OCTOBER 2025 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! VICTORIA and her 4 kittens (GROGU - EWOK - MUCHI-JAWA) were part of a huge TNR effort in Los Angeles County. The group TNRed all the adult cats and rescued moms with kittens. They went to a foster. Then we were asked to help get them good homes. Now Ms. VICTORIA is ready for her FUREVER home! Meet VICTORIA, a very sweet and vocal tortoiseshell cat with a personality as colorful as her coat. This chatty girl will make sure you know exactly what she's thinking with her various meows and trills. Don't be fooled by her soft and sugary disposition, though—VICTORIA can be a little feisty and sassy, especially when she's trying to get her point across. She absolutely thrives on human interaction and loves nothing more than getting a good chin scratch or a long pet session. While she adores attention, she can be a bit shy when meeting new people, so a quiet and patient introduction is best. When it comes to other cats, VICTORIA is a "queen bee" at heart. She's okay with other felines, but she definitely prefers to be the ruler of her castle. She needs a patient and easygoing cat companion who will respect her boundaries. There’s no violence in this feisty girl—she’s all talk and sass, not a bully. Despite her regal attitude, she’s still very much a playful cat who loves chasing toys and pouncing on imaginary creatures. Her playful energy and loving nature make her an incredibly special and entertaining companion. If you're looking for a vocal, loving, and sassy feline to rule your heart and your home, VICTORIA is the cat for you. Adopt VICTORIA, and let her fill your life with love, laughter, and companionship. VICTORIA is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TORTISHELL MIX. She is 5 years 4 months old. She is OK with cats and non-reactive to dogs. She will be happiest with one other cat or by herself. She has never been around children. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. PEPPER and LEO have had a rough life already. They were from a Lawndale colony of outdoor cats. The people are super nice. The trapper TNR’D 6 cats that were all adults. PEPPER and LEO were too small to return. They deserved a chance to be adopted. And the fact that they had 3 older siblings that were killed by the neighbors running them over was the reason we saved them. Meet PEPPER, a charming Black Calico from sunny Lawndale, California, who knows how to make an entrance! This delightful little lady is a swirl of midnight black and soft amber patches, creating a unique coat that’s as captivating as her personality. PEPPER is equal parts sweetness and sass—she’s that friend who always has something to say, greeting you with friendly meows and an endearing purr or two as she shares her thoughts on the day. If you’re looking for a social kitty, PEPPER’s your girl. She’s a total chatterbox, and her lively "conversations" will keep you entertained. Her communication style is as varied as her fur pattern: she’ll let you know when it’s time for attention, when she’s ready for some cozy lap time, or especially when she’s hoping for her favorite treat—Churru! Oh, how she loves that tasty little reward, and she’s sure to look at you with those soulful eyes until she gets it. PEPPER is a certified lap cat, with a deep affection for pets and snuggles. She’s happiest curled up right beside you, making herself at home on your lap as she soaks up all the love and attention you’re willing to give. She adores human companionship, but she’s also a fabulous companion for other cats, blending into a multi-cat family with ease and grace. PEPPER’s friendly, easygoing nature helps her get along wonderfully with her fellow felines—she’ll be more than happy to have a playmate or two! With her sweet, friendly disposition, PEPPER is a natural at bringing warmth and joy to any environment she’s in. She’s looking for a home where she can share her cuddles, her chattiness, and her love of treats with someone special. Are you ready to add a sprinkle of PEPPER to your life? This lovely Calico is ready to brighten your days with her sweet meows and endless love. To make PEPPER part of your family, apply @ Workinwhiskers.com PEPPER is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / CALICO MIX. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. VANESSA FISK has had a rough life. We believe someone dumped her in our area. She found herself to our outdoor colony. We found her in our front lawn, attacked by some kind of animal. We rushed her to the vet. She has a huge scar under her fur. You cant see it at all. Meet VANESSA FISK, a beautiful DSH Calico mix from Hemet, California, whose essence is gentle resilience wrapped in a striking coat of white, orange, and black. VANESSA FISK is a large, shy, and timid cat who has faced some challenges in her past, but she’s ready to find a loving and patient family who can help her continue to heal and blossom. VANESSA FISK is an independent soul who finds comfort in the quiet companionship of other cats. Having lived peacefully with fellow felines, she would thrive in a home with another calm and understanding cat to keep her company. Her experiences have made her a bit wary of new environments, so she’ll need a pet parent who can offer her the gentle encouragement she needs to feel safe and secure. While Vanessa hasn’t had much experience with dogs or young children, her timid nature suggests that she would do best in a calm, dog-free home where she can gradually build her confidence at her own pace. A quiet environment with adults or older children who can respect her boundaries would be ideal for this sweet girl. Vanessa’s beautiful calico markings are matched by her soft, soulful eyes that tell the story of a cat who’s ready to embrace the kindness and comfort of a loving home. With time, patience, and plenty of love, Vanessa is sure to show her new fa family just how much affection she has to give. