Story
Elia is 6 years old this month. We moved to a small community and it proved to not be a good fit for her. She took off after another dog walking. She is territorial. It’s her breed. She is the sweetest and loves to cuddle and belly rubs. She’s just particular about what other dogs she is around. She has never been the only dog, but that might be what she needs.

Story
URGENT!!! I must rehome my beloved dog, Sheeba, as soon as possible. After the passing of my partner of 23 years, I had to sell my home with a fenced yard and I am unable to care for her. Sheeba is a cuddly, athletic, 61-pound, eight-year-old female pit bull/lab mix. She is spayed, in good health, and up to date on her shots. She is crate-trained, loves to play with other dogs, and is good with cats. She will play fetch as long as you are willing to throw a toy, and she absolutely adores being petted. I have never had a more loving companion. I live in Hendersonville, NC. Rehoming fee is $100, which will be donated to Asheville Humane Society. Please help find Sheeba a loving home.

Story
Zuko is a gentle love bug who has been through more than his fair share. After losing his home in a fire, he’s still learning that the world can be a safe place, but his resilience and big heart shine through every day. He may be a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, Zuko loves nothing more than crawling into your lap and soaking up affection. He finds a lot of comfort in being close to his people and snuggling up under blankets. Zuko has lived with other dogs, has participated in playgroups, and would do especially well in a home with a confident, friendly dog to help show him the ropes. He takes cues well from other dogs and gains confidence from their presence. Zuko is looking for a loving home that will give him time to settle in and show him that he’s safe now.

Story
Pegasee is now 13 weeks and of a litter of 10 wonderfully bred, Labs. Her line is known for calm but funLOVING temperament & highly trainable. This beauty was born breech and in process a rear leg was twisted. This cut off circulation to lower limb and similarly to frost bite, she lost her foot as it went black. Surgeons at South Asheville Vet Emergency Services ( SAVES) determined amputation of entire leg was not necessary. She does stairs, is house/ crate trained and uses a doggy door and has all veterinary vaccines, health checks up to date. I am moving after this school year and can’t have 3 dogs. I own the sire and dam. She needs a loving home. I am located in Horse Shoe NC. I am currently training basic obedience with 2 litter mates but they are getting too tough in play for her, although she hangs in there but is much smaller than they are. She will make a lovely tripod pet, especially for a home with a disabled child. Please help find the perfect placement for my “Sweets"

Story
Hello, My name is Ranger. I had a tough life in the beginning. I didn't have a dog house, i barely had shelter. I had a box truck parked in my small fenced in area that i could hide under. I shared my small lot with chickens and a few female Pyrenees. My previous owner didn’t feed us enough so i ate her chickens. So i am not good with chickens. She got mad and got rid of me. I am a AKC registered Great Pyrenees, my new mom didn’t get the papers from my previous owner though. I came to my new mom 40lbs under weight. I now weigh 120lbs, i am at a healthy weight now. I prefer to be a couch potato now, mom lets me in the backyard and i lay at the door waiting on her to let me back in. I love attention. I love strolls but know i am very slow. I am great on a leash and i love car rides. I do escape fences within minutes so i need a 6ft privacy fence. I am good with female dogs.I am very loving and loyal. My new mom has a 1 yr old and doesn’t have enough time to give me the attention i need
