Story
This gorgeous Husky boy is ready to be your new best friend! Hiro is looking for a new home because his current guardians can no longer care for him. He is very loved and looked after. This sweet guy is only about 3 and a half years young and weighs in at about 50lbs. He gets along with small female dogs and is best as a solo dog. He would best thrive placement in a home not with another male dog due to his lack of confidence. But people are where Hiro really shines. He'd love a home where he can soak in plenty of love with his humans, joining you for outings as well as cuddle time. Hiro would do best in a home free of kitties due to his excitement in small critters. Hiro is crate trained and settles in well when left home alone- no destruction or anxiety here! Are you ready for Hiro to join you on your next adventure? Hiro is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines, house trained, knows basic commands. He is a very sweet dog. He knows commands to sit, down, stays, gives paw, potty outside, and loves praises. She loves meeting new people. If you are interested in learning more about Hiro, please contact Veronica at by email at Princess_vw@yahoo.com

Story
I, dear people, am the puppy of your dreams! Do you love mystery, adventure and quests? I am the perfect 20#, short haired, bright blue eyed baby boy companion for every stroll and dance!  I love older children and dote on their conversations.  I am currently learning a lot about games and play in my foster home; I’m going to be an avatar did you know that?! I don’t know what that is, but my foster boy says I’m so cute I’m going to be the perfect model. I'm just 5-6 months old. I am a wonderful new addition to rescue and am happy to learn, stroll, play fetch and jump into your lap!  I was a little scared of the resident big dogs but after a little bit I found out they LIKE ME! Everyone likes me! They say I’m awesome and sweet!  Do you want to find out? Can we read mysteries and go on trail quests together? Or maybe you like the urban adventure? I’d really be up for a puppachino in the park or on the couch anytime! How about this week? Come meet me and we will be the bestest buds! I love you already! Signed, Mr. Devid BISBY, puppy extraordinaire If you are interested in meeting please fill out an application at our website: www.gobeyondrescue.org/adopt Our adoption fee is $450 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping and up to date vaccines. We adopt within 200 miles of San Francisco.

Story
Sasha is a gorgeous red Siberian husky with a queenly demeanor. Like many huskies, she`s no fool over strangers, preferring to play it cool until she can thoroughly vet you.&#10 &#10 Once you pass her sniff test (and you will), she`ll show her playful and affectionate side - but even then prepare to experience some diva-tude!&#10&#10 Sasha`s cheatsheet:&#10&#10 * Enjoys walks and going places.&#10 * Not big on cuddling&#10 * Needs plenty of time to settle in and feel comfortable&#10 * Requires an all-adult home&#10 * No other pets or small children&#10 * Loves and guards her food and toys&#10 * Is funny and goofy once relaxed.&#10 &#10 If you have big-dog experience and you also prefer your pets independent, Sasha might be the perfect dog for you. Bonus: An admirer has paid her adoption fee so you don`t have to. Come meet her from 12-4PM any day but Mondays at 1590 Fortmann Way in Alameda!

Story
Aruba is a very sweet senior husky. She was not claimed after being found as a stray but seemed well cared for. Such a good girl deserves a forever home that will love her through her retirement years. Aruba is patiently waiting to give you all her love and devotion. * 8 years old * 41 lbs. On the small side. * Mellow * Playful and silly with people (once she gets over a little shyness) * Not especially fond of other dogs * Quiet * Easy to walk * Respectful kids are fine Aruba does fine around other dogs as long as they don't expect a playmate. Too much attention seems to get on her nerves and you'll see her rare cranky side. You can meet Aruba any afternoon but Monday at our main location of 1590 Fortmann Way in Alameda, California. There is no adoption fee if you are 62 or older!

Story
Sequoia is super sweet, energetic, and quite unique, maybe even a little quirky. She’s very friendly and affectionate with people, and not reactive to dogs on walks. She loves belly rubs. Sequoia doesn’t seem to have a lot of leash-walking experience, and likes to keep tabs on her human by circling around you and nudging you along, which could be part of her herding dog instincts. She can be a little anxious and is not particularly interested in toys, preferring to be out and about and observing everything going on. She would likely do best in an active household where she can be engaged. She is housetrained. Sequoia is currently in a foster home. If you're interested in her, please email KSwanson@cityofberkeley.info. First, we'll set up a virtual meeting with their current foster family via phone, Zoom, or Facetime, to provide you with more detailed information. Then, if you feel that Sequoia might be a good adoption fit, shelter staff will gladly coordinate an up-close and personal meet and greet with your potential family member. Thank you for your support!
