Story
Hi, my name is Snow White, I weigh around 45 pounds and I am around 1 year and a half old!I am a playful when I want to be, I love other dogs and I really like jumping all over them.I can be picky about treats. I take them when I want them but if I`m not feeling it then I`ll just ignore them or use them as a toyI would be best in a home with no cats. Those things freak me out!I am very playful and do need to learn some manners and not play as much with my mouthI would be best in a home with kids over 16 (that is a must) as i don`t like it too terribly much when I`m being restrained. Of course I would benefit from training so that I can become the best canine citizen possible.I do have some resource guarding issues with food I really like An owner that has experience with my breed is really preferred, after all us Husky`s can be quite the handful for new dog owners. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. To help speed up the application process, it is recommended that you complete the online application form found at the link below.https://animalcontrol.macombgov.org/AnimalControl-AdoptionApplicationMy adoption fee is sponsored!

Story
We adopted angel in 2021 for the most part. She is a very good dog, but with a husky breed, we knew what we were adopting, but with our families busy lifestyle it’s become very difficult to give her attention and energy and exercise that she deserves. Just acquired a job that takes me downtown away from family a few times and with little babies it’s very hard to take care of Angel as well. She needs a family that’s willing to give her the time and energy that husky very much needs. Separation anxiety is very clingy, but overall she’s very good dog and will make a very good companion for somebody.

Story
Hello We have a 9yo male husky named Lupin who needs to be rehomed. My wife and I have tried very hard to get him acclimated to our son since he was born 2 years ago, but after recent events and a huge scare we unfortunately have to rehome him. He is fully vaccinated and fixed. Great with adults, but does not do well with small children or other pets (he is fine around older children). He would do fantastic in a home where he is the only animal. We are asking for a small fee rehoming fee of $50 so he doesn’t end up in the wrong hands.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application!
