Story
Masha is the kind of dog who makes fast friends wherever she goes. Sweet and affectionate, this husky loves being around people and has a gentle, easygoing way about her that makes her a joy to spend time with. Masha walks well on leash, enjoys romping around with her toys, and sharing her happy energy with whoever she can. She’s always up for an adventure and absolutely loves exploring the outdoors–whether it’s a neighborhood stroll or a long hike through the hills, Masha is happy to take in the sights by your side. Masha previously had a couple brief, unexplained seizure-like episodes and a skin infection that have both been treated and are currently well managed, though she may require additional veterinary care for these in the future. If you’re looking for a companion who’s a perfect mix of curiosity and calm, Masha could be your match!

Story
Echo is a chill, smart and loving dog that settled in quickly and smoothly into his foster home. Highly trainable, and polite on a leash, he catches on quite quickly to instructions and loves his structure. He enjoys a typical day playing and socializing, having a blast on his multiple daily walks, and cuddling up at night on the couch. He is a homebody at night, and oh boy he loves his outings during the day. Echo loves to run! His foster sibling can attest to the fact that he is comfortable with other dogs and would make a fantastic doggy sibling. He is not particularly fond of toys or bones, but he sure loves his food! He must have some awesome doggy dreams because he sleeps like an angel. He thrives with patient, caring people who are comfortable going slow with his physical space, so he'd be best-suited with older, dog-savvy kids. (He warmed up fast in his patient and caring foster home.) He prefers to be with people than to be alone, so he’ll be one happy boy if he gets to be your working buddy! Echo (51 pounds) will be the happiest dog in a home that can provide patience, continued socialization and training, and lots of exercise with plenty of love thrown in. Could you be that family? Apply to adopt Echo today! (SG)

Story
Loki is a 4 year old husky mix who came to Rocket Dog after his owner passed away. Loki has been living with his friend Quinn. They rely on each other for comfort and companionship, and must be adopted together. These dogs are typical huskies - active, energetic, vocal, and playful - but they have great training and would adapt well to a home environment. They would do best in a home who has experience with huskies or has done the necessary research and prepared themselves for caring for these special dogs. Loki is an extra-large guy and does need to lose some weight. He currently weighs in at around 110 pounds.

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereThis 2-year-old, 55-pound shepherd/husky mix is equal parts playful and affectionate. Ducky is gentle, treat-motivated, and already knows sit and paw. She loves chasing tennis balls, strolling politely on leash, and soaking up head scritches (she’ll happily flop over for belly rubs, too!). In her foster home, Ducky has been a total star. She’s potty trained, comfortable crated overnight, and wonderfully social with people and dogs alike. She plays nicely with the resident pup and is incredibly calm on leash walks. While stuffed toys don’t last long, she does great with durable toys and ropes. Ducky is easygoing and happiest wherever you are. She’d thrive with regular exercise, continued training, and lots of love. Whether out on an adventure or relaxing at your feet, Ducky is ready to be your best friend!  Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.May 20, 2026, 11:48 pm

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:5This dog is eligible for our Home Begins Here program. Ask an Adoption Staff member for details! Orange – Mellow, Independent, and Easygoing Orange is a 6-year-old male Siberian Husky mix weighing 54 pounds with a calm, mellow personality. He enjoys taking life at a relaxed pace and seems happiest when he’s out exploring the world through his nose. Easy walking companion: Orange walks nicely on a loose leash and is easy to handle, making him a pleasant companion for relaxed strolls. Curious explorer: He enjoys sniffing and investigating his surroundings, often happily doing his own thing while out on walks. Independent nature: Orange is fairly independent and may respond to “sit” selectively, choosing when he feels like participating. Gentle and affectionate: He accepts petting and seems to especially enjoy head pets and ear rubs. He takes treats politely and is a little picky about treats, though cheese is a clear favorite. Orange would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home. May 20, 2026, 11:48 pm
