Story
Frito lives for love, a true companion that has an endless supply of cuddles and affection for you. Frito is an adventurer at heart, but his favorite pastime is lying next to you or on your lap if you’ll allow it. Bonus, his love is not exclusive to his owner; he shows the same affection to all humans. Frito is always ready for play, a run, a walk around the neighborhood otlr through the woods, or a hike, and he will fearlessly follow you on any adventure. He has big energy compressed into a pocket sized body. He’s just a silly little meatball. He is great on a leash when you’ve got his attention, and behaves himself when passing other dogs and people. Frito has great recall in the house and outside. He is crate trained and potty trained. Frito has been left behind in his past and as a result he has quite a bit of separation anxiety. He displays this anxiety by whining and crying. As he learns to trust he does quiet down, but he would not be best suited for apartment living as neighbor noises will surely m lake him think he's being ignored and they'll be able to hear him. When you get home Frito is the happiest boy, jumping and running around, he explodes with excitement. Frito will need time and dedication to completely correct his overly excited behavior. Frito would do best in a home that is committed to his training him to be the best boy he can be. Frito LOVES kids - like extra loves kids. He is good with cats but does like to try to play so an understanding cat would be ideal, or the cat having a place to have some peace. Frito is good with dogs of all sizes, though his energy could be a lot for some, so a tolerant friend, and slow introductions would be best. Are you ready for endless cuddles and entertainment? Are you a strong leader looking for a lovable, active, pocked-sized sidekick? Then Frito is just the pup for you!

Story
Mia is as sweet and loving as she looks, and she knows how to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Whether that’s a nap in the sun, a soft bed (pillow please!), or a chance to lean against a trusted human, she never seems bored with quality chill time. Mia is a lover of leisure but NOT a lazy dog. When she first came to the rescue she was excited go outside but very fearful away from the house, even in quiet neighborhoods. We are so proud of how much she has grown! Mia is now confident on her walks and is great on a leash. She practices being calm in different environments daily and is doing really well in guided sessions that help her harness her excitement. Mia’s loving spirit makes her quick to warm up to humans and an experienced attentive owner will find she is very easy to read. Mia loves children but is still learning how to control her nervous energy. She would do better in a home with older children who can understand boundaries and can participant in showing her leadership and safety. She’s very interested in other dogs but needs extra time acclimating to a new space before starting slow introductions. She would also do well as the only dog as it would allow her to get the training focus she needs. Mia’s growth has proven what an amazing dog she is and how much potential she still has to show. A forever family dedicated to helping her practice and build on her skills will be rewarded with a very loyal, intelligent, active and, of course, snuggly dog.

German Shepherd Dog Husky

Male, 6 yrs 4 mos

Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Archer is a big, joyful ball of love and fluff. Affectionate, devoted to his home, bright, and delightfully goofy, he brings warmth and personality everywhere he goes. Whether he’s curled up with his people or bounding happily through the snow in true Husky style, Archer finds joy in every moment. At six years old, Archer is a wonderful reminder that you can teach an old dog new tricks—especially one with his genetics. As a blend of two naturally smart, capable breeds, he’s more than ready to learn whatever his future family wants to teach him. With a bit of guidance and shared enthusiasm, he’ll happily pick up new skills and routines. Archer is potty trained, though he sometimes prefers to take his time deciding whether a rainy day is truly the best moment to head outside. A little encouragement is usually all he needs to brave a drizzle with grace. He gets along well with other dogs, but he would also thrive as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention from “his people.” With a sensitive tummy, he does best on a salmon-based diet—but once that’s sorted, he’s a happy, comfortable companion. All in all, Archer is a smart, loving, spirited boy with tremendous potential—ready to become an extraordinary lifelong partner for someone who appreciates his intelligence, his heart, and his unmistakable Husky charm.

Story
Hi there, I’m Charli! I’m a bright, lovable girl with a silly streak and a whole lot of heart. I’m on the lookout for my forever person — someone who appreciates a mix of fun, smarts, and snuggles. I enjoy staying active, but I’m not an all-day athlete. Give me a good game of chase in the yard or a nice walk, and I’m one happy pup. When I’m excited, my whole body wiggles — it’s kind of my signature move. I absolutely LOVE affection. If you’re handing out pets, belly rubs, or sweet words, I’m your girl. Cuddling at the end of the day is one of my favorite things, and when you tell me I’m a “good girl,” I glow with pride. I’m great with kids, though I’m a bit of an enthusiastic goof, so very small kiddos might get gently toppled in my excitement. I’d also love a dog buddy who matches my energy and size. With slow, proper introductions, I’ve done really well with my foster family’s dogs. I’m respectful with the little ones, a little too playful for the cats (I mean well!), and I especially adore playing chase with the dog who’s my size. After a good run, I’m able to settle down and focus like a champ. I do best when I have routines and structure — they help me keep all my happy energy in check so I can shine my brightest. I’m affectionate, goofy, eager to please, and full of life. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with a big heart and an even bigger wiggle, I just might be your girl.

Story
Meet Obi, a small, playful puppy who’s learning about the world. He loves playing with people and is always up for a good game with his favorite toys. Obi has a nice amount of puppy energy, but a solid round of play will do the trick. Obi enjoys playing with other dogs of all sizes, but his true passion is playing with people, especially a good round of wrestling. He can be a little shy or cautious in new situations — not because he’s scared, but because he’s still learning that the world is a safe and exciting place. He has already grown so much confidence since being in his foster home. His ideal family will be calm, patient, and encouraging, giving him time and praise as he builds the courage to take on new adventures. Obi is working on crate training, he settles in nicely at bedtime, but he is working through daytime crating while his foster is away from home. Obi made great progress with potty training, and his foster reports that he is fully potty trained now. He is looking for a family that will love to play with him and take him out to explore the world. If that sounds like yours, apply to adopt Obi today!
