He’s part of the “Fair” litter and was raised in a home with kids before coming into rescue, so he’s already comfortable around people and everyday life. He’s proving to be exactly what you hope for in a puppy — affectionate, social, and full of personality. Personality: Happy, Loving, and Always Nearby Bumper Car is a classic love-bug puppy. He naturally gravitates toward his people and wants to be part of whatever is going on — whether that’s playtime, hanging out, or just following you from room to room. He is a sweet boy who loves to go on walks. He can get a little over zealous sometimes but he catches on quickly when you tell him he is being too much. Clover has allowed full handling and pets with no issue. We have not done a dog-to-dog meeting yet but he has met other dogs very nicely through a fence. Energetic, loving, and goofy 9-year-old Ella is super sweet but needs a family with an experienced dog owner. A little under 2ft tall and 40 lbs, she's sleek and muscular. Ella is fully house-trained and very patient with the three cats she lives with. She's never lived with kids but is generally chill with the children in the neighborhood.   She loves her toys, playing fetch, tug of war games, following you around the house, and of course, napping. Ella wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and is alert to someone coming to the door. She is highly food motivated, Ella picks up new tricks quickly but can be stubborn and easily distracted, so she needs lots of consistent positive reinforcement to maintain behavioral changes. She has many opinions and she will let you know about them.   Ella also plays well with other dogs, although sometimes she has issues with dogs larger than she is, but is good at de-escalating potential conflicts. Ella really loves company so if her new people are gone for a full work day she will need a canine companion. She's leash trained and always excited to jump in the car to visit the park. Rocco is a 6-8-year-old rescue, formerly known as Lil Duke (as noted on his old microchip). He was found on the streets of Sacramento and is truly one of the sweetest dogs. He is lively, full of personality, and loves to snuggle and play with his squishy toys. When excited, he greets us by carrying a toy, which helps prevent mouthing.Once he trusts you, Rocco is incredibly affectionate, enjoys attention, and sploots, while also appreciating his personal space, which he shows by stepping away when needed. He does not like being hugged from behind and can be reactive to other people and pets. He is generally quiet and would do best in a calm, loving home with a patient single person or couple. Experience with reactive dogs would be a plus, as well as someone who truly loves dogs and is willing to give Rocco the care and affection he deserves.Rocco has a large burn scar on his back. While we do not know how it happened, that did not make him lose his spark or his incredible personality.
