Hi, I'm Lindy and I am so glad you are taking a look at me. I am currently in a foster home waiting to meet my forever family. I am a very sweet, loving girl who loves spending time with her humans! I can be a little shy at first. I am sensitive to touch so grooming/vet appointments can be a little stressful for me and I need time to warm up to new faces before I feel comfortable with petting. I am not the biggest fan of other animals and would love to be the only child of the household! An adult-only home without any other animals would be my dream home. Once you have gained my trust I will be your best friend - I love going for walks, car rides, and even to the store! If we sound like a good fit for each other, please contact the North Aurora location to set up an appointment to meet with me! Welcome to the good life, Anne Wilson! This darling lady is a 5 year old, 10 pound Shih Tzu/Poodle mix who is adjusting to her new world! Since Anne came to us as a breeder release, she is experiencing many things for the first time and is understandably nervous! Her foster family is helping her get comfortable around other dogs and new people. We think she'd probably be fine with cats and older, respectful children. She is quickly learning that pets and cuddles from human friends are the best! She's getting more comfy with the idea of being held and has even started to jump into her foster mom's arms! Anne is working on crate training, potty training, and walking on a leash. Her forever family will need to be patient as she continues learning! She likes to sniff and explore around the yard, so we think she'll be a good walking buddy down the road when she's feeling more confident and trusting! Anne also discovered that freeze dried chicken is pretty tasty, which will be helpful in her further training :) Anne is making great progress in her foster home and we can't wait for her to have a chance to blossom in her forever home! This cute lady loves other dogs and tends to look to the resident dog in her foster home for guidance and reassurance. We think she would love to find a home with another small dog to keep her company since she loves to cuddle up to a dog friend! Kelsea's foster family is working on helping her feel safe and comfortable in a home environment while also introducing things like potty training and leash walking. She loves her crate and treats it like her safe space! Since she's still learning to trust human friends, Kelsea will need a patient adopter and will do best in a quieter home environment.
