Story
Hercules is strong! A puppy that survived parvovirus, his immune system proved to us that he deserves special privileges. Hercules can start exploring the world via walking on the ground earlier than other typically puppies can, though he will still need his complete series of vaccines to make him extra strong for adulthood. Hercules cannot interact with other puppies or under-vaccinated adult dogs that may be susceptible to parvovirus while his body is actively shedding the infection for a couple of weeks. After that, a veterinarian can advise you on what public space activities he may be able to enjoy, such as the dog park, beach, and more! You won't regret adding this little warrior to your life. Take Hercules home before someone else does!

Story
Dozer is a fun big boy!! He is 7 years old. Super healthy. He is looking for a new home because I have a dog care business and Dozer is over it. He loves our 1 on 1 time in the evening but he is miserable when he has to share his space. When we are out running with the pack he is happy happy. Dozer loves all adults and teens. I’m not sure how he would be with young kids. Dozer is E- collar trained and amazing recall with it (I only use vibration) I’m very sad to let him go but it’s too hard to watch him upset because he wants his own space and humans I know he will make someone really happy, he is a lovable goofy boy. He is happy with 1 big run everyday and happy chilling if you are.

Story
This gorgeous Husky boy is ready to be your new best friend! Hiro is looking for a new home because his current guardians can no longer care for him. He is very loved and looked after. This sweet guy is only about 3 and a half years young and weighs in at about 50lbs. He gets along with small female dogs and is best as a solo dog. He would best thrive placement in a home not with another male dog due to his lack of confidence. But people are where Hiro really shines. He'd love a home where he can soak in plenty of love with his humans, joining you for outings as well as cuddle time. Hiro would do best in a home free of kitties due to his excitement in small critters. Hiro is crate trained and settles in well when left home alone- no destruction or anxiety here! Are you ready for Hiro to join you on your next adventure? Hiro is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines, house trained, knows basic commands. He is a very sweet dog. He knows commands to sit, down, stays, gives paw, potty outside, and loves praises. She loves meeting new people. If you are interested in learning more about Hiro, please contact Veronica at by email at Princess_vw@yahoo.com

Story
I, dear people, am the puppy of your dreams! Do you love mystery, adventure and quests? I am the perfect 20#, short haired, bright blue eyed baby boy companion for every stroll and dance!  I love older children and dote on their conversations.  I am currently learning a lot about games and play in my foster home; I’m going to be an avatar did you know that?! I don’t know what that is, but my foster boy says I’m so cute I’m going to be the perfect model. I'm just 5-6 months old. I am a wonderful new addition to rescue and am happy to learn, stroll, play fetch and jump into your lap!  I was a little scared of the resident big dogs but after a little bit I found out they LIKE ME! Everyone likes me! They say I’m awesome and sweet!  Do you want to find out? Can we read mysteries and go on trail quests together? Or maybe you like the urban adventure? I’d really be up for a puppachino in the park or on the couch anytime! How about this week? Come meet me and we will be the bestest buds! I love you already! Signed, Mr. Devid BISBY, puppy extraordinaire If you are interested in meeting please fill out an application at our website: www.gobeyondrescue.org/adopt Our adoption fee is $450 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping and up to date vaccines. We adopt within 200 miles of San Francisco.

Sasha is a gorgeous red Siberian husky with a queenly demeanor. Like many huskies, she`s no fool over strangers, preferring to play it cool until she can thoroughly vet you.&#10 &#10 Once you pass her sniff test (and you will), she`ll show her playful and affectionate side - but even then prepare to experience some diva-tude!&#10&#10 Sasha`s cheatsheet:&#10&#10 * Enjoys walks and going places.&#10 * Not big on cuddling&#10 * Needs plenty of time to settle in and feel comfortable&#10 * Requires an all-adult home&#10 * No other pets or small children&#10 * Loves and guards her food and toys&#10 * Is funny and goofy once relaxed.&#10 &#10 If you have big-dog experience and you also prefer your pets independent, Sasha might be the perfect dog for you. Bonus: An admirer has paid her adoption fee so you don`t have to. Come meet her from 12-4PM any day but Mondays at 1590 Fortmann Way in Alameda!

Story
I'm a professional dog trainer who is currently fostering Asha, a dog I've been working with for a few months. Her previous owners had to give her up, they were elderly and had mobility issues so were unable to keep up with her energetic personality. Asha is about 5-6 years old but still has a very youthful personality. She loves to be outside and explore and always has a smile on her face when she's on a walk! She's been coexisting peacefully with my dogs but I've never seen her around cats. She is a bit slow to warm up to new people but she is very expressive and affectionate once she befriends you. She has a bit of sensitivity to being pet or handled too quickly/roughly in certain situations so a family with young children might not be the best match. I've been working with her everyday to desensitize her to that sort of thing and also warm up to strangers quicker and I'd be happy to continue working with her new owners post-adoption absolutely free of charge!

