Story
Meet Kiah, a delightful canine companion with a heart full of love. Her sweet and friendly nature makes her the perfect buddy for anyone. Kiah is gentle and mellow, always ready to offer a comforting presence. Yet, she also knows how to play, adding a dash of joy to every day. She's an adult dog, but don't let that fool you - she's got a youthful spirit that shines through in every tail wag and playful bounce. Kiah's gentle soul and playful demeanor make her an ideal companion for any home. Her love knows no bounds, and she's ready to share that love with a family who will cherish her. Adopt Kiah and let her bring a touch of sweetness and fun into your life. Kiah is still learning how to share her favorite treats with her companions, so we recommend that any children in her new home are age 5 or older so they can understand her boundaries. She may do well with other dogs in her new home after a slow introduction. If you already have a canine companion at home, we recommend taking advantage of our in-shelter dog introductions to ensure that Kiah will be comfortable with her new furry friend.Adoption Price: $250

Story
Logan has been enjoying time in a wonderful foster home while he patiently waits for his furever family. He has become pals with the neighbor's dogs and loves sharing their morning walks together. Logan enjoys playing with balls and soft squeaky toys, cuddling on the sofa, going for car rides, getting a bath, romping around the backyard, and meeting new people. He is house-trained and crate trained. Logan has exceptional manners know all his basic commands including sit, wait, and shake. He may be an older boy however you would not be able to tell! Logan has no mobility issues and easily hops into the car (which is loves and remains calm and well behaved), and up onto the sofa and bed when invited. He is also respectful and just as happy to sleep on his dog bed next to his people. Logan is a wonderful low to medium energy dog with polite indoor and leash manners. He is a great cuddler and couch potato when you are relaxing together on the sofa. Logan has some preferences, he would prefer children over five, and although he does love having dog friends, he would prefer to be the only dog in his home. Logan is highlighted in our Trial to Adopt promotion!!!!! This is a wonderful opportunity to experience Logan at his best in your home! Please come by and see Logan, we know you will fall in love with this graceful boy! ***Check out my video by clicking "play" under my photos!***Adoption Fee: WaivedTrial Adoption

Story
Gumbo recently went on a two-night sleepover at one of our volunteer foster homes, and they learned that Gumbo is a happy, playful, easy, sweet, affectionate, and well-behaved companion. He had a great time meeting the neighbor's dogs and enjoyed his morning walks with these three dogs in their Sun City Roseville community. Gumbo has lovely leash manners, no pulling on the leash. Gumbo enjoys playing with soft squeaky toys, retrieving a ball in the backyard, cuddling on the sofa, going for car rides, getting a bath, leaning in for petting, romping around the backyard, and welcoming visitors in the home. Gumbo never barked at the wildlife or the golfers from our backyard facing the Sun City golf course. Gumbo is house-trained and had no accidents in this foster home. He loved getting a bath in the walk-in shower, standing patiently throughout the wash - and then wiggling with happiness while being toweled dry. He hopped into the backseat of the car and was well-behaved during car rides. He loves to put his nose out the window when rolled down halfway. Gumbo doesn't always enjoy having his feet touched, so we are requiring that any children in his new home are age 10 or older. He can be selective of the other dogs he shares his space with so we will be providing dog introductions to potential adopters who already have a resident dog to see if Gumbo and his new friend are a good fit. ***Check out my video by clicking "play" under my photos!***Adoption fee: WaivedMonthly Promotion Applies

Story
Touch of Velvet... Who doesn't love the feel of velvet? In this case, find it with Alyssa lying quietly by your side. She has velvety fur and beautiful eyes. Her smile is precious with an adorable underbite. Her tail tap-taps with happiness when she is comfortable. Belly rubs are on the ‘Yes, please' list for sure. Alyssa recently visited the home of some volunteers and they reported that she continues to grow and learn her way around the world. She has recently discovered that car trips can bring happiness, maybe a French Fry or two, sights and sounds beyond the shelter, new neighborhoods to walk, and back yards to roam. She is still growing, and some recent victories include jumping into a car, maybe for the first time after tentatively climbing in just a few days ago. She is still working on the big leap from the car, so far it's a careful climbing exit, but she is getting it done. The volunteers shared, "It was fun to watch her explore their home, more confident by the minute. Explore, check-in, and explore some more is how the day went. She can be very interested in things along her walks, so a relaxed approach to outings worked well." Alyssa would love to join her new family on a picnic. Bring along some dog healthy snacks and she will show you a good appetite and appeal to you for some of yours. She may do well with other dogs in her new home after a slow introduction. Come in and meet Alyssa, then imagine where life might take you both.Adoption fee: WaivedMonthly Promotion Applies

Claude is a sweet, loving boy who is looking for his forever home! He is always happy to see his people and likes to roll over for belly scratches. Claude loves to play, though he is still learning how to bring the ball back for a proper game of fetch. While he loves pets almost anywhere, he doesn't always like having his feet touched. We recommend that any children in his new home are age 5 or older so they can understand his boundaries.
