Chucky was given to ARF when his family’s life changed. Chucky has been such a sweet dog in his foster home. He loves kids! They have dressed him up and held him all day. He would love to sleep with his new kid. Chucky gets nervous around the dogs in foster. He would do best as an only dog.  He doesn't care about cats. He has the softest hair. He had to be shaved when he came to ARF. It will grow out and be beautiful. He loves to be brushed. This girl is a cutie!  Gianna is 90% housebroken.   She’s still working on house breaking but that’s probably due to not wanting to miss a single minute of the goings on inside.  She’s very playful and energetic and would probably love a 4 legged doggy friend to run and play with.  This pup is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed. BONDED PAIR, MUST ADOPT BOTH Hi. I'm Bitzee, a 9 y/o golden/white female shitsu. I'm part of a bonded pair with my 13 y/o chi mix Judah Chase. You see, our owner had to go into hospice care and it broke her heart to give us up. She made the rescue lady promise to adopt us together as we have always lived in the same household and don't know any different. My brother and I get along very well and it is kind of like getting 2 for the price of 1. I am currently about 4 pounds overweight ( currently 14 pounds) but foster Mom is diligently working on that with me. Despite being overweight, I am playful and like to go for walks. I had previously lived in an apartment and hadn't been able to get much exercise because of my owner's health. I had been going potty on potty pads but am now learning to go outside through the doggy door. My brother has already mastered the doggy door and I should soon. I like to go for car rides and am kennel trained. I am able to be kept unkenneled without being destructive and am not a huge barker. I am extremely loyal and like to follow my human around. I am good with children and other small dogs. It is unknown as to how I would do with large dogs or cats since foster mom doesn't have either. So, if you are interested in a bonded pair of small dogs, have your peeps contact my peeps and let's get this love fest started. Jeffrey needs a patient human companion as he is a special needs dog with three good legs and one that he struggles with. It would be best if he is in a single level home with no stairs or children; other dogs are ok. He is completely house broken, loves people and being the center of attention and will bring loads of joy into your home. Jeffrey does great on short and slow walks. In the grass he is a little more comfortable and confident with his leg.You do not need a crate for Jeffrey as he does well when left alone. He is totally flexible where he sleeps and he will sleep in-which can be a bonus if you're not an early morning person. Introducing BOGIE, a Bichon Frise & Shih Tzu cross breed who is just over a year old, weighing approximately 12 pounds. Bogie is a very sweet boy that was rescued from a puppy-mill breeder when he was “too old” to sell. While in foster care these past few months, Bogie has learned what love and kindness is and now seeks it out from his foster mom. Bogie does not have a mean bone in his body and really craves a gentle touch/pet because he finally feels safe. Bogie now follows his foster mom around, especially when outside in the yard, and feels safe enough to come when called. He has even started playing and having fun, doing the “zoomies” in the yard, and truly looking so happy. This past month Bogie has decided it's pretty comfy to lay on his foster mom’s stomach while she watches T.V.. His recovery from his horrible first year of life has been remarkable and we are so happy for him. Because Bogie can be skittish, he requires a calm household, securely fenced yard and another friendly dog in the home who will continue to mentor Bogie’s rehabilitation. He is approved for adult households. Bogie enjoys the companionship of other dogs but more importantly he gets his confidence from them, learning more typical dog behavior. Bogie has good home manners and is housebroken. He is such a great little dog whose future is so bright! This dog has been examined by a licensed veterinarian, provided vaccines, been dewormed, tested for diseases, neutered, and microchipped. She is very good with other dogs, but she's still shy meeting new people. She will need a patient, calm forever home where she can work through her nerves! Her foster family has started working with her on training, and so far, she sleeps well in her crate and is doing well with potty training.
