Story
Looking for a best friend full of love, personality, and snuggles? Kira is a sweet, affectionate girl who feels safest and happiest indoors with her people. She thrives in a calm, stable home where she can relax, be loved, and return that love tenfold. Kira is house-trained and crate-trained—though she may try to escape a wired crate when anxious, she usually settles well when she feels secure. Despite being deaf, she’s incredibly smart and has learned hand signals for commands like “sit” and “quiet,” proving that communication is no barrier to connection. She adores kids and meeting new people and will happily ask for belly rubs, often flashing a big, happy smile in return. Kira enjoys walks, car rides, and curling up on a comfy bed—whether it’s hers or yours. Kira needs to be the only pet in the home due to a strong prey drive and prefers not to share her space with other animals. She loves attention and companionship and will thrive in a home where she’s doted on. She has a playful side, loves to shred toys, but is otherwise well-mannered. She may pull a little on the leash when excited and dislikes baths, sometimes trying to escape mid-scrub. Kira uses a high-pitched bark when anxious or seeking attention. With a few special needs, Kira’s huge heart and gentle nature make her an incredible companion. She communicates beautifully through her eyes, body language, and unwavering devotion. Kira is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative/on prevention.

Story
Kaloni was brought in with a puppy and sadly was never reclaimed. He’s a friendly, energetic guy who clearly doesn’t enjoy shelter life and is eager to get back to the comforts of a real home. While he came in with another dog, he hasn’t been officially dog tested yet. Kaloni has done well indoors and may already be potty trained. He’s still learning to walk politely on a leash but is improving with time and patience. Kaloni is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. He is heartworm negative and on prevention.

Story
Meet Maizel! 🐾 Maizel is a 6–7 year old mixed breed sweetheart who never met a stranger and loves being everyone’s friend. She was surrendered due to a family change, not her personality, and she’s been nothing but loving with people—kids included! She’s housetrained, crate trained, does well when left alone, rides nicely in the car, and knows her basic commands. While she previously did well and enjoyed playing with other dogs, shelter life has been stressful and she’s shown some dog reactivity here. Because of that, a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs is a must, and she may truly shine once back in a home environment. Her experience with cats is unknown. Maizel can be startled by loud noises and has jumped chain-link fences in the past, so a secure, sturdy fence is important if she’ll be outside. She’s also brushing up on her leash skills and making great progress. Spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on prevention—Maizel is ready to settle into a stable home where she can relax, feel safe, and be the loyal companion she was meant to be. 💛

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Howlywood Undead was brought in as a stray and was never reclaimed. He is a friendly, rambunctious boy who absolutely loves people and thrives on attention. He has a big personality and isn’t shy about using his voice, especially when left alone, so apartment living would likely not be the best fit for him. Howlywood walks fairly well on a leash but can be very excitable and does not yet walk calmly at your side. According to his finder, he was not friendly with other dogs or livestock, so a home where he can be the only animal is recommended. Howlywood Undead is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and has been dewormed. He is heartworm negative and on prevention.

Story
Coco was found as a stray and was never reclaimed. He is a sweet, affectionate dog who just needs a little time to feel comfortable in new situations. He can be skeptical of strangers at first, but he tends to warm up fairly quickly—and once he trusts you, he’s all about giving kisses and showing his loving side. Coco is still learning his leash manners and will benefit from continued training and consistency. He doesn’t seem to mind his doggy neighbors, though he has not yet been officially dog tested, so we highly recommend a meet and greet with any current household dogs. His reactions to cats and livestock are currently unknown. This boy can be quite vocal, and he’s also proven to be a bit of an escape artist—he can bust out of crates—so he’ll need a secure setup and an adopter who can help him feel safe and settled. Coco is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention. With patience, structure, and a calm home, Coco has the potential to blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion.

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Story
Pistol was surrendered after a disagreement with another dog, so he’s looking for a home where he can be the only canine companion. He’s a fun, affectionate boy who loves to play and cuddle—sometimes he just doesn’t know when to stop! Pistol does well with older children, enjoys car rides, and walks nicely on a leash. He is housebroken and ready to settle into a new home. Pistol does not do well with cats and would do best in a pet-free home where he can be the center of attention. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and on prevention.
