Meet Sebastian! Sebastian is a special kind of boy.  He has a pretty rough life that only he knows what happened.  He lost his eye due to some kind of blunt injury and it left him a bit skittish if he can see you.  He is the kind of boy that really loves to be one persons dog.  He does amazing with our whole family (5 of us) and other dogs.  But trust is something you earn with him.  He will need time to warm up and meet and greets do not always go well but if you give him a chance he will surprise you.  He loves to snuggle, does great in his kennel even though he does not need to be kenneled.  He is house broken, does great in the car and loves walks.  Sebastian deserves so much more than his past, but he will need the most amazing people to give him is future.  Will that be you? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Say hi to Mason! He is a 1 year old beagle mix and he weighs around 42 lbs.  He is a very active pup who loves to explore. Mason loves to be outside just sniffing new smells. A fenced yard is recommended since his nose will sometimes take him farther than he should wander. He has a few special needs but nothing that isn’t fixable. Mason has a sensitive stomach. The rescue is working very hard at finding just the right food for him. He also gets car sick but now takes medicine before car trips and he’s done much better. He loves to go in the car, his tummy just doesn’t like it very much. Mason is a counter surfer. If there’s a good smell he goes looking for it. He is doing better when I use the word off.  Mason is very leery of new people. He warms up quickly but will try to hide initially. Now for the good stuff! Mason is such a lover; he loves to cuddle and give kisses. He gets so excited when he sees his people, even when you’re only gone for a few minutes. He is very food and treat motivated. He learned to sit, shake and lay down very quickly. Mason loves the resident dog. They run, wrestle and explore together.  It would be great if he could go to a home with a furry friend. For how trim he looks Mason is actually very muscular and man can this dog run! It’s like he’s turbo charged! He also is a jumper. I believe with the right training and work he could be an agility competitor. We’re still working on leash training as he likes to pull because he’s so excited about new sights and smells. Mason does not bay like a beagle, he has a normal dog bark. He has been around older kids and been fine with them, I have no reason to believe he’ll be different with smaller kids. He is very content to chew on a bone in the house and likes to curl up next to you for pets. He is such a sweet boy and will definitely bring joy into his forever home! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $350 plus taxJimmy is a fun loving beagle! He is a get out and go on walk kinda guy! Of course being a beagle he does need frequent opportunities to stop and use his nose. He is getting along well with the other dogs in his foster home and quickly picked up on his place in the pack. He does well in his crate and sleeps there quietly overnight. He is also still working on his housetraining schedule but getting the hang of it. Jimmy seems to have minor reduced vision in his left eye, all of the testing MARS has the capability to do has come back normal and he doesn't seem uncomfortable at all. At this time MARS will not cover any additional testing, treatment, or consult with an ophthalmologist. It is a possibility that down the road if Jimmy's eyesight continues to decrease or his eyes become painful, additional diagnostics and treatment may be recommended with an ophthalmologist at the adopter's cost.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Hello, I’m Turbo! I’m a Beagle born approximately 11/3/20. I’m looking for my perfect family! I’m a super sweet boy who likes to curl up and take naps! I get along super well with other dogs and there’s a cat here but I’m afraid of her! I love to play fetch and just play in general! Toys are so much fun! I know how to “sit” “lay down” “stay” and sometimes when my momma says “dance” I’ll jump up and down. I love to please my people so they say I am a good dog to train. I am potty trained, house trained, and kennel trained! At night when the house is settling down, I’ll be on the couch with you, and bonus points if you cover me with a blanket! I can take a minute to warm up to people but when I do I’m your best friend! Little kids stress me out, so a home with no young kids is what’s best for me! Treats always help sway my opinion on you, just a tip! //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus tax        Henlo hoomans! I am Austin! I am a good beagle but I still have a few issues I’m working through with my foster pawpa and his fur fren. I came from da streets and so am still a timid boy and am slow to trust, but I want to it just takes time. I woof being outside and running around wif my fluffy fren and getting da zoomies out, but getting back in da house can sometimes be tricky as da outside is awesome! I woof all da treatos, but I especially woof da cheesy curds from Culver’s. I enjoy walkies, but I like to have the time to get the sniffs in so they sometimes take a while.    Some of my issues, besides being timid, are I can be a little vocal, but no more than you’d expect from a regal beagle like myself and I am having some issue with understanding that potty is to be always done outside, but da foster hooman and I are working on this. I’m also a bit of a chewer, so make sure I have chews to help wif my nervous chewing so I don’t go after your socks, or toys, or cables, or anything else I can get my teefs on I’m not supposed to have.     Won’t you give me a good, trusting home so I can show da world what an awesome boy I can be? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Rambler is a Beagle/Lab/Terrier mix (we are guessing!) Who is oh so sweet and good natured. Rambler came to us from a background of hardship. We don't know the full story but was told part of one of his ears was shot off? Was he a stray in a rural area and was shot at? We are not sure, but he came to rescue pretty meek and frightened of humans.  He also came to rescue with heartworm. He was successfully treated for that and has been diligently kept on Heartguard (Tri Heart Plus) since then.  He also has made HUGE progress since being in rescue. He is now more trusting and happy and open. He is crate trained, potty trained, walks well on a leash and loves to be with other dogs.  We are looking for a home for him with another dog (it helps his confidence) and a fenced in yard.  Rambler is one of those "heart dogs" that just get to you as you watch them embrace the kind of life they were meant to live.  If you want to make a difference in Rambler's life by giving him a loving home, please fill out our form below! Lance is 3 years old, and loves to chill and nap. He is great with kids and adults, and loves cuddling. He is a bit shy at first, but warmed up quickly. I adopted Lance last year before my job schedule changed. I am away from home more than 10 hours a day, and exhausted when I do return home. I love Lance enough to give him a chance at a more active life. ❤️

FosterHi! My name is Kasey and the vet thinks I’m about 10 yrs old. I am a black and tan chi mix and kind of resemble a beagle. I am a medium dog with my long legs and weigh about 20 pounds. I am doing so well in my foster home and have not had a single accident. I’ve even mastered the doggy door! I also get along well with my foster sisters and love to sleep near my foster mom in bed!I do need a little time to warm up to you, but once I do I want to be near you always! I love lounging in my kennel and naps are a must! I would love to find my forever home where I can follow my human around and get all the pets!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. I can't wait to meet you and start this exciting new chapter together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
My name is Mateo but my foster mom calls me shorty, probably because of my short legs. I am a basset hound but my face looks a lot like a German shepherd.  I’m very sweet and affectionate. They think I'm around 1-2 years old. I sleep quietly in my crate at night and I haven’t had any accidents at my foster moms house. When a rescue in Mexico found me, I had been living on the streets and struggling to find meals.  I traveled a pretty far distance: all the way from Mexico to the midwest in search of a family and stability.    Because of my past with food-insecurity, I don’t know how to share snacks/treats/etc with others.  Please be patient as I try to overcome this, and help set me up for success by not having me in situations where there could be “food scuffles” with other pets.  (Thank you in advance for making sure that my needs are met and I don’t have to go hungry anymore!)   I have a lot of energy, but that’s part of my charm!  I’m a silly boy and you’re guaranteed to laugh.  I’m smart as a whip and can learn tricks and commands quite well. Although I’m high-energy, I also have great regulation skills and can calm down when it’s time for cuddles.  I may have left a warmer climate, but I am still in search of a warm HOME.  Will you open your doors and your hearts to me?  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
