Story
Moby is a lovable and energetic boy who would thrive in an active home. His story is as heartwarming as it is inspiring. He was dumped at a post office along with his littermates, but his resilient spirit has never wavered. If you are looking for a loyal, fun loving companion who is always up for an adventure, Moby is ready to meet you!He has a playful side that shines when he gets to chew on his favorite toys, especially bones. He also loves to play fetch with a tennis ball! He is eager to find a forever home that can keep up with his playful energy and shower him with the love and attention he deserves.Like many rescues, he still has a few things he is working on. He can be a little nervous around men, but with patience and understanding, he continues to improve. He does best with supervision during playtime with other dogs and may be happiest as the only dog in the home. He will also need a cat and child free environment. He graduated from a month long prison program training on 4/3! He got an A+ report and learned so much from his time there. The prison offers life long training recaps after adoption which is a great way to keep up with training. He is at the shelter in Fort Lupton. If you are interested in meeting him, please submit an adoption application on our website and head to the shelter to meet this sweet boy! Please email adopt@souldog.org with any questions!

Story
Spotakus (Spot) for short is a sweet, gentle, and friendly Livestock Gaurdian. He is about 2 years old and has been exposed to livestocksince birth. He's naturally shy with new people but has never shown an ounce of aggression; he's never even growled. He is the most gentle giant. True to his guardian instincts, he keeps predators away and thrives in a working environment with livestock. He has worked with sheep, a small group of cows, goats, and poultry. Spot needs a property where he can do the job he was born for and a person who will give him time, patience, and consistency. His parents are purebred, and he’s healthy, well-mannered with a ton of potential.

Story
She is a sweet, playful, cuddly dog who gets scared easily and prefers to stay close to her people. She is fully crate trained—her crate is her “bedroom.” She goes in with the command “bedroom” and waits for “release” before coming out. She sleeps in her crate at night and stays there when we’re gone. She’s great with kids and friendly with other animals. She wants to play with cats but doesn’t always know how, so she needs supervision. She sometimes tries to herd our kids, which is natural for her breed. She may nip when excited, and we are working on that. She knows “wait” for her food and won’t eat until we say “eat it.” She is still learning manners around doors (may try to run out) and people food (needs reminders to lie down during meals). She is very loving, goofy, and thrives on being close to her family.

Story
Chanchy originally was with a single mom with 3 boys in a small apartment. They weren't able to keep him because of his size. He is massive, definitely 100 lb or more. He was given to a friend that is unable to keep him as well. Chanchy is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever come across. He is so gentle and loves to cuddle. He needs a lot of love and a good grooming. I would take him because I am absolutely in love with him, but my apartments only allow service animals. He has lived in a home with 2 other very small dogs, and 2 cats. He gets along with them very well. My son brought his good size husky/malamute around, and they got along great. So he gets along with all animals that I've seen. I could talk about him forever. He's great for families and little kids. He will put his huge paws on you when you stop petting him, and he's got some big claws. So be mindful of that. But any questions, feel free to ask.

We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Missy #8 and Lady #8 | Bonded Pair, 2-year-old Great Pyranees Mixes | Certified Full-Contact Cuddlers Looking for twice the love, twice the snuggles, and twice the joy? Lady and Missy are an incredibly loving bonded pair who are ready to spend the rest of their lives together in a forever home. They share a remarkable story—rescued in rural North Carolina along with their mother, Miss Ma’am, after being abandoned in the woods for weeks. Their bond is deep and unwavering, and they must be adopted together, as Lady provides Missy with confidence and comfort. Both girls are sweet, affectionate, and famously devoted to their people. “Personal space” is simply not part of their vocabulary—if given the choice, they would happily spend the entire day snuggled up together or on top of their humans, soaking up hugs and kisses. Missy is a gentle, sweet-natured girl with a soulful expression that makes you fall in love instantly. At around 35 pounds, she’s a perfect medium-sized companion who is happiest curled up on the couch, pressed close to her people or snuggled beside her sister, Lady. Missy is also “aggressively friendly,” showing her love through constant cuddles, hugs, and kisses, and she thrives on human connection. Missy is mostly house trained and continues to improve every day. While she doesn’t yet have a clear signal to ask to go outside, consistency has helped her make great progress. She walks reasonably well on leash, settling into an easy pace after a short burst of excitement at the start. Missy does great being left home alone and has proven herself to be a perfect angel both crated and uncrated, settling quickly and relaxing until her people return. Missy gets along beautifully with other dogs and prefers to stay close to Lady. She also does well with cats and mostly ignores them. While she hasn’t met children yet, she is a calm, gentle soul who loves everyone she meets and would likely do very well in a home with kids. She has a low-to-medium energy level and would be content with one or two casual walks a day, though her true passion is lounging on the couch or a cozy dog bed. Motivated by food and affection, Missy is easygoing, adaptable, and eager to please as she continues learning. Lady is a happy, affectionate girl with a big heart and an even bigger love for her people. At about 45 pounds, she’s a wonderful medium-sized companion who truly believes closeness is best. If given the chance, Lady would rather be draped across her human than doing anything else, resting not just her head but her entire body on you while she soaks up affection. She is sweet, playful, and lovingly described as “aggressively friendly,” greeting everyone she meets with joy, hugs, and kisses. Lady is almost fully house trained and continues to improve daily with consistency and routine. She does great being left home alone and has proven herself to be a perfect angel. While she was initially crated and needed a bit of encouragement to settle, she now relaxes comfortably without a crate. On leash, Lady enjoys walks and settles into a nice rhythm after a few enthusiastic minutes at the start. She may bark back at dogs who bark at her, but overall walks are pleasant. Her energy level is best described as a couch potato with occasional bursts of play—she enjoys running around the yard with other dogs and would do well with one or two walks a day before settling in to relax. Lady does well with dogs of all sizes and enjoys playtime, though she appreciates her space being respected. She has learned to coexist peacefully with cats and absolutely adores people of all ages. She loves toys, chewing on a good bone, treats of any kind, and handles car rides just fine. Lady’s ideal home includes a yard and adopters who truly enjoy a cuddly, affectionate dog who wants to be close—very close. Lady and Missy’s story is one of resilience, love, and family. They have never known life apart and are deeply devoted to one another. Now, they are ready to continue their journey together in a forever home that will cherish them just as much as they cherish each other—and the humans lucky enough to love them.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for Missy and Lady as a bonded pair is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