Learn more hereMeet Gus, the furry handsome boy described as a loving teddy bear. He is a sweet boy who finds genuine happiness in simply sitting for a treat or strolling beside his hooman friends. Gus has a friendly temperament. He does best with an active lifestyle with lots of daily exercise and mental stimulation, and he is happy to communicate with you in his doggie voice when you have not met his needs. This cuddly boy enjoys belly rubs and is content to curl up on the couch with you after a full day of adventures! Gus has done well with other gentle, tolerant doggies in playgroups at the shelter. He engages in some play with other dogs and is sometimes content to just explore the yard on his own. He may do best in a home with another dog who enjoys occasional play sessions. Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more here Meet Luther, the lovable senior gentleman who exudes warmth and charm at every turn! At 7 years young, Luther is the epitome of sweetness, making him the wonderful companion for anyone seeking a loyal and affectionate friend.  If you’re looking for someone to be by your side as you go about your day, Luther is your guy!  He's friendly &  housebroken. He loves to eat and get treats!  He believes every Amazon package has treats or toys for him. Luther is crate trained (although he would probably prefer to sleep with you if you allow it!) and well-behaved in the home. At his current foster home he has been left for up to 10 hours free roaming or in a large x pen while his foster goes to work.  He is free to sleep where he pleases at night.  He goes from the open crate to the couch to the floor. He does have a little mischievous side, by pulling his bed out of the crate, sneaking treats that have been put out within reach, or opening a plastic bin that contains treats. Don’t let his “senior” status fool you.  He loves chasing tennis balls or squeaky toys.  He is a heavy chewer and enjoys a good hard bone or “indestructible” toys.   His former foster said he enjoyed playing with children of all ages.  He knows commands like sit, down, no, shake, high five. He knows “come” & “wait” indoors when there aren’t distractions. He uses the dog door when his foster is home with him & enjoys lying outside. Even though he loves to be by a person’s side, he does not have separation anxiety.  Luther can be barky and reactive towards other dogs if you’re out walking with him.  With some patience and training, Luther's leash manners will only continue to improve.  It is easier to redirect him away from smaller dogs than larger ones.  He does seem to have a prey drive, so a home without cats might be best. He dislikes loud motorcycles, he’ll bark at them if he hears them. He likes going in the car, but has a hard time settling down and will bark at cars, motorcycles, people, or nothing at all sometimes during the ride.  He does bark at the mail carrier and delivery people when they’re at the door, but quiets as soon as they’re gone.  Luther would do well with a family with a large backyard to romp around in and people to dote on in a quiet neighborhood. He might do well with another well matched dog. Don't miss the chance to welcome this wonderful dog into your life! Click here to learn how to adopt, and submit your adoption questionnaire. Story
https://www.youtube.com/@RehomeMaggie We are in search of a new, loving home for a pure sunshine dog, Maggie, due to a significant decline in her owner’s health and her own worsened anxiety. Living in the bustling streets of San Francisco has unfortunately heightened Maggie's anxiety, particularly with the noise and activity. Maggie is a beautiful, 5-year-old chow-chow mix filled with love and affection. Despite her anxiety, she remains a low-maintenance dog and an awesome companion, perfect for someone who enjoys quiet, peaceful times at home. She is up-to-date with all her vaccinations, spayed, and although initially wary of strangers, she quickly warms up given some time and space. Her ideal home would be a quiet, more rural area or a home with a backyard she can freely explore and feel safe in. She thrives in peaceful surroundings, enjoying visits to the beach, car rides, and short hikes.

Not good with dogs,
Story
At the Placer SPCA in Roseville, California, we have a 5-year old, white female Akita up for adoption. Her name is Pearl and she is very sweet and loves to play. She was surrendered to us when her family had to move into an apartment and she did not meet the weight requirement. We think she would do best in an Akita-experienced home where she can be the only dog as she has not been friendly with the dogs she has met, though she was in a home with another Akita when she was younger as well as a small dog. She also does not like her feet touched and has some resource guarding with treats. She has great manners and is easy to walk.  For more information about Pearl or to meet her, please contact: Placer SPCA 200 Tahoe Avenue Roseville, CA. 95678 916-872-6169 (This listing is to help assist direct placements of rescues that are currently with other rescue groups, shelters or their current owners.
