Story

For those who are up to a challenge, we are looking for an experienced foster/adopter who can help Hopper. Hopper is a special little guy who needs someone who can work with him and his issues. He has triggers that have lead to bites. He needs help working with someone who knows how to retrain his brain. Hopper is a quirky little guy who does love people, especially when they understand his quirks. Hopper is trustful of the person who cares for him and loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. He needs a person to understand his boundaries and that he gives love on his terms. He loves to run at full speed into rooms to greet everyone there. He is very food motivated. He does not like to be picked up and has a dislike of harnesses. He's getting better with allowing harnesses but needs more work on being desensitized to them. He needs someone who understands and accepts that he does not like being picked up, which is not really necessary. He's learned to use stairs to get up on the couch to sit next to you. At night, he's good in a kennel or on a dog bed. Hopper is good with other dogs who are his size. He's not too welcoming of bigger dogs but tolerates them to a point. He can be food protective so no trying to take away his bowl once he's eating (who would do that anyway?). Hopper is neutered, vaccinated and house trained (might mark in the beginning like most male dogs do). Please contact us if you can help Hopper. Say hello to Henry. We had Henry back in 2021 as a puppy with his mom and 3 siblings. They all found great homes. Unfortunately Henry was returned to the rescue due to unforeseen circumstances with his adopter. He is a 3 years old, Doxie Minpin mix weighing in at 21lbs. This handsome boy has adorable bat ears, a long muscular body and cute short legs. He is good with humans of all ages. He is also good with dogs of any size and age and will play with them just fine. He is good on walks, is potty/pad trained and is just perfecting the doggie door. This sweetie loves to cuddle and sleep on the bed next to people. Kiki is a 12 lb., 3-year-old sweet girl. She came to us pregnant and in need of a safe place to deliver and take care of her puppies. All her puppies are in their forever homes and now it's her turn. She is low key and shy at first meeting. She is learning leash walking and doing well but in need of some continued training. She loves to play with toys and all her buddies at our rescue facility. She will make a great little companion doggie. As with all our dogs we highly recommend positive reinforcement training to insure proper training. This super sweet girl is looking for her forever home. The adoption fee is $400 which includes: spay/neuter, microchipping with registration, up to date on vaccines, rabies vaccine (for dogs and pups over 4 months at time of alter), deworming, and topical flea treatment application (as needed). Tango and his siblings were born on December 11, 2023. They were born to momma Zoe a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. Zoe came to us after receiving a plea for rescue to save her while pregnant in a high kill shelter. The puppies have been raised with our rescue and are happy, healthy, playful and social little puppies. We are not sure on the Dad/Dad's, but by their looks and size they look Chihuahua.  These sweet pups are looking for their forever home. Because of their small size no small children or large breed dogs please. We do highly recommend positive reinforcement training to ensure a well behaved and tempered puppy/dog. Sajh (similar to how you pronounce massage) was born April 1, 2010. She’s 14 years old this year. I’ve had her since she was a baby and at this time I can no longer keep her and meet her needs. She is a senior that has cushings disease which causes her to be thirsty and require ability to drink lots of water. As a result of increase water usage, there’s increased bathroom usage and I work very long days. As a result, I’m looking for a home for that has an option for her to be able to go out in the backyard and play or sunbathe, uses the bathroom at her leisure and or someone who has the ability to provide multiple bathroom breaks. She’s never bitten anybody, she’s never attacked any children, and she has several teeth that I’ve been pulled, so she’s a snaggle baby. She’s a good dog overall, I just don’t have the time in my current schedule to give her what she needs. She loves cuddles, car rides, walks, and lap lounging.
