Story

After my mom’s passing, her dogs Jill and Riker are looking for a caring home. They are very bonded and will need to be adopted together. We hope to find them a safe, loving home by the end of February. Riker is a sweet 10-year-old chiweenie who is deeply bonded with Jill, and they will need a home together. He can be a little cautious at first, but once he learns to trust you, his loving personality shines. Riker absolutely adores belly rubs and neck massages, and he’ll happily soak up any attention you give him. He’s a good eater, enjoys playing, and loves being close to his person. Riker does need a dental cleaning and a few teeth removed, and I will cover the cost of the procedure.

Story

Kiki was adopted from the SPCA Sacramento and is a loving, very friendly dog. She enjoys going to the park, loves car rides, and does very well with kids. She is fully house-trained and goes outside for her business. Kiki is well trained and communicates her needs clearly—she knows how to ask for food, treats, and when she needs to go outside. She plays only with her own toys and will not touch other household items once told not to. She may be a little particular about her toys at first, but once she feels comfortable, she enjoys sharing and interactive play. She is being rehomed only due to my international relocation from the USA to India. This is a very difficult decision, and my priority is to find her a safe, stable, and loving home where she will be treated as a true family member. There is no rehoming fee. I am happy to provide her supplies, food, and veterinary records to help make the transition easier.

She is closely bonded with Riker, and they truly comfort each other. Jill is still active, though she can move a bit slowly at times. She can be a little head-shy and tends to bark at first, but she settles down quickly. She also loves playing with Riker.

Story

Due to unfortunate circumstances we have to rehome our sweet boy kai. He was adopted from the petco shelter. He has bad allergies so thats why you see a donut on his neck to prevent licking.He isnt handicapped or disabled just that he has allergies. We spray him morning and night on his belly and leave a cone on him when hes alone.he is so sweet but takes a awhile to warm up to a new person. He has bitten people before but only because they walked straight up to him.he gets along with our pomeranian. But we haven't tried introduction to other dogs.once he feels comfortable he is so loyal to the people around him. We have a mobile groomer that he trusts and likes. He will bite any regular groomer because of to much stimulation. If we thought he would be a true problem we wouldnt rehome him. He is so sweet and I hope he is loved unconditionally

Story

Bailey is one Chill Dude! He is a big Velcro Dog. He pretty much just wants to sleep most of the day, as long as he knows where you are but loves a nice long walk too. He is great on leash, no pulling or reactivity. He is the epitome of a gentle giant. He loves his foster's Cal King bed. She said she probably should not have let him get on it BUT the lure of having a huge snuggle bunny in bed at night, was just too tempting. Now he is in heaven and rarely leaves the bed. Bailey came from the Stockton Shelter, he had a large mass on his spleen, and an enlarged prostate with 2 very large testicles swinging around. We were able to raise $5,000 to get all of his medical done - splenectomy, neuter and ears cleaned and treated) and now he is just perfect. Tumor was benign so he is ready to be your life size snuggle bunny, if you are ready. We have noticed slight resource guarding with human food (reason he should not be in the kitchen) and high value treats but it is not very bad and we are working on it using "trade up" or not allowing him to have items he feels he needs to guard. As far as other dogs, he really does not care about them. Same with cats, just sorta looks at them and then goes about his business. BUT, that does not mean there is no prey drive. We will be testing him. As far as children go, we have not had him around any of those yet, but will. I suspect he treats them just like everything else, checks it out and then moves on his way. He does have a special need. We are pretty sure he is deaf. While he was under for his operation they cleaned out his ears and treated them but he still does not really hear much. Might be why he is so chill. We will have the ears looked at next to see if there is anything more needed for him. He is ready for new foster home or adoption. We are willing to do a Foster to Adopt or just a foster if you are interested. We need him to get more interaction with other stimuli, the home he is in now is very quiet. Meet Gigi! Gigi is the perfect balance of independant, but also engaged. Meaning she doesn't have to always be up in your business. She is content to explore without constant attention, but also enjoys cuddling on the couch while you watch your favorite TV program. Gigi is a healthy adult dog. And despite the gray muzzle, she' only about 4 years old. She's an active girl, who also likes to curl up and relax on the couch with her favorite people. She knows the command "sit" and can give you her full attention for a "watch me." She enjoys treats and takes her treat rewards with a gentle mouth. Gigi enjoys a nice walk. She does pull a bit on leash, and is learning to walk politely. She is also non-reactive to other dogs during her walks, which is a nice bonus. Because we don't have a foster home available, Gigi is currently in boarding. We would love to get her into a foster home so we can get to know her better, but for now, one of our volunteers goes to visit her on the weekends and takes her out for outings and visits to her house. Our volunteer reports that Gigi does very well during those outings. She loads up easily in the car and seems to enjoy car rides. She is a polite guest at her house, and behaves nicely on walks with her resident dogs. Gigi is selective about her canine friends, but could do well with the right match and proper and slow introductions. If you're interested in meeting Gigi for foster or adoption, please let us know.
