Clay is a handsome hound with a nose for adventure and a soft spot for attention! This sweet boy spent about a week wandering around Stanley before a kind Good Samaritan was finally able to catch him and get him to safety. ❤️ 🐕 Breed: Hound Mix 🐾 Background: Found as a stray in Stanley ⚡ Energy Level: Classic hound energy! 💕 Personality: Friendly, energetic & affectionate 🦴 Favorite Motivation: TREATS! 🎓 Training: Currently learning his basic commands 🧠 Learning Style: Willing student, especially when snacks are involved 🤗 Favorite Activity: Spending time with people! If you know hounds, you know they're usually pretty good at following their noses wherever adventure takes them. And considering Clay spent an entire week exploring Stanley, we'd say he's already got some experience in that department! 😂 But don't let that classic hound energy fool you! Clay also knows how to settle down, especially when he realizes there are people nearby willing to give him some love and attention. Clay is currently working with our staff on learning his basic commands, and he's proving to be a pretty enthusiastic student. He's very treat motivated and willing to learn, which makes training sessions both productive and fun! Like many hounds, Clay will benefit from a family willing to provide regular exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. Giving him appropriate opportunities to put that nose to work will help keep both his body and brain busy.

Personality-wise, Sara falls somewhere right in the middle — active and energetic, but not quite as bouncing-off-the-walls as her sister Sasha! 😂 🐶 Breed: Border Collie/Aussie mix 🎾 Energy Level: High 🧠 Personality: Smart, playful & curious 🎓 Training: Eager to learn and responds well to direction 🏃‍♀️ Exercise: Will need plenty of physical activity 🧩 Enrichment: Mental stimulation is a must! 🏡 Ideal Home: Active, structured & ready for puppy shenanigans Sara loves to play, explore and be involved in whatever is happening around her. She has plenty of energy to keep her future family busy, but she has a little more of an “off switch” than her sister Sasha. Like any Border Collie/Aussie pup, Sara has brains AND energy, so she’ll need a family prepared to put both to good use! Consistent training, exercise, structure and plenty of mental enrichment will help her grow into an awesome adult dog. This goofy guy is still figuring out how this whole “being a good house dog” thing works, and he’s looking for a family willing to teach him. ❤️ 🐶 Age: Young 🤪 Personality: Goofy, happy & enthusiastic ⚡ Energy Level: High 🎓 Training: Knows that sitting nicely = treats! 🏠 House Training: Still a work in progress 🗑️ House Manners: Still learning that the garbage is NOT a snack bar 😂 🌱 Needs: Consistency, structure & positive reinforcement 🏡 Ideal Home: Active and ready to continue his training 💵 Adoption Fee: $150 + $100 neuter deposit Moose is full of excitement and can be a little jumpy when meeting new people, but he’s also eager to learn! He has already figured out that sitting politely earns him a tasty treat, and with consistent training and positive reinforcement, we think he has tons of potential. Moose was recently adopted and returned after his family found that he was getting into the garbage and wasn’t catching on to house training as quickly as they had hoped. Moose is still young, and as far as we know, he hasn’t had the benefit of consistent training in his life yet. His next family should be prepared to start with the basics , house training, boundaries, routines, and helping him understand what’s expected of him in a home. He’s not a finished product yet, but that’s part of adopting a young dog! Moose needs someone willing to put in the time now so he can grow into the awesome companion we know he can be. 🏡 If you’re looking for a happy, lovable, long-legged goofball and don’t mind doing a little teaching along the way, Moose might be your guy!

He’s ready to put that chapter behind him and find his forever this time around! 💙 🎂 Age: About 2½ years old ⚖️ Weight: 57 lbs ✂️ Neutered: Yes 💗 Personality: Friendly, social & affectionate 🐕 Dogs: Does well with other dogs 👧 Kids: Has done well with kids 🏠 House-Trained: Yes 🚗 Car Rides: Excellent passenger! 🐾 Activity Level: Moderately active 🏡 Home Life: Previously lived in a home Tank is one of those dogs who seems to make friends wherever he goes. He loves people, enjoys spending time with other dogs, and is always happy to head out for a walk or adventure. He’s also an excellent passenger in the car, so he’d be more than happy to tag along for the ride! After being returned to the rescue he was originally adopted from, Tank spent time at Houndstown The Woodlands, where he enjoyed daycare and made plenty of canine friends.
