Dog was 1 year old when adopted from SPCA. She is now about 6 yrs old. She is fairly mellow but needs her walks. She loves playing with other dogs. She is gentle but gets hyper as well. She is not good with kids, as she tries to herd them. Unsure of children within the family. Need to be wary of joggers, bikers and passerbys as you walk her. She has leash aggression and her heeling instinct kicks in and can get her into trouble. She has nipped two people, unfortunately. She is OK at dog parks. She is the older sister to Luna, who was a couple months old when they became besties.

Koa is an adorable 7 month old male cattle dog mix, who has been with us a few months, becoming socialized to a home and other dogs. He currently weighs about 20-25 pounds. In his foster home, Koa is fairly confident and very playful with the other dogs. He has become very affectionate with his foster mom, but he still prefers dogs to people. Outside of the home, Koa gets overwhelmed easily, and is shy and fearful. In the house, he still can get startled by sudden noises or movements. The ideal home would be with a family familiar with dogs who have fear and anxiety issues, and a household that has a confident resident dog that is energetic and loves to play. Koa would do best in an adult-only household that is calm and with adopters and their resident dog who have the patience and time to help him build his confidence. We adopt within 200 miles of San Francisco.

Tilly was a rescue from Fresno brought to San Francisco in hopes of finding her forever home. Not much is known about her past, but what we do know is that she is 11 months old and still a very curious puppy with a great attitude. Tilly loves to play fetch, sit, stay, down, chew on toys and snuggle with you on the couch. She is crate trained and has been left at home for 3-4 hours without issue. We also know that Tilly has a vocal reaction to dogs and sometimes younger excited children. We have met and continue to meet with a professional behaviorist to work on this. While we have seen improvement in her reactions to other dogs/kids, living in an apartment complex with many other dogs and kids around is not the best environment for her to work on her doggy manners. This is unfortunately why we have come to the tough decision to look for a new home for Tilly. If you have no other pets, no kids but live a more spacious lifestyle, this is a perfect forever companion for you!
