We are currently relocating and are looking for a new home where he can continue to thrive, ideally alongside his lifelong companion, Benji.Sammie is:• 12 years old and 11 pounds• Happiest curled up beside you for belly rubs• An amazing traveler who sleeps easily in the car• Good on a leash and enjoys going for walks• Lived alongside another dog and cats for many years• Neutered and microchippedSammie is spry for a senior dog, he likes walks and loves laying next to you or on his own cozy space. He often walks easily around unfamiliar people or dogs but sometimes will bark and pull on the leash. He does best with a calm, confident owner. He becomes stressed by loud commotion and would thrive in a quiet home without young children. He is as loyal as they come and would love nothing more than a loving home and good food.

SOS!! Cinnamon Sugar SOS - - she was only given 1 month of foster. Meet Cinnamon Sugar, a 2–3-year-old, 50-lb sweetheart who has spent far too long simply trying to survive after someone seemingly left her behind. Everything about Cinnamon tells us she was once someone’s dog. She is incredibly well-behaved, potty trained in the yard, wonderful on a leash, perfect in the car, and knows exactly how to live alongside people. At some point, the family she trusted disappeared, leaving this incredibly sweet girl to fend for herself. Cinnamon stayed around the same neighborhood, seemingly believing it was still her home. But life there became increasingly dangerous. Feral street pack dogs bullied and chased her, neighbors no longer wanted her around, and recently a loose dog even attacked her. Somehow, through all of it, Cinnamon remained gentle, trusting, and desperate for affection. Thankfully, one kind neighbor has offered Cinnamon a safe foster home — but only for one month. We now have a small window to find this deserving girl the forever family she has been waiting for. Cinnamon is spayed, vaccinated, 4DX negative, fully vetted, and up to date on preventatives. She loves other dogs, has lived peacefully around cats, and is truly the kind of easy, loving companion who just wants to belong. Cinnamon is currently in Puerto Rico, but she can be adopted anywhere in the U.S. Like all of our Puerto Rico rescues, we will arrange her flight off the island to her adoptive family, and her transport is included in her adoption fee. Someone may have abandoned Cinnamon once, but she never stopped believing in people. Now she has one month of safety while we find the person who will finally show her that this time, she is home forever.

Louis — The Big, Playful Lovebug Meet Louis, a 1-year-old, 55-lb boy who is playful, fun, and full of personality. Louis had a scary start to life. As a puppy, he was found on the streets after being attacked by another dog. That experience understandably stuck with him, and while Louis can learn to trust other dogs, he needs time, patience, and slow introductions before he feels safe around them. He does, however, do well with cats! With people, Louis is a sweet, playful guy who loves having fun and being part of the action. He’s also potty trained and past the tiny puppy stage, making him a great companion for someone looking for a young dog without starting completely from scratch. Louis didn’t get the carefree puppyhood he deserved, but he hasn’t let that take away his love for life. He’s looking for a family who will understand his past, give him the security he needs, and let this big, goofy boy finally enjoy being someone’s beloved dog. Louis is currently in Puerto Rico and will be transported to the states for his forever home or a foster offer.

Lucy was dumped at a gas station in Puerto Rico with her puppies, left to fend for herself and her babies in terrible circumstances. She had every reason to give up, but she didn’t. Somehow, through hunger, fear, and uncertainty, this sweet mama managed to keep her puppies alive until help finally arrived. Her babies have now found their forever homes, and after giving everything she had to them, it’s finally Lucy’s turn. Lucy is estimated to be 3–4 years old, and she is an absolute sweetheart. She is playful, loving, loyal, and has a wonderful temperament. She gets along well with other dogs and has so much love left to give. Imagine what she must have been through... and yet Lucy still chooses to trust. She still wants to play. She still loves. She still believes that someone will come for her. She spent her hardest days protecting her babies. Now she needs someone to protect her. Lucy deserves a soft bed, a safe home, a family who will never abandon her, and the chance to finally experience the life she should have had all along. Meet Cici, Eumy’s tiny little sister and the smallest of all 12 siblings. At 2 months old, she weighs just 2.5 lbs — but this teeny girl has an enormous amount of love to give. Cici and her 11 siblings were found tucked into the rocks of a beach in Puerto Rico, trapped inside a little beach cave with the tide coming in. Rescuers climbed down into the rocks and pulled the babies out one by one before the water could reach them. Cici was the littlest of them all. And this girl is an absolute human lover. Cici loves, loves, LOVES people and would happily spend her entire day being carried around in someone’s arms. She is incredibly sweet, cuddly, affectionate, and just wants to be as close to her humans as physically possible. If there is an available lap, Cici plans on being in it. Based on her size now, our vet’s best guess is that Cici will stay under 25 lbs fully grown, but with rescue puppies, adult size is always a bit of a mystery! Cici is currently in Puerto Rico and is already on the docket to head stateside to a foster home — unless her forever family finds her first! Cici was almost washed away before her life had even begun. Now all this tiny girl wants is exactly what she loves most: a human to hold her close and never let her go.
