Story
Hi, I'm Tilly! Well, let me tell you — life has a funny way of working out. Not long ago, I was out on my own, wandering the streets of Indianapolis just as the temperatures started to drop and the clouds were rolling in. Suddenly some pretty incredible people from a rescue saw me and said "not on our watch." And just like that, my whole world changed. Since then, I've been soaking up every single moment. I've met so many dogs (big ones, little ones, all of them wonderful), I've made friends with cats, I've charmed every human who's crossed my path, and honestly? I think I'm pretty good at this whole socializing thing. I've seen parks, neighborhoods, new smells, new sounds, and I've handled all of it like a champ. No drama here, just vibes. Now let me tell you about my favorite things: Fetch? Tug? Love it! My signature move is I stalk the toy first. I crouch down low, lock in my gaze, and then? ZOOM. I'm incredibly light on my feet and I think it's one of my best qualities. I bring a lot of joy and a lot of speed to a backyard. I've been told I have a sweet, soft soul, and I think that's the truest thing anyone has ever said about me. I love deeply, I play hard, and I'm ready to pour all of that into a forever family. My dream home? A place with another young dog who can keep up with me and be my very best friend. But I'd also thrive as the only pup if my family is committed to playdates, adventures, and giving this puppy energy a proper outlet. I just need somewhere to *run*, someone to *play with*, and a couch to crash on at the end of the day. A few things to know about me: I'm fully potty trained and crate trained — pretty impressive for a girl who was just found on the streets, right? I want to be part of the action so sometimes I talk while I'm in my crate but I do settle fast. I'm also fully up to date on all my vaccinations and ready to go! I survived a storm, and now I'm ready for my sunshine. Could that be with you? Come find me. I've been waiting for you.

Story
Meet Fritz! A two-year-old bully mix with personality to spare. From the moment you meet him, his charm is impossible to miss. Fritz is the kind of dog who fills a room with warmth and makes everyone around him smile. He is a true lover at heart, and despite his size, he is completely convinced he belongs on your lap. Fritz thrives on connection. Whether it's a lively game of tug, a round of fetch, or a romp in the woods. He is happiest when he is doing things with his person. He has put in the work too, Fritz has been through training and knows how to walk politely on a leash, drop his toys on cue, and take direction from any handler. He is ready to be a great companion from day one. You may have even met Fritz in person! He has joined us at our adoption events at Metazoa Brewing Company right here in Indianapolis, where he has charmed every human and dog who has stopped to say hello. Fritz's ideal home is one where he gets plenty of engagement and interaction, someone who loves playing and spending quality time with their dog will be his perfect match. Life with other dogs: Fritz has spent time around many different dogs and is excitable, but prefers to do his own thing. He does best with a calm, middle-aged dog and has also done well with younger dogs around six months to a year old. He prefers a companion who respects his space. If a dog pesters him, Fritz's solution is simply to walk away and do his own thing. He is not a reactor; he is a peacekeeper. Small animals: Fritz has a strong prey drive and will chase small animals including cats, squirrels, and bunnies. A home without small pets is not ideal for him. Good to know: Crate trained · Potty trained · Leash trained · Loves the outdoors

Story
Finn is a sweet, silly, and incredibly quirky little dog with a big personality packed into his 30-pound frame. He’s social, and has proven he can live well with a variety of dogs, making him a really fun and engaging companion to have around. Like many terriers, Finn is smart, opinionated, and not afraid to express himself. Because of this, he can be a bit pushy or demanding at times, especially if boundaries aren’t clearly defined. You may see things like demand barking or him testing limits in everyday situations. He thrives with an owner who understands that this is part of his terrier nature and is comfortable providing clear structure, consistent expectations, and fair corrections. Someone who can confidently say “no” and follow through will bring out the very best in him. With the right balance of structure and freedom, Finn truly shines. He is incredibly smart and would love to learn new tricks! He already knows a handful of commands including "Spring" where he jumps up like he is on a pogo stick! He has the potential to enjoy a wide variety of environments, whether that’s getting out on adventures or relaxing at home, but at the end of the day, his favorite place will always be at his person’s side. He’s an affectionate, loyal, and entertaining companion who will make an incredible match for someone looking for a dog that can fit into many different lifestyles while still being their dedicated sidekick. Finn is a medium energy dog, and will do fine with a small activity on week days and longer activities and exercise on the weekends.

Story
Meka is a 5yr old GSD with a very sweet disposition, very alert and eager to please. However, she has some anxiety and gets extremely jealous when attention is given to another pet. She was rescued by us after being abandoned and left at a shelter 6 hours away. We brought her home thinking that she would be a great playmate for our 2yr old Lab but we were terribly wrong. She's very aggressive towards him, and attacks him whenever he attempts to enter the yard while she's in the yard. She bites him multiple times a day and gets very jealous whenever we show him any attention. We also have a cat that she regularly growls and barks at. These animals were here first and it's not fair to them how she behaves. We love her very much but think that it's best that she live in a home where there are no other pets. She would also make a great companion for someone who lives alone and has no other pets.
