Delilah is a 2-year-old 13lb Dachshund Mix. She is a happy & playful girl. Delilah loves to play & run in the yard. She does good with other dogs with the proper introduction. Delilah is very loving & walks great on leash. She would benefit getting some basic obedience training & in a home where she can get proper exercise. Delilah would make a great addition into an active family who would take her with them. She would do better in a home without cats. Delilah does well with kids with supervision. While the shelter environment can be overwhelming, Sparky Loko showed his gentle and sweet personality right away. He quickly warmed up to handlers as staff and volunteers alike noted his friendly and loving nature. With the help of a dedicated foster, our team at Dog Coalition LA was able to get him out of the stressful shelter and into a foster home. Now in his foster home, Sparky Loko’s personality is blossoming. He is potty trained, comfortable in his crate, and doing well with leash manners on walks. His foster describes him as affectionate, food motivated, and outgoing. Sparky loves being around humans and is often found nearby hoping for a few extra pets. He is playful when his people are home and often rubs up against them for attention. This guy has a spunky personality, very expressive eyes, and is ready to find his forever home. Sparky Loko is currently being fostered in a home with cats and is taking introductions slowly while showing respectful behavior toward them. We believe he would also do nicely in a home with another dog given the right fit. He hasn’t met a person he doesn’t like and clearly enjoys human companionship. He is about a year old, 24 pounds, and would do best in an active home and with folks who are familiar with crate training. Thurston has received professional training and his adoption comes with a training session to set him up for success. He has a spicy personality and definitely needs a strong pack leader. He is super super smart and is loves to take walks and play fetch! Thurston loves everyone and is dog friendly when given proper leadership. He has been adopted and returned but that was due to the classic case of people letting him run the show at home and learning behaviors that aren't ideal. However, we've reversed alll of that and are looking for an owner who will continue to give him proper training who can follow the recipe that we give them. Foster, foster to adopt, or adopt Lincoln! Lincoln is a super sweet, loveable, 21 lb goofball. He was in very rough shape when he entered the shelter in Central California - for the second time in November (no fault of his own!!), and due to being a staff favorite, fortunately made his way out of the shelter system quickly and found himself at the REAL Bark rescue. After being in a loving foster for a few months, Lincoln has shown us what a wonderful boy he is, and at the still youthful age of 10, is full of life, love and excitement about the world. He is very food motivated, and gets extra excited around mealtimes, puzzle toys, a good bone, and happily joins in multiple short walks during the day. He loves getting cuddles + pets, and loves a good snooze. He’s overall just a really sweet boy and loves all people and dogs. He has some standard senior maintenance needs and his foster has built a wonderful manual to help his forever home maintain his comfort. He is ready to find that third forever home (3 is a charm!) to take him through his wonderful Golden years, where he will give back so much love to his people. We love seniors - they are the best, the wisest, and the loveliest and Lincoln is all of that! Please note that we are currently set up to adopt within the Los Angeles county area.
