Story
🐾 Meet Brodie! 🐾Brodie is a 1-year-old, 75-pound Great Pyrenees/Husky mix with a big personality and even bigger energy! This handsome guy is looking for an active home that can keep up with his adventurous spirit.✔️ Good with dogs, cats, and children✔️ Potty trained✔️ Walks fairly well on a leash✔️ Knows how to sit✔️ Loves attentionBrodie is a high-energy pup who does best after getting at least 30 minutes of exercise—once he’s had his run time, he settles in much better for handling and attention. He can be a bit stubborn when corrected, so he’ll need a patient and consistent owner who understands independent breeds.🚧 Important things to know:• Brodie is an escape artist and roamer—recommend a secure fence (8 ft does well for him) or other secure way to contain• Not good with poultry• Unknown with other livestockBrodie is scheduled to be neutered on 6/25 and will need to come back to the shelter for his appointment. If you’re looking for a fun, active companion and have the space and structure he needs, Brodie could be your perfect match!📩 Interested in meeting Brodie? Contact us or stop by to learn more!

Story
🐾 Meet Sir DH! 🐾Sir DH is a 9-month-old, 64-pound Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix who is full of energy, personality, and potential! This young guy came to us as a stray and is looking for a very experienced, structured home ready to help guide him into a well-mannered adult.✔️ Scheduled for neuter on 6/25 (adopter must bring him back for appointment)✔️ Not aggressive with other dogs✔️ Will respect a cat that sets boundariesSir DH is still very much a puppy in a big body. He has no formal training yet and will need consistent guidance, structure, and patience. He is extremely high energy and will require a proper outlet to burn that energy daily.🚧 Important things to know:• Escape artist — will require secure, escape-proof confinement• Dog interactions are immature — he may bark and grab at the back of another dog’s neck (puppy behavior), so any dogs in the home must be very tolerant and patient• Required to meet all dogs in the home prior to adoption• Best suited for a home with no children or older children only due to jumping and overwhelming behavior• Needs a firm, experienced owner who can provide structure and trainingSir DH has a lot of potential in the right hands, but he is not a beginner dog. With the right leadership, exercise, and training, he can grow into an incredible companion. If you’re ready for a challenge and want to invest in a young dog who needs guidance, Sir DH may be the one for you!📩 Contact us or stop by to meet Sir DH!

Story
🐾 Meet Bandit 🐾Bandit is a 5-year-old, 66-pound Husky with a goofy personality and a whole lot of love to give!✔️ Scheduled for neuter on 6/25 (adopter must bring him back for appointment)✔️ Loves belly rubs and attention✔️ Thinks he’s a lap dog (and will happily prove it!)Bandit is full of classic Husky charm—he’s dramatic, expressive, and yes… he sings! 🎶 He loves to rub along your legs like a cat and soak up all the affection he can get.He has only ever lived outdoors, so he’ll need guidance and patience as he adjusts to life in a home. With time and consistency, he has great potential to settle in and thrive.🐾 Personality & behavior:• Initially a little timid with new people, but warms up quickly• Appears fearful of cats when they hiss or swat• Can be dominant with other dogs—did not do well with a male dog he met• Did better with a submissive female, though he came on strong at firstBandit would do best with proper introductions and is required to meet any dogs in the home prior to adoption.💛 Bandit has a lifelong companion, Bella. While they are not required to be adopted together, they would love to stay together—and adopters who take both will receive a discounted adoption fee.If you’re a Husky lover ready for a talkative, affectionate, and entertaining companion, Bandit might be your guy!📩 Contact us or stop by to meet Bandit today!

Story
🐾 Meet Bella 🐾Bella is a 6-year-old, 52-pound Husky with a quiet, aloof personality and a gentle heart that just needs the right home to feel safe.✔️ Sits nicely for treats✔️ Independent and low-key personalityBella can be timid and reserved, especially in new situations, and will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. She has lived her entire life outdoors, so she’ll need guidance and consistency as she adjusts to a new environment.🚧 Important things to know:• No cats• Very dominant with other dogs—does best with submissive dogs only• Requires a dog meet-and-greet prior to adoptionBella is currently in heat, so her adopter will need to be very diligent in preventing any chance of pregnancy before her scheduled spay on 6/25 (adopter must bring her back for this appointment).💛 Bella has a lifelong companion, Bandit. While she can be adopted separately, they are able to safely go home together (they have never reproduced in their 6 years together). If adopted as a pair, there is a discounted adoption fee.Bella may not be the most outgoing dog, but for the right person, she has the potential to be a loyal and steady companion.📩 Contact us or stop by to meet Bella today!

Story
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN NEW ENGLAND & THE MIDWEST Dear Future Forever Family, Hi! My name is Annie, and I'm a beautiful chocolate labby girl looking for a family to call my own! If you're looking for a dog who believes there's no such thing as "too much together time," we might just be the best of friends! New people and unfamiliar situations can make me a little nervous at first, but once I warm up, my walls come down and my sweet, loyal personality starts to shine. My favorite thing in the world is being close to my people. If you're looking for a devoted companion, I could totally be your girl! I'll happily follow you from room to room, keep you company while you work, watch TV, cook dinner, or relax on the couch. Wherever you are, that's where I'd like to be too. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and currently live with a Great Dane. We enjoy the occasional play session, but we're just as happy relaxing together. I'm also kid-friendly and enjoy being part of the family. I'm still learning a few basics like leash manners and commands, but I'm eager to please and trying my absolute best every day. What I need most is a patient family that will help me continue building confidence and discover that the world isn't such a scary place after all. In return, I promise unconditional love, unwavering loyalty, and a best friend who will always be by your side. Fair warning, though... once I fall in love with you, personal space may become a thing of the past. :) All my love and tail wags, Annie Annie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and current on preventatives. If you'd like to give this sweet chocolate girl the forever home she's been waiting for, apply to adopt at www.luckylabrescue.com.
