Story
Piper is a big snuggle bug, loves a good nap, and tagging along on walks. She is great with adults and cats, but dogs are a no-go. She is approximately 7 years old. We have to rehome Piper because we are expecting our second child under two years old and will not be able to give her the attention she deserves. She has not been aggressive toward our baby but she has displayed body language suggesting jealousy and we are not willing to risk that with two little ones. She would be best suited to a childless couple or single person. Regardless, she is a great dog and we are sad to see her leave.

Story
Meet Aristotle! This very special approximately 4-year-old boy is looking for a special home to call his own! He was found as a stray and is very timid with people. He has opened up A LOT to his foster family and loves to give kisses and cuddles, but new people and environments are still a struggle for him, and he will require an owner to have patience with him. He can and will go over a 6-foot fence, so he will need to be on a leash when outside. He is very much a husky in so many ways - independent, silly, and stubborn :) He is very dog friendly, and we will require him to go to a home with a confident dog that he can learn from. He gets excited to see cats, must mostly ignores them after the initial excitement wears off. We are working on house and crate training and he has been doing wonderfully, but he is very used to wearing a male wrap if needed. Aristotle's adoption fee is $100 and he will come fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. His adoption fee also includes a one-time training consultation with our training partner, It's a Breeze Dog Training, to help integrate him into your home! Interested in meeting Aristotle? Story
**Foster Home Needed - Currently in Boarding** Meet Jerri! This sweet girl was pulled from the shelter back in March after an urgent plea from one of their amazing volunteers. Jerri had been found as a stray and was not doing well in the shelter environment due to the stress and needed out STAT! She was also suffering from entropion eyes, which is an abnormality of the eyelids in which the eyelid rolls inward. The treatment is surgery and as soon as we could, she had her surgery done on both eyes and she is now fully healed and ready for her forever home! Jerri is approximately two years old and is an American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier mix! She is a strong girl who is absolutely strikingly beautiful. But she's not all looks - she's also the sweetest girl you'll ever meet :) She can be slightly timid at first, but her confidence gets better every day and her favorite thing to do is be with her humans. She absolutely loves people of all ages and is a total Velcro dog! However, she is more selective with her dog friends - got along fantastically with an easy going male, but did not like a more high strung female. No kitties for this big gal. She is one who would thrive in as an only dog so she can just spend time with her people. She enjoys a walk or hanging out in the backyard (including sunning herself), but isn't very high energy. She is also a great car rider and does pretty well on a leash. She has done well with her housetraining and crate training as long as she's kept on a schedule. She is VERY food motivated :) Jerri's adoption fee is $200 and she comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is also heartworm negative and has been on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Interested in meeting this special girl? Visit www. helpingpawsonline.com/adoption-application and apply today! If you are interested in fostering her, please complete a foster application through www.helpingpawsonline.com/foster-application . Helping Paws provides all food, prevention, and medical care.
