Story
Kai is a wonderful, energetic dog with a big heart. She’s smart, affectionate, and very food motivated, you can teach her just about anything with a treat in hand! I’ve had Kai for three years after adopting her from the Indy Humane Society, and she’s been an absolute blessing. Unfortunately, with my new work schedule, she’s alone 14–15 hours a day, and that’s not fair to her. She deserves a home where she’ll get plenty of love, attention, and activity. Kai is house-trained and knows basic commands, though she could use a bit more obedience work, especially around guests and on walks. She can be anxious at times and will do best as the only dog until she has more social training. Please only consider adopting Kai if you’re ready to commit to her for the long term. Someone adopted her recently, but it didn’t work out because of another dog in the home. It was incredibly hard for me to let her go once, I never wanted to do it again, but I truly believe this is the best decision for her.

Story
Clover is a big, huggy girl, who thinks she is a human with A LOT of love to give! I rescued Clover earlier this year from the humane society and, as much as I love her, I am unable to keep her due to my busy schedule. She needs someone who has time to take her on walks, runs, and just play with her in general! She is a little over a year old and has a lot of energy, but she, also, cuddles too! She is very loving, eager to learn, and knows a few commands like shake, sit, and bed. For her new home, I am looking for someone who can give her the attention she needs for a happy, healthy life. She does well with other dogs. Clover does have a tendency to put her paws up on you, but will get down if you say down or no.

Story
Kylo is a 5 year old, neutered, sable German Shepherd.  He has a good GSD bloodline and is up to date on vaccinations. He is loyal, sweet, and smart. He has done some formal obedience classes and loves to walk and be outside. Kylo would do best in a home where he’s the only dog because he is reactive to other dogs. Someone with GSD experience and proper introductions would be beneficial if he’s going to live with another dog. Kylo comes from a loving, established home.

Story
Luna is the SWEETEST girl! She will win your heart with her soulful eyes and warm smile. Luna loves to snuggle and is such a LOYAL SWEET dog who will bring so much LOVE to your home. She has already been through home changes, so we really want to find her forever home. Luna was a rescue who came to us unexpectedly following an extended pup sitting where she became part of our family. When her owners asked if we would keep her, we said yes! Unfortunately, (after loving her for over 2 years) we can no longer keep her. We now have cats in the home, and she has a very high prey drive. Luna needs a home without any small animals. She is wonderful with children. She has done well with our other dog who is the same size as her. They share food, she does not resource guard. The two play quite a lot and will compete for our love and attention. Breed is unknown but suspect may be lab, mastiff, pitbull mix. Upon adoption we will also send Luna’s XL crate, harness and leash.

Story
Lucy and Leo are a bonded pair and would need to stay together. With four kids under 5 we just do not have the time they need. Looking for a owner who is willing to take both and has the time to take care of these two. They are great with our 4 young kids, not so great with other dogs. They have never been around cats.

Story
I have a beautiful 2-year-old female Black German Shepherd, spayed, loving, and energetic. Sadly, due to personal and financial challenges, I can no longer give her the care, time, and attention she deserves. She has been raised with love, and I always cook her meals since she doesn’t eat kibble. She is loyal, healthy, and affectionate, and it breaks my heart to part with her, but I want her to find a safe, happy home where she’ll be cherished. She has received professional training twice—once with Sit Means Sit and again with a dog behaviorist—and has learned many commands. While she’s made great progress, she still has a few quirks, like occasionally jumping on cars or randomly on people and dogs, which can be improved with continued consistency and patience. I am looking for someone who will love her like family and give her the attention she needs. She will always hold a place in my heart, and I will miss her dearly, but she deserves the very best.
