Story
Hi there! My name is Timber and I'm a 2 year old, 75lbs., neutered male Husky mix. I am a goofy boy who can't help but entertain you with my amazing acrobatics! I am pretty treat motivated but you have to grab my attention first. I can't wait to get started on learning how to be the best dog I can be, and work on these strange things the staff here call manners. Did you know us dogs don't have thumbs? So, we often use our mouths to try and grab your attention, I need to work on that. While I do, I should go home to a family with kids 10+. If you have a dog, I'd love to meet him or her. I've been very friendly with other dogs as long as we have the same playstyle and they don't mind my puppy energy!  Timber ID# A972308 I recently went on a field trip with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did: Timber went on a two-hour off-site, mostly a long, steady walk. We went from Lantos along Rollins Rd. to Broadway, crossing at two crosswalks to reach the Audi/Porsche dealership, then continuing to the Rollins side of the Rosalie O’Mahony pedestrian and bicycle bridge. At multiple crosswalks after the walk signal, Timber became jumpy as walking resumed, suggesting excitement when movement restarted after waiting. Timber crossed the O’Mahony bridge without hesitation, fear, or reactivity, and was comfortable approaching the fence to calmly watch heavy 101 traffic and louder vehicles passing below. On the far side, he crossed additional crosswalks to reach the Bay Trail, where keeping him on a short leash, staying physically close, and maintaining light tension reduced his jumpiness at those crossings. The walk continued along the Bay Trail and then across Airport Blvd. into Bayside Park. Timber showed good loose-leash skills overall; however, walking with a shorter leash, gentle contact, and sometimes with my leg and his back lightly touching seemed to help him settle and enjoy the walk. Back in his dorm, Timber worked on sit, down, stay, and place, then played a brief “find it” game with kibble.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Max is a 5 year old shephard/husky mix looking for his forever home. We've had Max as a foster. We took him in as his prior owner passed unexpectedly & the family couldn't keep him. He's 60-65 pounds, neutered, current on vaccines, housebroken & enjoys hanging with the family & playing tug of war with his toys. No health issues. He hasn't had a lot of exposure to young children but no issue with visiting nieces/nephews. He gets along fine with our chihuahua but is quite reactive dogs outside the home. Initially he had a lot of separation anxiety but is much, much better now. He is quiet & happy to relax at your feet/nearby. He is a big fluffy teddy bear who just wants someone to love on him. We'd love to keep him but it's no longer permitted where we currently live. We are desperately trying to keep him out of the shelters or being euthanized. We are hoping to find Max a forever home with a person/family that is looking for a furry friend. He will repay love given to him ten fold.

Story
**COURTESY REHOMING POST** Koda is not a CACC dog. We have not met him nor evaluated him and can't attest to his health or temperament. Please use the contact information listed to reach out and learn more. Meet 3 year old Koda, a big, handsome, 80-pound Husky with an even bigger heart! He and his younger brother, Lupin, are looking for a new forever home together. Though their family sadly can no longer keep them, these two boys have been very loved and cared for—and it shows. Koda is the ultimate “gentle giant.” He’s a cuddly lovebug who will happily melt into your arms, but he also has a silly side that keeps everyone smiling. One minute he’s a happy couch potato snoozing by your side, and the next he’s bouncing with energy, ready to join an active family adventure. He loves kids, is friendly with other dogs, and greets new people like they’re already his best friends. Truly, he’s the kind of dog who fits right into family life. Together, Koda and Lupin are a dynamic duo full of love and comfort for each other—and for their people. Koda is also wonderfully food-motivated, which makes him easy (and fun!) to train. He’s crate trained (during the day), fully house trained, neutered, and up to date on all his vaccinations. Play time with Koda means zoomies, chasing balls, and plenty of laughs. The only time he really “talks” is when he’s asking politely to go outside or reminding you it’s dinnertime. At the end of the day, he’s all sweetness and love, waiting to snuggle in. Koda and Lupin are a ready-made pair of joy just waiting to bring love, laughter, and adventure to their forever family. If you’re ready for double the fun and twice the cuddles, these two darling boys can’t wait to meet you! For more information please contact Charlotte at ctmstary@yahoo.com.

Story
**Note: currently, Saenan is in Korea. but he will fly to SF once he is adopted. Background Beautiful Saenan was rescued from a city pound in Sangju, Korea, last winter. Since then, he’s been living safely at our partner boarding house, sharing his days with other rescue dogs. Personality & Socialization Saenan is a happy, bright boy with a big heart. He loves to play with other dogs. Especially those who enjoy running and chasing just like him. Being a Husky, he’s full of energy and joy, and outdoor playtime is truly his favorite part of the day. When it comes to other dogs, Saenan has been very sociable and well-mannered. He spends most of his time with dogs around his size, and he’s always comfortable and loving in their company. He gets along easily and enjoys being part of the group. Saenan is also very affectionate and friendly with people, men, women, and even new faces. He warms up quickly to anyone who shows him kindness and loves being close to his humans. Behaviours Saenan has been an easygoing dog since joining our adoption program. He rides well in the car, does fine during baths and vet visits, and follows his human’s lead nicely. He doesn’t bark excessively and enjoys a calm, happy routine. After his outdoor play sessions, he relaxes quietly and enjoys cuddling or resting beside his friends. Saenan walks well on leash and hasn’t shown destructive behaviors. Health & Diet When rescued, Saenan was treated for heartworm and has made a full recovery. He is now healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home. He’s neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Saenan would do best with someone familiar with the Husky breed. Ideally, a family who understands their energy and exercise needs. He would love a home with another friendly, playful dog around his size to keep him company and share his adventures. An active person or family who enjoys outdoor activities would be a perfect match for him. Saenan is very loyal, smart, and loving, whoever welcomes him home will be very lucky to have such a faithful companion. ---------------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption agreement, please submit your link. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/saenan/

Story
Three years old, neutered, and was a rescue; it takes some time for him to earn your trust; he is strong and sometimes pulls on leashes when walking. He has typical stubborn husky behavior; no cats or small animals, and no kids under 14, please, due to his mouthy and nipping behavior, and his bite is strong; sometimes you will bleed if you force him, so do not! Always ask for his permission before patting him, especially when he is lying down, which is the most vulnerable position for an outdoor animal like him during his earlier life when he was left outside 24/7 in the yard with a lack of socialization and human interaction. He can stay by himself for around 4 to 6 hours, but remember that Husky is a pack animal, which is not recommended for more than 2 hours. When leaving him alone, you need to lock him outside or create a safe zone for him inside the house; just like most huskies, they will start to be destructive and chew when bored. Generally, after three years old, they will begin to calm down. He was never crate trained, rides decent in the car, but makes lots of exciting noise! Trial adoption is recommended; feel free to see if he fits your family, I need to find him a good home, so I do not mind taking him back if things do not go well with the adoption.
