Story
Mabel came to us as a stray and was never claimed, but she’s ready to start her next chapter with a family of her own. Mabel is a calm, independent girl who enjoys doing her own thing but still appreciates time with her people. She already knows “sit” and “down,” and our staff has been working with her on leash skills—she’s making great progress! Mabel has shown interest in other dogs, though she hasn’t participated in playgroups just yet. As with any new dog, we recommend proper introductions to set everyone up for success. If you’re looking for a more easygoing companion with a quiet, confident personality, Mabel might be the perfect fit for you!

Story
Forest is a young, energetic dog who loves meeting new people! He came to us as an unclaimed stray, so we don’t have much background on his past. What we do know is that Forest keeps his kennel clean and has shown interest in other dogs. Forest can be a bit jumpy when he gets excited, so he would benefit from a home that’s willing to work with him on basic manners and help him learn appropriate ways to channel his energy. He’s a fun, social dog who just needs a little guidance and consistency. If you’re looking for a friendly, active companion and are ready to help him continue learning, Forest might be a great fit for you! Forest's adoption fee is: $150 with a $100 neuter deposit

Story
Meet Derek! Derek is a happy-go-lucky young pup who is ready to spend the rest of his puppyhood with a family of his very own! This friendly little guy gets along well with the other dogs in our care and brings plenty of enthusiasm wherever he goes. Derek is highly food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. When his puppy friends aren't distracting him, he's eager to learn new tricks and show off how smart he is. Derek is very people-oriented and loves spending time with his human companions. Whether it's playtime, training sessions, or simply hanging out together, Derek is happiest when he's with his people. Derek is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready to find his forever home.

Sawyer

Schnauzer (Miniature)

Male, 5 yrs 4 mos
Chippewa Falls, WI
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Sawyer! Sawyer came to us due to changes in his previous family's circumstances and is now looking for a home that understands and appreciates him for who he is. This handsome little guy is sweet and affectionate once he gets to know you, but he likes things on his own terms. Sawyer is selective about his canine companions and would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home. He also prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and does not enjoy being picked up. Sawyer is crate trained, but he can become protective of his space. Because of this, he may do better with a gated area or small room while his family is away rather than a traditional kennel setup. Sawyer is looking for a calm, predictable home with older children who can respect his boundaries and understand that he doesn't want hands reaching into his resting space. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion who just wants a family that understands him.

Story
Meet Beefcake! This big lug was a transfer from TCHS. Beefcake was originally a stray and after some time with TCHS, they figured a change of scenery would be best for him. Beefcake is a whopping 122 lbs! He's a very easy going dog, however due to his size, a home that has experience with larger breeds would be best. Beefcake is also very food motivated, and will do anything for a snack.

Story
Meet Alder! Alder is ready to find his forever home! This playful pup has already started winning over the hearts of our staff with his fun-loving personality and adorable antics. Alder loves spending time in the yard with the other puppies, where he can run, play, and burn off some of his puppy energy. Whether he's chasing his friends, exploring his surroundings, or finding new ways to entertain everyone around him, Alder always seems to bring a smile to people's faces. Like any young puppy, Alder is looking for a family that can help him continue learning and growing while giving him plenty of love, playtime, and adventure. Adoption Fee: $250 plus a $100 neuter deposit. The neuter deposit is fully refunded once Chippewa Humane Association receives proof that Alder has been neutered.
