Story

Senior Alert!! Sherman is 11.5 yrs old (DOB 08.30.12). He’s the absolute best boy with other dogs of all sizes. He does prefer a home without any cats. Sherman would do well in a home with older children. He is an absolute love, who is happy cuddling up on the couch with his humans and snuggling, but despite his age he also LOVES his daily walks. Sherman is now almost completely deaf, and has trouble seeing in the dark because of changes in his eyes due to age. But, he’s still extremely strong when on walks or even playing. He knows basic obedience commands and is crate trained, house trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He would do best in a home with somebody who is home almost always as he does have some separation anxiety. Sherman is not a SacRDR rescue dog. He is one of our foster's rehoming projects. She is a Vet Tech and is in the process of starting her own rescue. We fully back her and her dogs. We have collaborated on rehoming several dogs with her and the dogs are stable grounded animals. Meet Ralphie! Ralphie is about 1.5 years old. He is a happy boy who is full of energy! Ralphie is already crate trained. He is also potty trained in his current home, but as with any dog, he will need gentle guidance on the learning the appropriate place to potty in his new home. Ralphie seems to enjoy the company of other dogs of all sizes. He loves playing with other dogs and toys in his foster home. Ralphie knows how to sit when asked and is very food motivated, which will help make his continued training so much easier! Story

Meet Liam! Liam is a big goofball and an even bigger cuddle bug. He always wants to be part of the action, and LOVES to be by his people. He loves to curl up on the couch and be a lap dog… despite being 75 lbs. While in foster care Liam has been working on his house-training, crate training, basic commands and walking on a leash. We guess he's about 3 years old. Liam is a big love bug with a lot of love to give! He loves to play with stuffed toys, but will go bonkers for a bone! He also enjoys peanut butter kongs as a nice treat. Liam loves to give and receive big hugs from his favorite humans. Liam previously lived nicely with other big dogs, but after a long time in a very stressful shelter he started to get over-excited at dogs behind barriers. He is working on this while in foster care and has already made good progress. He has met a couple cats as well in foster care. He does not have a high prey drive, but he also is still learning how to interact with them. He likely did not live with cats previously. Liam has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. Bring home this goofball to his forever family today! Meet Bobby! Bobby is about 14 mos old (a/o 3.28.24 - DOB 1.24.23) and weighs about 55lbs. He is fully vaccinated, has been neutered and microchipped. Bobby is crate trained, potty trained and knows some basic obedience cues. Bobby is a pitbull/husky mix. He has been in a foster home with multiple dogs and children and seems to enjoy their company. Bobby can be a bit timid when meeting new people and takes a little longer than his brother Ricky to warm up but he’s the sweetest boy, and once you're in his "Circle of Friends" you're a friend for life! Bobby would thrive with an active lifestyle. He will do best with a family that will consider him a true member of the family and let him participate in the family activities. Last summer, when the wading pools were put out and filled, guess what happened? We've discovered that Bobby loves the water! Sooooo, if you're looking for a water-loving mutt, look no further. Meet Jolene, aka JoJo! Jolene is about 1y, 3mos old (DOB 1.10.23) and weighs about 45lbs. She is fully vaccinated, has been spayed and microchipped. We are unsure of Jolene's breed, as she was found as a stray. She has been in a foster home with multiple dogs and while she seems to be selective about her canine companions, she can be okay with the right match after proper intros and supervision. Jolene especially enjoys playing with toys and other dogs, once proper intros have been completed. She is a smarty, with a BIG personality. As Jolene is strong-willed and a little spirited, she would do best in a home without children. Jolene is an active girl who would do best in a family that will consider her part of the family and include her in the family activities. She needs a fully fenced yard with at least 6' tall fencing. She would make a great hiking buddy, and is currently honing her leash manners. Jolene is crate trained and knows some basic obedience cues. Jolene is not a SacRDR rescue dog. She is being fostered by one of our volunteers, who is a vet tech in the process of starting her own rescue. We fully back her and her dogs.
