Story
FOSTER CARE! Hi, my name is Rumble! I'm a sweet and playful 1 year and 9-month-old  husky mix who weighs about 60lbs. I am as silly as a husky and as cuddly as a pitbull, best of both worlds! Being a young husky, I have lots of energy, but I walk well on a leash, and I love playing with my foster brother (wrestling, chase, and tug-of-war are my favorites!). I'm super affectionate and cuddly—my foster says I'm a big teddy bear who constantly wags his tail. I've been practicing crate training, and I'm able to sleep there overnight as well as settle in my crate for short periods of time. I'm also getting the hang of potty training! I'll need an adopter committed to continuing my training, helping me practice my manners, and giving me lots of exercise. If you're interested in a happy, loving husky, ask Customer Service about Rumble ID# A956427 Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by emailing behavior@phs-spca.org You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. Story
Hi there, my name is Ekko! I'm a neutered, 8-month-old, Husky/ Shepherd mix that currently weighs 48 lbs., but I'm still growing and could be between 85 to 105 lbs. as an adult. I'm a curious, playful boy that has tons of energy to burn and training skills to learn! I'm a rambunctious and fun loving guy that loves running around the play yard and going on adventures. Due to my eager and energetic personality, I would do best in a home with older teens or adults. I'm also hoping for a family that understands the needs of high energy pups like me and is prepared to continue my training. If you are looking for a new adventure buddy, then I'm the dog for you! Story
- COURTESY POST - ALYSSA This is the sweetest tripawd girl who loves humans more than anything. It’s hard to believe Alyssa had such a tough start—found as a tiny pup wandering the streets of West Oakland alone, she lost her leg in a shelter dog fight when she was less than a year old. But instead of holding onto the past, she’s spent every day since making up for it with endless love and gratitude—like she knows humans saved her, and she’s determined to give back tenfold. Alyssa greets people with endless tail wags, always leaning in for pets and sticking by your side. She made a full recovery and is perfectly healthy, these days she sprints faster than most four legged huskies! She is equally down to go for runs or chill on the couch all day; wake up early or sleep in; sometimes I take her to Starbucks and she naps peacefully by my side for hours while I'm working on my laptop, accepting pets from passerbys. She can be a little shy with strange dogs, but with proper introductions, she can live happily with another dog - her foster brothers and sisters love her. Alyssa is fully potty trained and crate trained; she knows sit, down, stay, "go potty" and is a breeze to walk on the leash - this girl is hella smart and very easy to train. As her current handler, I adopted her six months ago from Oakland Animal Services shelter - but due to a change in family and job schedule situation, I find it difficult to care for two pups (I have a second dog who requires a lot of attention). Alyssa is up to date on all her vaccines (Providence Vet in Alameda) and has no medical issues, she is a great dog. If you are interested in meeting please fill out an application at our website: www.gobeyondrescue.org/adopt

Story
I adopted Arthur 12/6/2024. He is white with a “monocle” around his right eye, and speckled white-and-brown ears. His shelter intake form said he was 2, but vet estimates 4–6. Arthur is reserved with new people but with patience, he will start asking for pets and giving you kisses in no time (cheese and hot dogs help). I’ve successfully introduced him to friends in my home. He is low energy, spending most of the day sleeping and lounging. He is extremely sweet and gentle, good with people and cordial with dogs. No reactivity. I live in a busy neighborhood, which makes Arthur overstimulated and on alert during walks, checking around and behind him. Bustling city life is very hard and stressful for him. Sadly, my schedule does not allow for the dedicated training Arthur deserves. Arthur would do best in a calm environment, preferably with easy access to outdoors. He would thrive with an experienced family with time and capacity to nurture his growth.

Story
Snoopy is a wonderful, intelligent dog! He is an Australian shepherd, Queensland Heeler, Rottweiler, Husky mix. He is a beautiful dog and gets many compliments. I know his mother's owner and I adopted him when he was 4 mo old; he will be 4 y/o in May. He is 80 pounds. He knows simple commands, can do some tricks, is fully house-trained & crate-trained. Snoopy loves other dogs and especially to run with them. My friend, who is a dog walker and whisperer, says that he is dominant, protective of me, not aggressive but will defend. He is emotional and empathetic; he could be a therapy dog w/ training. Snoopy would love a bigger yard, either another dog or two to play with, and/or someone who can spend more time with him. He likes to go on long walks, & some of his favorite places to go are dog parks or the beach! I am rehoming him in large part due to my husband's recent health condition.
