With her quiet nature and calm energy, she’s the perfect little shadow who just wants to be near her people.CJ loves snuggling and belly rubs. Her favorite time of day is her goodnight kisses, after which she feels most comfortable sleeping at the foot of her person`s bed. Although she is still learning the ropes of house training, she is improving every day. She most likely was never taught, so she just needs someone patient to cheer her on! Toys were a totally new concept to her at first, but now she has favorites and plays with adorable enthusiasm. She rarely barks, but when she spots a squirrel or decides it’s bedtime, she lets out the cutest little reminders!CJ strolls beautifully on a leash (will pull when she sees a squirrel friend) and naps peacefully when left alone, no crate needed. Car rides make her a bit shaky, likely from her past, but with love and reassurance she’ll gain more confidence. Ebony and Ivory are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together.Ebony (14 lbs.) and Ivory (8 lbs.) were local strays. They were in terrible shape when found and horribly matted.Now that these sweet girls are safe with AHF, they`re looking and feeling so much better. Ivory loves to cuddle, and Ebony is more playful but loves cuddling too. They`re both very loving. We think Ivory is a maltese mix and Ebony may be a schnauzer/shih tzu mix.Both girls walk on leash. They do not get crated when their foster leaves the house and do fine confined to a large room. They get along with the other dogs in their foster home and have been friendly with kids they`ve met at adoption events. Hi, I’m Scruffy the little dog with a big attitude and an even bigger comeback story. Before rescue, I was a local stray fending for myself, and honestly? It shows. My fur was one giant matted disaster, and I had to be completely shaved down just to start over. Physically, I felt better right away. Emotionally? …Yeah, not so much. That messy coat was basically my armor, and suddenly I felt way too exposed for my liking.So yes, I can be a little… particular. I don’t love being touched by people I don’t know, and I’m not the type to pretend I like you right away just to be polite. I need time, space, and someone who doesn’t take it personally when I act like a tiny grumpy old man trapped in a cute dog body. ??BUT once I decide you’re cool? I trot around with my proud little prance, I’m great on walks, I’m crate trained, potty trained, and I coexist just fine with other dogs who respect that I am, in fact, the main character.I’m not here for chaotic homes or tiny humans who want to squeeze me. Bonsai has the cutest little face, don't you think?! He has the most expressive eyes and those toofers are just too much! Bonsai is a 4 year old Shih Tzu mix and he weighs about 16 pounds. He warms up well to other dogs and has started playing with a ball or squeaky toys, too! He is nervous around new people, but he is getting braver every day! Everything is new to Bonsai, but he's getting used to wearing his harness and going to the bathroom outside. He likes to spend time in his crate since it's his safe space! He seems to take comfort in the company of another dog, so we think he will transition best into a home where he has a little dog buddy to show him around. He follows his foster mom around, taking in the routine. Between his curiosity and his food motivation, we're sure he'll adapt and become the best little companion!
