Meet MaviA sweet and loving dog who has been part of our family since she was a tiny puppy.She was originally found in a parking garage when she was one month old. Some friends of ours took her in, but unfortunately, their apartment complex did not allow dogs. At the time, we had just purchased our first home and had plenty of space, so we happily welcomed Mavi into our family.A few months after bringing Mavi home, we found out we were expecting twins. Once our twins were born, life became much busier than we ever anticipated, and as much as we love Mavi, we realized that we weren’t able to give her the time, attention, and activity she deserves.Mavi is a wonderful dog who deserves a family that can give her plenty of love and attention. We would especially love to find her a home with someone who enjoys long walks, being outdoors, and spending lots of quality time with her.This is not an easy decision for us, but we want to do what’s best for her.

Story

Purdy is a sweet, loving Dalmatian born in 2015. We got her from a breeder as a puppy. She knows heel, sit, stay, roll over, and come. We’re seeking a loving home that can provide companionship and needed veterinary care. Before age one, she bit our other dog twice; a family member needed stitches after separating them. That dog was rehomed, and Purdy has had no further biting incidents. She generally ignores dogs on leash, does not lunge, and has boarded around dogs without incident. We remain cautious around other dogs. We have kept her separate from our children as a precaution, so her experience with children is limited. Careful supervision and precautions around food aggression are needed. She has had nose scabs and skin sores since 2023 that need veterinary evaluation, possibly by a dermatologist. We cannot afford this care. Her teeth have not been routinely brushed. We hope to find someone who will love her and meet her needs.

She is happiest when she is exploring alongside her person and would make an amazing companion for someone with an active lifestyle. Sasha is incredibly loyal and forms a strong bond with her people. She loves being part of her “pack” and is deeply devoted to those she trusts. With that loyalty, however, she can sometimes become possessive and does not always do well with other dogs. Because of this, Sasha would do best with an experienced and confident dog owner who understands canine behavior, can recognize her cues, and can provide consistent boundaries and guidance in the moment. With the right person, Sasha has so much to offer. She is adventurous, devoted, and happiest when she has a person to bond with and plenty of opportunities to get outside and explore.

She is: - Very sweet, affectionate, and loving with her people -Protective of her family - Food motivated and eager to learn - Crate trained and potty trained -Knows basic commands - Loves playing fetch and going on walks - A little timid and shy at first, but warms up quickly We are making the difficult decision to rehome her because she has resource-guarding behavior around food/treats and other pets. Because of this, she would be happiest and safest in a home where she is the only pet. This is a difficult decision for our family, and we want to be thoughtful about finding the right home for her.
