Story
Lucy Gray is a gentle, soft-hearted girl who came to us as a stray. While we don’t know much about her past, we’ve been getting to know her and she’s been quietly stealing our hearts ever since. At around 3 years old, Lucy Gray is calm, affectionate, and easy to love. She’s a bit reserved at first, but once she feels safe, her sweet nature shines through. She’s been picking up on basic commands and seems eager to learn more — especially when treats are involved! Lucy can be a bit selective with other dogs, so she’d likely do best as your one-and-only or with a slow, proper introduction to a compatible canine friend. She doesn’t ask for much — just a calm home, a cozy spot to relax, and someone to show her what love and consistency feel like. Lucy is not spayed - so her adoption fee would be $150 with a spay deposit of $100 - once Lucy is spayed and proof is sent to CHA - that $100 will be refunded.

This handsome 1–2 year old Pit mix is ready to find his forever home! Oakley came to us as a stray, but you’d never know it! He’s full of love, joy, and a playful spirit that lights up every room. Oakley loves to play and make new friends, both canine and human alike. He gets along well with other dogs and seems to understand when it’s time to tone things down, making him a great match for families with young kids or other playful pups. Whether he’s zooming around the yard, showing off his goofy side, or curling up for some cuddle time after a good play session, Oakley is all about love and companionship. If you’re looking for a happy, social, and well-mannered pup to join your family, Oakley might just be the perfect fit! 💙

Story
Sakka is a sweet, sensitive soul who’s looking for a calm and loving home to call his own. He came to us after his previous family faced housing issues, and while change can make him a little nervous, especially around new people or dogs, once he feels safe, his affectionate personality really shines through. Sakka did well in his previous home with a smaller, gentle female dog, but he’d likely prefer a quieter environment without a high-energy canine companion. He’s happiest when things are calm and predictable, and he’ll repay your patience with loyalty and love. Once Sakka warms up, he’s all about the good stuff—especially treats! They’re the key to his heart and a great way to build trust with this handsome boy. If you have a peaceful home and a soft spot for a shy but loving pup, Sakka just might be your perfect match.

Story
Opie came to us as a stray and, sadly, was never claimed—but he’s ready to start his next chapter with a loving family! Recently neutered and all set for adoption, Opie is eager to find his forever home. This sweet, dopey boy is very people-focused and loves being around his humans. He’s currently working on his housetraining and will likely catch on quickly once he’s in a consistent home environment. Opie can be a little shy at times and would benefit from some gentle confidence building—but his affectionate nature and big heart shine through in everything he does.

Story
Meet Farkle! Farkle is a 5-year-old neutered male who’s had quite the journey. He originally came to CHA as a Texas transfer a few years ago, was adopted, and later surrendered due to a personal matter in his owner’s life. He was adopted again and did wonderfully for about two years. Recently, Farkle began showing some protectiveness toward his family, so he’s now looking for a new home that understands his needs. He would do best in a quieter household with slower traffic and a family willing to work with him to help him thrive. To meet this dog in person, please submit an application at chippewahumane.com. Once your application is approved, a staff member will be in contact to schedule an appointment. You can also call the shelter at 715-861-5748 with any questions.

Story
Taz is a 6-year-old Pomeranian with a big personality and a heart full of love! This energetic little guy came to us after his previous owner could no longer care for him due to health reasons. While it’s clear he was deeply loved, Taz is now looking for his next forever home. Taz previously lived with another dog, but we did notice a few jealousy issues between them—so we believe Taz would thrive best as the only dog in the household. He’s happiest when he has his people all to himself! He’s a bright, bouncy, and happy boy who loves attention and playtime. Despite his small size, Taz has a big presence and plenty of energy to keep you entertained. He would do well in a home with children, as long as they understand and respect his boundaries. If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who will shower you with affection and make you smile every day, Taz might be your perfect match! To meet this dog in person please submit an application, which can be found on our website chippewahumane.com. Once your application is approved a staff member will be in contact to schedule an appointment. Please call the shelter at 715 861 5748 with any questions.
