After a difficult past, he’s still choosing love—and he’s hoping to find someone who will choose him right back. Fully housetrained and wonderfully well-mannered, Larry will gently come find you and give you that knowing look when he needs something. He doesn’t require a crate and does beautifully when left alone, especially when he feels safe and secure in his environment.This charming little companion is happiest right by your side. He’ll follow you from room to room, checking in often, and happily settling nearby for a nap. Larry adores the outdoors—whether it’s lounging by the door, relaxing on a deck, or enjoying a few short, leisurely walks each day. Though his hearing isn’t the best, he stays closely attuned to his person, taking cues from your presence and routine. He gets along well with other dogs and shows a gentle curiosity toward them, and he’s proven to be a polite, easygoing house guest.Larry can be a bit sensitive—both physically and emotionally—so he’s looking for a calm, adult home where he can continue to build trust at his own pace. He may be shy at first, especially around taller men or in new situations, but with patience and kindness, his affectionate, cuddly nature blossoms. He doesn’t enjoy being picked up, but once he’s comfortable, he absolutely loves being close and soaking up gentle attention. Sweet, loyal, and deeply devoted, Larry is the kind of companion who will quietly steal your heart and stay there.We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Ebony and Ivory are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together.Ebony (14 lbs.) and Ivory (8 lbs.) were local strays. They were in terrible shape when found and horribly matted.Now that these sweet girls are safe with AHF, they`re looking and feeling so much better. Ivory loves to cuddle, and Ebony is more playful but loves cuddling too. They`re both very loving. We think Ivory is a maltese mix and Ebony may be a schnauzer/shih tzu mix.Both girls walk on leash. They do not get crated when their foster leaves the house and do fine confined to a large room. They get along with the other dogs in their foster home and have been friendly with kids they`ve met at adoption events. Born around October 1, 2020, he came to us as a stray and has quickly won over everyone with his gentle nature and love for attention. Benny thrives on human interaction and enjoys being around people, always happy to soak up pets and affection. He also does well with other dogs, making him a great addition to a home with existing pets or as a social companion. Bubbles and her sister Buttercup were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd last year so they are now a year old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs about 9 pounds and is full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Bubbles is a very friendly and a super snuggler! She and Buttercup are very bonded and we would very much like to get them a home together. They are so funny together! They play and run zoomies around the house. They would do well with older children and we have not had them around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction.
