Story

Scarlett will be 8 on March 16, 2027. She is a purebred Australian Shepherd but due to being born premature, she has an adorable tail. Scarlett does extremely well with both dogs & cats however is not a fan of children, playing a part in our decision to rehome her. Scarlett melts at your feet at the slightest touch and is a firm believer that your personal space, is also her personal space. She loves playing fetch and knows simple commands. We would like Scarlett to go to an experienced owner with the ability to take care of her medical needs. She has chronic ear infections & after getting her allergy tested, we found she is allergic to the natural yeast she produces. So essentially, she's allergic to herself. She also is a bundle of anxiety, shaking at the slightest raised voice or yelling from our children. Scarlett is one of the greatest dogs I have had the privilege of taking care of. We desperately want her to go to a good loving home who can give her a calm environment.

Meet Joey! I was contacted tonight that this guy was caught and needed a safe spot to land. Another rescue has his housemate and the owner is unable to care for them anymore. I am told he is about 6 months old BUT I'm arguing with her about that as this boy weighed in at 73 lb tonight. I went to lift him into the car and about regretted my decision to not workout for the last 6 months 😳🫣. He did well in the car once I gathered my strength to get him in. Once we got home and he got comfortable I found out he knows sit and catch. Just like a true lab he will work for treats. He is not used to a leash at all so he will require a fenced in yard. He lived with other dogs previously and has been around cats. He was on the run for a little bit so he is sound asleep tonight in his crate as I'm sure he had a busy day. This handsome guy was living the Amish life and needed a soft spot to land. Tessa, of course, said yes. Had poor Kevin ever been inside? No idea. Ever been on a leash? Probably not. Been to the vet. Don't think so. But now he knows what warmth, dog beds and individual time is ❤️🐾. He loves being outside. He loves other dogs. He is also ok with cats. He likes following you around and will come when called. He has a couple things we are still working on. When meeting new people, getting into a car and a few other times he will pee. Has it gotten better? Yes. But it still happens. Hoping there is someone out there that will give Kevin a chance. ❤️🐾

Rocco is a loving, sweet playful dog with a lot of energy. He just turned a year old about a month ago. He is very protective and territorial. He is very strong. Needs an owner that can give him walks because I am pregnant and my shoulder and wrist is hurt and I cannot give him the attention he needs. He does chew up things and needs an owner that can continue to train him not to do that. It takes a lot of time and energy and with me being pregnant and always sick I cannot keep up with his busy ways. He does great playing with my autistic son and we wish we could keep him but it’s not in the cards for my family. I want him to be able to live his best life not spend a lot of time in his cage because I can’t give him the attention and training he needs. Hoping someone will help us because the thought of bringing him to the animal rescue mission, and then potentially putting him to sleep breaks my heart.
