Age: 3 years Dog friendly: Yes, needs another dog in her forever home Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Very close! Crate trained: Yes *PHYSICALLY FENCED YARD REQUIRED IN HOME* She is a huge, huge love bug and is getting braver every day. She is the most joyful pup and does spins when it is dinner time. Liz Lemon loves being outside and is much more comfortable outside than inside. She loves kids-more so than any other dog I've met. My guess is that she was an outside dog and only the children were nice to her. She has some hand shyness and spooks at sudden sounds and large hand movements. She does best if we sit down and let her come to us- and she'll climb right in the lap then. We are working on potty training- she will always go potty when we take her out, but we have to watch her closely inside. She's learned how to use the dog door, but she doesn't always take advantage of that. She has no issues in the crate. She loves other dogs and loves to meet new people on our walks. She walks really well on the leash. She does great in the car and does great with cats. She's learning basic skills and knows "sit."

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     *FOSTER HOME NEEDED* Chloe (2.5yo, 43lb) is a beagle mix (maybe with Bassett? Or Spaniel?) with a bright personality and a heart full of love. Weighing about 45 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of playful and cuddly—young enough to keep up on adventures, but mature enough to settle in at home. Chloe is potty trained, crate trained, and knows how to be a polite houseguest. She gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy a canine playmate, but she’d also thrive as your one-and-only. We’re not sure how she is with cats, but she doesn’t show signs of a strong prey drive. Unlike some more reserved pups, Chloe brings a quiet confidence wherever she goes. She adapts quickly, loves being part of the action, and is always ready for her next belly rub or walk. Chloe is looking for a new home through no fault of her own (previous owner had to move into assisted living). She’s a wonderful blend of affectionate, smart, and steady—ready to be your best friend for years to come. My name is Francis, or as my foster mom calls me, Franny. I am a Basset Hound/Lab mix born approx 6/7/24. I'm a bit on the shy side, but once I come around, I want to be near you all the time. I am potty trained and do well going potty on a schedule. I'm good with other cats, and my current foster home has dogs of all sizes. It is unknown how I am with kids, so a home with dog-savvy kids who know how to treat a shy dog would be best.  I do well in a crate with a treat, but I do have a bit of separation anxiety. I would do well in a home with no shared walls, no apartment, or townhouse. I love walks on the leash and car rides. I cannot wait to find my forever family!       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Lynn, Lynne, or Lynnie is a lovely, beautiful little girl. She's supposed to be a lab / basset hound mix but definitely has the face and voice of a beagle (she sometimes bays, but other than if she's startled by something, she doesn't bark much). She is, as"they" say about dachshunds, a dog and a half long and half a dog tall. She sometimes slithers under the bed and observes her pack mates from there. She's very affectionate and loves being right next to her person or on their lap.  She's cautious of new people at first, but warms up quickly and is very devoted to her person or people. She is housebroken, and after a few minutes she settles down and is quiet in her crate. She's in her crate when no one is home and for meals, but sleeps in bed with the other dogs and me overnight. Someone is home most of the time, and the dogs go out quite a few times during the day and evening. Lynnie is quiet in the car, traveling in a crate, but hasn't been for a ride with a doggie seatbelt. She is not used to walking on a leash and needs work to be safe with that. She loves to run and play outside, but can also be lazy in the house. She's very curious about what's going on in and outside the yard when we are outside. Lynnie is good with the other dogs in the pack, but she is NOT good with cats and probably not with other small animals either. She hasn't been around children since she's been with us.  She assimilates quickly into a pack, even with a lot of dogs (at least small dogs). She is very sweet with other dogs. She does not mind other dogs going into her crate or sharing  toys or nylabones with them. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxSay hello to Moto — named after the charming, chunky hippo from Madagascar because, well… the resemblance is pretty adorable. Moto is a short, stout, and incredibly lovable boy with the long body of a basset and the big blocky head of a Staffy. He was found wandering in a nearby park and brought to safety by a kind stranger. After completing his stray hold in doggie jail, Moto is now in need of a foster home where he can settle in and start shedding a few of those extra pounds. Moto is very overweight at the moment, but he’s got a big heart and an even bigger personality. Friendly, affectionate, and easygoing, he’s the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side (or ideally, snuggled next to you on the couch). He’ll benefit from a gentle routine of walks, a healthy diet, and a patient foster who can help him feel safe and loved as he gets back to a healthier weight. This mellow meatball is ready for a soft place to land — and maybe a few belly rubs along the way. Moto needs a foster ASAP. So we can bust him out of jail 7/11 Can you be the one to help him get back on his paws? Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //
