Ebony and Ivory are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together.Ebony (14 lbs.) and Ivory (8 lbs.) were local strays. They were in terrible shape when found and horribly matted.Now that these sweet girls are safe with AHF, they`re looking and feeling so much better. Ivory loves to cuddle, and Ebony is more playful but loves cuddling too. They`re both very loving. We think Ivory is a maltese mix and Ebony may be a schnauzer/shih tzu mix.Both girls walk on leash. They do not get crated when their foster leaves the house and do fine confined to a large room. They get along with the other dogs in their foster home and have been friendly with kids they`ve met at adoption events. Hi, I’m Scruffy the little dog with a big attitude and an even bigger comeback story. Before rescue, I was a local stray fending for myself, and honestly? It shows. My fur was one giant matted disaster, and I had to be completely shaved down just to start over. Physically, I felt better right away. Emotionally? …Yeah, not so much. That messy coat was basically my armor, and suddenly I felt way too exposed for my liking.So yes, I can be a little… particular. I don’t love being touched by people I don’t know, and I’m not the type to pretend I like you right away just to be polite. I need time, space, and someone who doesn’t take it personally when I act like a tiny grumpy old man trapped in a cute dog body. ??BUT once I decide you’re cool? I trot around with my proud little prance, I’m great on walks, I’m crate trained, potty trained, and I coexist just fine with other dogs who respect that I am, in fact, the main character.I’m not here for chaotic homes or tiny humans who want to squeeze me. I need an adult or older-kid household that appreciates a dog with boundaries, confidence, and a little bit of spice. If you’re looking for a super clingy lap dog, that’s not me. If you want a loyal companion with personality, charm, and just the right amount of attitude? He was found running loose in a subdivision, charming everyone he met. Much like his fellow canine adventurers, he was rescued multiple times, but his determination to roam led him to cleverly dig his way out of every yard he was placed in. He is eager to trade his escaping days for a secure yard and a forever family who can give him the attention and secure environment he craves. Pickles is a true social butterfly who thrives on human interaction and affection. He promises to be a delightful addition to any family. He was born around 12/03/2024 and weighs 14.9 pounds.  During his vet visit, it was noted that he has a Grade 1 heart murmur, which is the mildest form of the condition and is easily manageable. This little diagnosis hasn't slowed him down one bit! If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate companion who is full of life and personality, Pickles is your perfect match. Cassie June—CJ for short—is a sweet, gentle 4-year-old cuddlebug who’s ready to steal your heart! With her quiet nature and calm energy, she’s the perfect little shadow who just wants to be near her people.CJ loves snuggling and belly rubs. Her favorite time of day is her goodnight kisses, after which she feels most comfortable sleeping at the foot of her person`s bed. Although she is still learning the ropes of house training, she is improving every day. She most likely was never taught, so she just needs someone patient to cheer her on! Toys were a totally new concept to her at first, but now she has favorites and plays with adorable enthusiasm. She rarely barks, but when she spots a squirrel or decides it’s bedtime, she lets out the cutest little reminders!CJ strolls beautifully on a leash (will pull when she sees a squirrel friend) and naps peacefully when left alone, no crate needed. Car rides make her a bit shaky, likely from her past, but with love and reassurance she’ll gain more confidence. Bubbles and her sister and brother, Buttercup and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 9 pounds and is probably full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Although and three pups are extremely sweet, Bubbles is a most friendly and a super snuggler! She plays great with her brother and sister and we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them. She would do well with older children and we have not had her around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction.
