutely loves running and enjoys sprinting back and forth around the yard, showing off his energetic and playful side. Smart and treat motivated: While somewhat picky about treats, Palomino has a clear favorite—cheese! He takes treats politely, responds to “sit” and “touch,” and enjoys interactive games of chase with his people. Affiliative and uncomplicated: Palomino accepts pets and gentle strokes but doesn’t actively seek attention, preferring a balance of companionship and independence. He may occasionally chase a ball for fun, though he’s not too concerned about bringing it back. Palomino would do well with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home.September 3, 2026, 11:27 pm

Story
Shiloh is a young husky mix who weighs around 70 pounds and has a sweet, sensitive soul. Shiloh shines when he’s with his people; whether that’s exploring the outdoors, going for a car ride, or enjoying playdates with his dog friends. Shiloh is hoping to find a loving, patient home willing to give him the time and space he needs to decompress, build trust, and discover just how wonderful the world can be. Shiloh would do well with appropriately matched dog companions or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home.