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will appreciate your care and offer quiet companionship in return, VANESSA FISK could be the perfect addition to your family. Are you ready to give this shy but loving cat the home she needs? VANESSA FISK is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / CALICO MIX. She is about 8 years and 2 months old and is good with cats. She has never been around dogs or young children. We don't think she will do well with dogs. The vet thinks a coyote or loose dog attacked her. VANESSA FISK is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS was found in a lady's back yard in San Jacinto, California. Her dogs kept chasing them out. She ended up catching him and his foster siblings (DANIEL HARRELSON, SERGEANT DONOVAN ROCKER, OFFICER VICTOR TAN and SERGEANT DAVID "DEACON" KAY). She put them in her garage and in a frantic realization called everywhere to have them saved. You see she discovered they hit puberty and were trying to get out, leaving nasty smells and fighting. Lucky for her all 5 of them were boys. They are with our rescue now. He has been living with another set of foster siblings more his age. His foster siblings are: CSI DR. GIL GRISSON, CSI SARA SIDLE and CSI DR RAY LANGSTON. These guys came from different area but were closer to his age. Meet COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS, a dignified Siamese gentleman from San Jacinto, California with striking blue eyes and a soft coat that’s a masterpiece of cream and chocolate tones. Despite his fancy name, COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS is a humble soul who prefers a quiet, laid-back life with just the right amount of playful mischief sprinkled in. COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS is a bit shy at first, but his heart is easily won over with the right approach—specifically, the rustle of a treat bag or the smell of a can of cat food. Those are the keys to this reserved fellow’s affections. Once he feels comfortable, his playful side emerges, and you’ll find him bouncing after toy springs with a mix of focus and feline enthusiasm that’s downright endearing. Though he isn’t one for long cuddle sessions, COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS will graciously allow gentle pets before retreating to his personal space. He’s a fan of companionship on his own terms, giving just enough to remind you of his affection without overwhelming his independent streak. COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS is a friend to other cats and enjoys their company, making him a fantastic addition to a multi-cat household. He’s also impressively nonchalant around dogs, showing no signs of stress or worry in their presence. While he hasn’t had any experience with children, his calm demeanor suggests he’d adapt well to older, gentle kids who understand his boundaries. Siamese cats like COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS are known for their intelligence and social nature, and he brings his unique spin to these traits with a quiet charm that’s all his own. Whether he’s batting at springs, lounging nearby, or enjoying a treat-filled bonding moment, COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS is a cat who brings a steady, comforting presence to his home. FEBUARY 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes, and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN and 10 other cats were dumped in the Home Depot parking lot in Hawthorne, California. Our trapper friend was notified and she started trapping them. She took her because she was emaciated. Eyes were sunk in and a bad URI. She had a litter somewhere and she was too sick to release back. Because she was in such bad shape, we think the kittens all passed. I'm hopeful that they were saved by a rescue. We helped the trapper with 4 cats. And will hopefully help her with any of the rest of the cats. We named them after the show BONES. The rescue mama was watching that show at the time. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN, a feisty Siamese mix from Hawthorne, California whose striking white coat is as bold and brilliant as her larger-than-life personality. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN is the kind of cat who marches to the beat of her own pawsteps. She's got sass, class, and a touch of mystery—true to her namesake. With a mind as sharp as her claws during playtime, she keeps things interesting with her signature blend of charm and strong opinions. She’s playful, intelligent, and never one to turn down a good game of chase-the-feather or laser-pointer espionage. This confident lady knows what she likes—and she’s not afraid to let you know. Her preference? A quiet kingdom where she's the reigning queen. While she’s full of personality, she prefers not to share her domain with other cats. She’s a solo act, and honestly, she rocks it. Turkish Vans are known for their athleticism, playful spirit. She’s curious and clever, always eager to investigate new spaces or watch the world go by from a windowsill throne. Just be ready to give her a little space on her terms—she’s not one for constant snuggles. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN thrives in a calm environment with a patient and loving caregiver who appreciates her independent streak and can match her clever energy with enrichment and play. She’d be a great fit for someone who values personality and a touch of drama in their feline companion—because with DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN, life is anything but boring. Could your home be the mystery-filled adventure this bold beauty needs? If you're ready for a one-of-a-kind cat with a sharp mind and an even sharper sense of humor, DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN might just be your perfect match. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / SIAMESE MIX. She is about 3 years and 11 months old. She has lived with cats, but would do better by herself. She has never been around children or dogs. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Story
APRIL 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. NUGGET was saved by an independent rescuer. He was found in the sewer by an El Pollo Loco in Compton, California. The poor little guy was by himself and very malnourished. We were asked to help and now he is with our rescue. Meet NUGGET, a young feline who embodies a delightful blend of characteristics that make him a joy to be around. Independent yet loyal, NUGGET enjoys his own company but is always ready to show his affectionate, cuddly side. He's a gentle giant soul with a playful streak, keeping himself entertained with a keen sense of curiosity. His goofy antics are sure to keep you laughing, and his mellow demeanor brings a calming presence. NUGGET's bravery is admirable, though he can be a little shy at times. But once he warms up to you, you'll find a sweet, friendly companion in him. He's smart too, quickly figuring out things and makes games off anything he finds. His energy is infectious, making every day brighter. Adopting NUGGET means inviting a bundle of joy, laughter, and love into your life. His unique personality is sure to enrich any home with warmth and happiness. NUGGET is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TUXEDO MIX. He is 3 years and 0 months old. He is good with cats and is non-reactive to dogs. He has never been around children. NUGGET is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.
