We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Helllllllllo there! My name is Buzz! It's a great name for me because I'm very lively, energetic, and always in motion! I am a very fun, active fella, with a zest for life!! I love to play with toys, that is my choice for motivation, even over treats. Pull out a good toy, especially ones I can whip around and toss in the air, and I will have a blast amusing myself (and probably amuse you as well). I'm your typical Husky meaning I definitely like attention from the humans (and you'll know because I'll jump on ya when I'm excited), but I also like to do my own thing and be in my own little world. I am a very happy go lucky fella, with a go go go personality. I'm eager on leash because I want to run and have fun, so I will need some work not pulling too much when we go out. I would love an adopter familiar with us Huskies, as we have lots of interesting traits! Or someone patient, active, and willing to meet my high energy, mischievous needs! I am so excited to find my new home!

Story
Jupiter is a beautiful, sweet, loving and playful Akita. Sadly, her former owner became very ill and is unable to care for her. She is very affectionate, loves attention with lots of cuddles, scratches behind the ears, belly rubs, and enjoys being brushed. She is well versed with many common commands, such as come, sit, down, stay, leave it, backup, shake, and rolls over, which is quite a feat for a large canine lol. Even at five years old, Jupiter has proven over and over to be a fast learner and has adapted quickly to her new surroundings. We have been working with her to improve upon her existing recall to come when there are nearby distractions. She has been making tremendous strides. We are also in the process of working on her reactivity aggression towards other dogs. Jupiter needs to be in a household with no other dogs or cats.
