Story
Tippy enjoys sun bathing in redwood city foster home. she was rescued after hit by car, received surgery and thoroughly rehabbed. from vet estimate, she could be 5 years old or more. she is around 30 lb, spayed, all shots, looking for a loving home. she is house trained and ideal for human who needs a quiet companion. best if there is no other dog or cat as her current foster home doesn't have other pet. tippy would be good to keep someone company who lives a quiet life. she is quiet at home and easy to take care of by a kind hearted person with a routine. All dogs are fostered in private homes, there is no facility open to public. Home visit would be arranged for matched application. We encourage everyone to visit public shelters, and save another dog's life.

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $650   Sprinkles is a 4 month old Australian Cattle Dog x Basenji mix who is ready to shower the world in puppy kisses and love! We rescued Sprinkles from the shelter after she was left there for reasons unknown, but what we do know is how absolutely amazing and gorgeous she is. She won us over instantly with her puppy dog eyes and her personality and we scooped her up and welcomed her into our rescue! We expect this gal to be a medium size when she reaches her adult weight. She has fabulous pointy ears and a gorgeous coat, making her irresistible as she prances around the world. If you are ready for a new best friend to take on the world with, meet Sprinkles!      Sprinkles is “one of the best puppies I’ve ever fostered” according to her foster mom, which is a huge compliment from a long-time puppy foster. She is fantastically well-rounded with a great energy level and flawless temperament. She has a lot of energy but she isn’t hyper or crazy. She would be a perfect partner for a long hike, a day on the lake, or a trip to the Farmer’s Market. Looking to unwind after a long day? Sprinkles is a total cuddle bug who will happily relax on the couch as she soaks up all the snuggles and belly rubs you have to offer her. Sprinkles is a total Princess who makes every blanket and pillow her throne. If you let her on your bed, she will settle in like the Queen she is. She would love an overflowing toy box of plushies and squeaky toys in her forever home. Like any cattle dog, Sprinkles is endlessly loyal and wants to be wherever her people are. She promises that with her in your life, you will never need to go through a doorway alone ever again!  Sprinkles sleeps through the night in her crate and wakes up around 8 AM. She gets some morning playtime followed by breakfast and a nap. Then, she cycles through playing, napping, cuddling like any good puppy! She eats lunch at 1 PM and has her evening meal at 5 PM. Throughout the day, she plays with her toys and occasionally works on her training in short bursts, to keep her attention focused. In the evening, Sprinkles settles on the couch after dinner for some more cuddles and kisses. After some more playtime, she goes out for one last potty trip before she goes into her crate for the night around 10 PM.  Sprinkles gets along very well with dogs of all ages. She loves people and greets every stranger with kisses and a wagging tail. She is just as sweet as can be. Sprinkles loves exploring her yard and will keep all the critters away in return for a nibble in the garden. She is food motivated and very smart, already picking up on basic training. She will be the star of any training class! Sprinkles is working on her potty training and crate training. If you’re ready for the cutest bundle of puppy love, adopt Sprinkles today!    Sprinkles is only an option for homes who have owned a dog of their own in the last five years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 9. July 26, 2024, 2:33 pm

Bobby, neutered male, 13-months old, 42-lbs If you would like to give BOBBY a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Bobby is a lively, playful, and happy pup when around familiar environment. He is super mellow and well behaved by nature. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. Bobby adapted and thrived quickly in foster care. He is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight. His favorite pastime is his daily walks and hanging out with play pals in the park. Bobby is calm and docile compared to young pups his age. He would be a great candidate for family looking for a companion pet. About Bobby’s rescue: Bobby was deserted at the park, he was around six months old at the time. Volunteer posted his story on social media asking for help, but didn’t get any response. He was friendly to the park visitors and sometimes played with their dogs. During the time the volunteer was looking for foster opportunity for him. Before an organized fair held at the park, Bobby was picked up by the local shelter. Fortunately, the volunteer landed a foster family for Bobby and got him out of the shelter shortly. Bobby got out of the shell and became his old and friendly self soon afterwards. Story
URGENT TEMPORARY FOSTER needed for this Saturday 6/22-6/28!   Dotty is a beautiful, well mannered and affectionate 45 lbs young lady, who has recently been spayed. Guessimated at 6 years, she enjoys a long walk and short sniff breaks in equal measure. Very responsive to directions, she does well on a loose leash and responds instantly even though she rather chase the critter. Her moderate energy is well suited for a house with folks working from home or those that require them to be away for a few hours. She likes to keep you in the line of sight and follows you around, but will gladly find her way to her doggy bed or favorite spot in the yard, once you settle down. Dotty tested okay with Cats but best in a home as an only dog. Children 13+ okay. Dotty is crate trained and soft spoken, and will sneak up into your heart with a nose boop or paw lift when you least expect it! Please contact Diana at (510) 333-4420 or theperfectdogrescue@gmail.com or fill out the adoption application:  http://www.theperfectdog.org/TPDadoptapp.doc July 22, 2024, 11:32 am

Story
Crew is a sweet and loving four year old boy in need of a new home. He was rescued in 2021 when his previous owner relinquished their rights to Crew after he was hit by a car and could not afford the surgery to fix his broken leg. Since then, he has healed up nicely and is a ball of happy energy in the house. He is well trained - he has been through private lessons and doggie bootcamp and is e-collar and crate trained. Unfortunately, he needs a new home as he does not get along with our other dog. He is reactive around new dogs but has previously gotten along with various other dogs. Despite this, he is great with people, the life of the party, and the best snuggler. Please consider him for adoption in as a single dog home as he only deserves the best. Thank you.
