Story
Hi, I’m Cookie 🍪 I am a five year old Australian Shepherd. My family has made the heartbreaking decision to search for a new family for me to spend forever with. I need to be the only pet in the home. I am bright, athletic, loving, and the best family member. I am the best girl and love people and children so much, I will smile and wiggle with happiness . I am crate trained even though I don’t need it, potty trained, respectful of my home and love tennis balls and my bones. If you would like to meet me, please contact my mom. My mom and Dad will be asking lots of questions.❤️❤️❤️

Story
Teddy is a sweet, loving pup. He is a stellar cuddler and has the kindest heart. Unfortunately, we believe he has had a tough life with likely some abuse. We acquired him from a friend who was temporarily fostering him, and we've been committed to showing him love and affection; however, we have three children, another dog, and a cat. Teddy wants to be friendly with everyone (cat, dog, humans, neighbors) and snuggle all the time, but when his environment gets a little loud or unpredictable (common in our busy household), he shows signs of aggression. He has a history of biting, but only in situations where he is feeling threatened in some manner. I wholeheartedly believe he has made a lot of progress in our home and could be trained to soften his aggression, but this will require some time and effort. A quiet home with older children who can give him space or no children would probably be best. He only has issues with our small terrier when he is too excited to be his best friend.

Story
Sugar is available for adoption.... Again. Please only apply if you are serious! I am looking for a foster to adopt home within an hour or so of Sturgis, MI. ❤️ 5 years old, 5 pounds ❤️ Good with dogs, cats and kids ❤️ Potty trained IF you pay attention ❤️ Great in the car She is super friendly and can go anywhere with you. We have taken her to a downtown event and even to a full day of garage sales. She likes to sleep in bed. She was from an Amish family so I would guess she is good with other animals like chickens and horses. ❗❗ She is diabetic but is doing great. She takes insulin shots twice a day. The cost of the insulin and needles is about $80 a month. She will need bloodwork every so often to check to make sure her levels are correct. Each vet has a different coat for this. She takes 0.5 units which is a VERY small amount. Other things to know about a diabetic dog: 1. They eat their meals right after insulin so you can't just have food out for other animals they could get into. 2. Their food is important. She is currently eating science diet which can be bought from most any pet food store including TSC. 3. You do have to watch their activity. They can go low or high with their glucose. Thankfully, we have not had any issues while she has been with me. 4. They can live a long, happy life with a little extra care. Sugar still does need to be spayed and have a dental but she needs to gain another 3-4 pounds before that can happen. So I would like to find a foster to adopt home somewhat local. Sugar is also safe here until that home can be found. We have learned she will bark when left alone and will try to eat a crate so our puppy proof living room is where she stays when we are gone. NO apartment living for her as your neighbors will turn you in for noise 🫣🤦. Otherwise she is quiet and the most perfect girl. I had a lot of people reach out when I first posted her. PLEASE talk to your whole family before applying. Talk to your vet so you are well prepared on adding a diabetic dog to your family. This is a lifetime commitment so please give it some thought ❤️

Story
Sweet Senior looking for a retirement home! Baylee is super sweet, lives toys and to lay with you. She is about 13 pounds and 12 years old. She is friendly with people and would probably be ok with respectful kids. She has lived with another dog and cats. She is used to living in a home and unfortunately lost her home recently. She just had a dental and senior bloodwork. She does need Kidney food but she loves it! She would love a lap to lay on!

Story
Welcome Petunia. We took on 3 sibling sisters and two of them have been adopted. Petunia is the last little girl available. She is the sweetest and is catching on to potty training, crate training and good manners. She is currently living in a foster home with other animals and kids. Guessing age of about 9 weeks and about 12 pounds. Mom probably weighs 60 pounds and Dad is unknown. Breeds are just a guess. We have pictures of mom. She has seen the vet and is ready for a forever home. She will leave on a spay contract to be spayed by 8 months old.

Story
Meet Roxie ❤️🐾 As of June 20, Roxie has been patiently waiting in her foster home for 52 days, and her foster family can't figure out why this sweet beagle hasn't found her forever home yet! The best way to describe Roxie? She's simply happy to be loved. Every day she greets her people with happy feet, a wiggly butt, and a smile that makes coming home the best part of the day. Roxie is around 9-10 years old, but don't let her age fool you... She's always ready for a walk and can pull on a leash from being so eager to explore. She lives wonderfully with 2 other dogs and 2 cats. She's the kind of companion who just wants to be part of the family. Now, Roxie does have a few requests for her future home: A soft bed and a spot on the couch. Meal time is her favorite event of the day, and she eats like she's competing for a gold medal. Her foster family has turned dinner into a fun brain game with a slow feeder, which she absolutely loves. Like many rescue dogs, Roxie is still learning. She spent her previous life living outside 100% of the time, so she's adjusting to life indoors. She's mostly potty trained, with only two accidents during her entire foster stay, but she's still figuring out how to let her humans know when she needs to go outside. She's also learning that crates aren't scary. She'll settle in one during the day, but she'd much rather not walk in voluntarily just yet. One thing her future family should know: if the front door opens, Roxie may see it as an invitation for a little adventure! She'll need a family that's mindful about keeping doors secure while she continues to learn. Roxie isn't looking for a fancy life... just a family who will give her the love and comfort she's waited so long to find.♥️ Please share this post so Roxie can find the forever home she deserves.
