We need help with socialization and housebreaking and should not be left alone for too long, as this could cause social and dysfunctional problems later on. Ebony and Ivory are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together.Ebony (14 lbs.) and Ivory (8 lbs.) were local strays. They were in terrible shape when found and horribly matted.Now that these sweet girls are safe with AHF, they`re looking and feeling so much better. Ivory loves to cuddle, and Ebony is more playful but loves cuddling too. They`re both very loving. We think Ivory is a maltese mix and Ebony may be a schnauzer/shih tzu mix.Both girls walk on leash. They do not get crated when their foster leaves the house and do fine confined to a large room. They get along with the other dogs in their foster home and have been friendly with kids they`ve met at adoption events. Bear! This little guy is a 2 year old, 17 pound Shih Tzu mix! Bear is good with other dogs and he is getting used to meeting new people and experiencing new things in his foster home. He's working on training and doing well with his crate and potty training! He's also getting used to wearing a harness so he can start leash training. He likes to spend time with his canine foster brother, cuddling up or running and playing outside. He has also started to play with his squeaky toys! Since living in a home is new to Bear, he is looking for a patient adopter who will patiently draw him out of his shell, and work on training at his pace and comfort level. He hopes to find a loving home and would love to have a well-adjusted resident dog pup to continue showing him the way. He has the cutest little face with the most expressive eyes! Bubbles and her sister and brother, Buttercup and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 9 pounds and is probably full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Although and three pups are extremely sweet, Bubbles is a most friendly and a super snuggler! She plays great with her brother and sister and we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them. She would do well with older children and we have not had her around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction.
