Rescued from an overcrowded shelter, this Cattle Dog/Heeler mix wasted no time settling into his foster home with curiosity, confidence, and a knack for cracking everyone up.   Billy wakes up early (true to his herding dog roots!) and gets his day started with a potty break and playtime before breakfast. After some zoomies and backyard exploring, he enjoys napping in his crate or one of his many favorite nap spots throughout the house. He spends his days playing with toys, romping with his Boston Terrier foster sisters, and following his people around like a fuzzy little shadow.   Billy is a Velcro pup through and through—if you leave the room, he’ll whine softly and wait loyally at the gate. He isn’t a huge cuddler, but he does like a little contact, like resting his paw or side on your foot. He runs hot, so you’ll often find him sprawled on the cool floor instead of snuggled in a bed.   This guy is full of puppy energy and playful antics. He’ll happily chase toys, chew on sturdy branches, and entertain himself (and you!) with clumsy leaps, bounces, and the occasional dramatic somersault. He’s currently teething, so supervision and lots of appropriate chew toys are key.   Billy is already learning “sit” and responds well to gentle redirection— especially if there’s a treat involved! He’s house-trained, doggy-door savvy, crate-friendly, and impressively calm for his age. He rarely barks and settles quickly after short protest whines.   He gets along well with dogs his size and would love a canine sibling who enjoys playing. He’s met kids and did great (no licky face bombs!), but hasn’t been tested with cats.   Billy’s dream home? Humans who appreciate a brainy pup with a silly streak and who will continue guiding him with love, patience, and treats. Bonus points if you think tripping over your own paws is adorable— because Billy does it often.   Ready for a little genius who will make you laugh every day and love you forever? Billy is ready for you.July 14, 2025, 7:16 pm

This adorable ACD mix was rescued from a shelter with her brother and has been settling into foster life like a champ. When she first arrived, she was shy and unsure, sticking close to her crate and cautiously watching the world go by. But over time, Kit has blossomed into a playful, affectionate pup who’s learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all.   Kit’s daily routine is structured to help her feel secure. She wakes up around 7am, heads out for a potty break, and has some playful zoomies with her foster sibling before breakfast. She spends time in her crate while her foster mom works from home, and then enjoys play breaks, meals, and enrichment throughout the day. She’s still a bit nervous about new things, but now she’ll sniff around and investigate —and that’s a huge win.   Kit loves playing with her small foster dog buddy—wrestling, chasing, toy-sharing, and even napping together. While she’s not much of a cuddler, Kit loves kisses and affection and will happily give you a smooch or two. She isn’t clingy, but she does like to know where her people are. She’s curious, observant, and extremely responsive to her environment— making her a great candidate for continued training.   Kit learned the potty routine within 48 hours of arriving in her current foster home and is now completely potty trained. She is one smart cookie!  Kit is a active puppy who needs both physical and mental stimulation. She just started going on walks and is really enjoying being out and about. She’s a strong chewer, so hard toys are a must, and she enjoys keeping herself busy with toys (or socks—her favorite treasure to “bury” in secret spots around the house).   When it comes to cats, Kit is curious and interested, but not aggressive. She may be an option for a home with a dog-savvy cat that doesn't mind interacting.   The ideal home for Kit An active adopter with a training plan and a heart full of patience. She’d love a dog sibling to play with and learn from, and she needs someone committed to helping her learn and grow. Kit is a bright, intuitive pup who is eager to learn and connect with her humans.   If you're looking for a loyal companion who will grow alongside you—and maybe even bury your socks as a sign of love—then Kit might just be your girl.                  July 12, 2025, 1:25 am

Adoption Fee: $700Bikini * 11 weeks old * Australian Cattle Dog mix * 12 lbs Bikini’s story started tough — she was just five or six weeks old when she was found abandoned and brought to a shelter. Luckily, DPS stepped in, and now she’s thriving in a loving foster home, growing stronger every day.   Daily Life & Routine: Bikini’s a young pup with a big day ahead of her! She wakes bright and early around 5:30am, ready to start her day. Her foster caregiver lets her out of her crate first thing, and she’s great about peeing outside right away. Breakfast comes next, served in her own pen to keep her safe from the resident dogs who also love their meals. She eats a mix of kibble and warmed wet food three times daily. Since she’s still too young for walks, she spends her days exploring inside and out, getting lots of supervised playtime with two friendly dogs who are teaching her good manners. Potty training is in progress with frequent outdoor trips, and she’s showing great promise by peeing quickly on the grass and learning to poop outside after a little encouragement. At night, she sleeps quietly in her crate, which she’s been keeping clean.   Personality: From day one, Bikini has been a social butterfly — friendly and eager to greet anyone who comes through the door. While she likes following the other dogs around more than her humans, she definitely knows how to cuddle up and relax after a busy play session. She’s affectionate but still learning her boundaries, often chewing on toys to soothe her teething gums. Bikini’s a lively, playful pup full of energy, but she also appreciates downtime snuggled on the couch with her foster family.   Social Skills: Bikini is getting along well with other dogs, having played off-leash with two different pups. She’s a bit cautious around dogs that play rough, but she bounces back quickly without fear. Although she hasn’t yet met cats or children, her friendly and easygoing nature suggests she’d adapt well.   Training & Behavior: Bikini is actively working on housetraining and crate manners. She’s learning the doggy door and is comfortable using pee pads when left in her pen. Like many puppies, she’s in the middle of a teething phase with lots of chewing — her favorite distractions are Benebones and any toy she can get her mouth on. She’s not much of a barker yet but is still very young.   Ideal Home: Bikini would thrive in almost any loving home but would especially enjoy having a canine companion to play and learn from. She needs a patient family ready to keep up with her puppy energy and help her continue growing into a well-mannered dog. As a Cattle Dog mix, she's one smart cookie and will thrive with training - she would love to attend doggy preschool to show off her brains and make new friends!   If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate puppy with a big heart and lots of love to give, Bikini might be the perfect new best friend for you.July 13, 2025, 11:11 am
