Story
Vinny is loving friendly, enjoys car rides, & loves to cuddle. He gets along great with our 4 kids (3-14yrs), cat & other dog. We first considered rehoming when we moved to a bigger neighborhood with much smaller yards but decided to keep him & see if things improved. The change has been tough on Vinny, and after a couple years of trying to keep him a part of the family in hopes he would get used to it, we have come back to this decision. The new neighborhood =more foot traffic, more cars, more dogs, more kids/friends, & a lot more noise. He barks at new people in the house, sounds & people outside our home. This was not an issue as we had plenty of yard to be distanced and we had less foot traffic through the door. In this environment he seems to always be on edge & every noise that he can’t see or is new can cause him to bark. Because of all the distractions he struggles going to the bathroom outside, & from time to time poops in the house He had heartworm before we adopted him

Story
Sadie came to my home about a year and a half ago when my father suffered a stroke. We were hopeful that it was temporary, but sadly my father passed. I have two children ages five and seven, A huge Saint Bernard and two female cats. Sadie gets along well with the cats and my children, but is having some issues with my bigger dog just because they’re fighting over my attention. She was born in 2018 and lived with my father who was 73 and retired so she’s used to a quiet household and is used to not being alone. My hope for Sadie is to have a mature person with experience with the breed and a fenced in backyard. I live in the country and Sadie has become used to her yard, but I would not trust her off leash until she’s completely familiar and comfortable with her new home and people. I also hope for someone who has a lot of compassion and patience with her situation. She has been through so much!

Story
Poe is an amazing dog and is smart and friendly. He weighs 65lbs, has a chip, and is up-to-date on all his vaccines. He loves to cuddle and play. He is high-energy and would do well with a family with kids who love to throw the ball or chase him around or someone who likes to go for a walk or run. He picks up tricks very easily and he is trained on ringing the bell at the door to go outside. We also use an invisible fence with our dogs. We do have a cat that he is very interested in, he likes to chase her sometimes but that's about it. We have 3 kids between 7 and 13 who are not as enthusiastic about dogs as my husband and I, and we both work so Poe is often left in the cage during the day and not able to get the exercise and play he needs. I would love to see him get the attention he deserves. He would make an amazing best friend and companion.

Story
Lucy is a 3 year old rat terrier that we rescued as a puppy. Lucy is a very sweet and loving girl. She loved cuddles and play time! In July 2023, she unfortunately slipped out of my screen door and injured a dog that was in our front yard. I believe it was a territorial response. However, with a new baby at home I unfortunately do not have the time to give her the training and attention that she needs. I love Lucy and recognize that this environment is not the best place for her to thrive at this point. She is a lovable girl who will make a family very happy!

Story
This is Vader! Look at his ears though! He is a sweet 9/10 month old boy we rescued in January. When you walk in the door after work he will greet you with so much joy you would think it is the first time he is meeting you! He is full of energy and loves to wrestle with our other rescue pup, but he can outlast him in duration and intensity. For that reason he would do better as an only dog. This also applies to little humans, his excitement can make him overwhelming for kids under 13. He wants to please and is very obedient. When we got him he was very nervous and anxious, he has relaxed some, but may always be more of an anxious dog. He needs patience and love. He is very responsive to the beep on an e-collar, I have only had to vibrate a handful of times, never had to shock. Fully crate trained, does well with potty outside, you just have to stay on him, few accidents inside. I am devastated having to rehome him; we have an 8 year old that is overwhelmed by him.

Story
Georgia is a sweet loving girl. She loves all people and is good when first meeting a human! She loves to be petted, loves to run, very energetic. She is good with cats, lives with another dog. Highly intelligent very trainable. She would benefit from having a lot of room to run! She needs an active family. Unfortunately, I am moving soon and cannot take her with me.
