Meet Oreo, a delightful Maltese/Shih Tzu mix weighing in at a petite 11 pounds. Oreo's journey to a brighter future began in the most dire of circumstances. Found in a state of neglect, she was tragically matted with impacted fur, feces, and urine, having never received proper veterinary care in her life. Despite her hardships, Oreo was carrying precious new life within her, as she was discovered pregnant.
Thankfully, Home for Good Dog Rescue opened their hearts and doors to Oreo, providing her with the love, care, and medical attention she so desperately needed. On Easter Sunday, Oreo welcomed four beautiful boys into the world, each a testament to her resilience and unwavering spirit. Now, as her little ones prepare for their own journey to forever homes, Oreo eagerly awaits her turn to find a loving family to call her own.
At approximately 3 years old, Oreo embodies everything one could hope for in a companion. She gets along with other dogs and would thrive in a home with cats and children alike. With her affectionate nature, she's the epitome of a lap dog, always seeking closeness and comfort from her human companions. She is working on her housebreaking skills. Whether it's a ride in the car or joining in on the action, Oreo is always ready for adventure.
This amazing, perfect girl walks well on a leash and brings joy wherever she goes. With her gentle disposition and loving heart, Oreo is more than ready to shower her forever family with endless love and devotion. Oreo is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and microchipped.
Oreo's adoption fee is $1,000.
Oreo has not yet been spayed. On a predetermined date within 6 months, the dog will be spayed at the expense of HFGDR. An additional check in the amount of $300 will be collected at the time of adoption and returned to the adopter once the dog has been altered.

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
