Story
Aster is a soft-hearted husky with a calm spirit and so much love to give. Incredibly gentle and people-focused, she adores spending time with her humans, whether that means a peaceful walk, a cozy cuddle, or simply being by your side. She walks beautifully on leash and takes in the world with a relaxed, non-reactive demeanor, making her a lovely companion for easygoing outings. When Aster arrived, she came with an old injury that is currently being evaluated and treated. She is doing well, but may need continued veterinary care in the future. Through it all, she has remained patient, trusting, and endlessly sweet. Aster would prefer to be your one-and-only pup so she can soak up all the love and attention for herself and in return, she will give you gentle companionship that feels truly special. If you are looking for a calm, affectionate dog who provides a steady, loving presence, Aster is waiting to meet you!

Story
Hey guys! His name is Rocky he’s from Texas, and he’s 1 year and 2 months! Rocky loves to play but can always just sit down with you if your not in the mood to play, he loves playing with his toys and he’s very very active. That’s why I am looking for someone that is able to take care of him and that’s going to take care of his needs at every moment. He is very special to me, that’s why I want a good home for him! He does get attached to a person easily and loves to cuddle! He also gets a little anxious around new people when they are too forward. He needs a little bit of time to get used to to some people! He’s a very happy boy overall! Please if you think you are capable of taking care of Rocky please reach out..

Story
Hades is a chill, smart and loving dog. Highly trainable, and polite on a leash, he catches on quite quickly to instructions and loves his structure. He enjoys a typical day playing and socializing, having a blast on his multiple daily walks, and cuddling up at night on the couch. He is a homebody at night, and oh boy he loves his outings during the day. Hades loves to run! His foster sibling can attest to the fact that he is comfortable with other dogs and would make a fantastic doggy sibling. He has also done well with his feline foster sibling! Hades is not particularly fond of toys or bones, but he sure loves his food! He must have some awesome doggy dreams because he sleeps like an angel. He thrives with patient, caring people who are comfortable going slow with his physical space. Hades will be the happiest dog in a home that can provide patience, continued socialization and training, and lots of exercise with plenty of love thrown in. Could you be that family? Apply to adopt Hades today! (SG)

Story
Loki is a 5-year-old, 112-pound Husky mix who is best described as a big, doofy teddy bear. After his owner passed away in March 2025, Loki came to Rocket Dog through no fault of his own and is now ready to find another loving home. Loki is currently being fostered with Quinn, and the two have become wonderful companions. While they enjoy each other's company and have been living together in foster care for over a year, they are not considered a bonded pair and can be adopted separately. That said, we'd love to see them find a home together if the right family comes along. In his foster home, Loki lives with a large pack of dogs and gets along with everyone. He's a true social butterfly who wants to be friends with both dogs and people alike. Loki is a calm, easygoing boy who enjoys lounging around the house but is always happy to head out for a good walk. He loves spending time outdoors, enjoys car rides, and is especially happy with his head out the window taking in all the sights and smells. Whether you're relaxing at home or heading out on an adventure, Loki is ready to be your loyal sidekick. Loki is quiet, house-trained, and walks well on leash, though his size means he'll do best with a confident handler. True to his Husky roots, he can't resist letting out a signature howl whenever an ambulance passes by! If you're looking for a gentle giant with a fun-loving personality—and maybe even have room for two wonderful dogs—Loki would love to meet you. Fill out a questionnaire and a volunteer will be in touch.

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog J:4Tala – Happy, Affectionate, and Ready to Learn Tala is a 1-year-old, 41-pound husky mix with a joyful personality and all the charm of an enthusiastic puppy. Playful young pup: Tala may pull excitedly at the start of a walk, but she’s very manageable for her size and settles nicely as the outing continues. She’s easily redirected with treats and happily responds to “sit.” Sweet and affectionate: Tala loves being close to her people, curling up against your legs and leaning in for pets and affection. Food motivated and trainable: She takes treats gently and is highly motivated to learn, making training both fun and rewarding. Dog social: Tala enjoys gentle play with other dogs in doggie playgroup, though she may bark at dogs when on leash. Tala would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home.         View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by @indies_foster_friends  August 9, 2026, 4:01 am

Smart and eager to learn: Tindra is mostly housetrained, signaling when she needs to go outside. She already knows “sit,” “down,” “stay,” and “switch.” She may pull on leash but responds well to redirection. Active and social: She generally enjoys meeting other dogs with wagging tails and playful bows. Affectionate companion: Tindra enjoys spending time close to her people. Initially wary of unfamiliar men, she has become increasingly social and enjoys meeting new people as her confidence grows. Thrives with routine: Tindra settles well with structure and enrichment, including puzzle activities and lick mats. She will continue to blossom in an active home that can provide her the opportunities to use both her body and her brain. Tindra would make a wonderful companion for an adopter ready to embrace her adventurous spirit and continue helping this bright young pup continue her growth journey.
