Archer came to us through our cruelty department at the end of January and is a sweet boy weighing about 42 pounds. He’s been a little nervous so far and has enjoyed sitting on walks to watch the cars and people go by. We`re still getting to know Archer as he settles into the shelter.DOG-FRIENDLY

Story
Crosby was picked up as a stray in Syracuse and is about 47 pounds. He is an affectionate and independent boy who likes to sniff all the good smells on his walks, but doesn’t mind if you need to go for a run instead. He’ll be your chill bud any day of the week. Rain or snow or shine. And when it comes to treats, he’s very patient and respectful. He was offered chicken nuggets once and didn’t even try to take them until he was sure they were for him. He`s also playful, enjoying games of tug and fetch, and is an easy going calm boy when things are less exciting.

Story
Cal is a 1-year-old heeler mix who came into the shelter with another dog. Much like other heelers, he’s wicked smart. He’s a typical working dog puppy where he will need daily mental stimulation such as doing enrichment activities, playing with people or other dogs, and going on walks where he can sniff and explore. He might even like having a job to do (Maybe he can help you shred boxes for recycling?). Cal listens well to corrections and commands and would do wonderfully with training to establish good habits.DOG-FRIENDLYNOT CAT-FRIENDLYALL-AGES

Story
Nolan came in with his buddy Cal and is showing to be a pretty typical working dog puppy. He likes to be engaged with mentally stimulating activities like fetch (he’s still learning) and going for Sniffari walks. He’s learning to be affectionate as he warms up to the volunteers and shelter life. Being a working dog and a puppy, Nolan will likely not only excel in but enjoy consistent training and can probably learn advanced tricks like spin, roll over, or make the bed.DOG-FRIENDLY

Story
Tanner was picked up as a stray and weighs about 67 pounds. He`s a sweet and energetic dog who`s eager to please people. He`s learned a lot of good commands like sit, shake, and come and also rides really well in the car. If you`re looking for a dog to take on outdoor adventures, Tanner will go absolutely anywhere with you. He loves to run, hike, and swim and just generally getting out to do things. He may come on strong when he first gets out of his kennel, but he calms down nicely after getting out that initial burst of energy. He`s truly a staff and volunteer favorite.DOG-FRIENDLYNOT CAT-FRIENDLYKIDS 6+ (He might knock down younger children)
