Story
Hi! I’m Riddle!I’m a 2 -year-old, medium-sized Australian Cattle Mix with a big heart and aneven bigger personality.Three words my friends use to describe me: shy at first, playful, and a protector. My energy level is high, and my favorite way to spend the day is running freely!I Love: Cheese Walks and runs To be next to youI go absolutely bananas for cheddar crunchies, and I’m pretty sure cheese is thebest thing ever.Home Life:I am house trained and do well when I am reminded to not mark my territoryinside. At the end of the day, you’ll usually find me on my bed with my pillow andblankets.Social Skills: Dogs: Loves playing with dogs! Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown New people: Scare me still and I will need time to learn everyone.I do best with 1 person at a time to help me feel safe and confident.Training & Manners:I know sit, paw and lay down and am learning how to leave it.On leash, I am doing well, occasionally I will pull but improve every day.Ideal Foster or Forever Home:My dream home would have enough space for me to run around, like abackyard.I’d love a family who give me time to show who I am and doesn’t mind taking itslow with me to show me I can trust them. Why Foster or Adopt Me?Because I bring love, laughter, and energy wherever I go.If you’re looking for a loyal companion who hears every small noise and would liketo watch me run around, I’m your dog!Ready to Meet Me?I can’t wait to meet my foster or forever family—could that be you? ##2580679##

Adoption fee: $650 Meet Subwoofer, aka “Woofie” — 28.6 Pounds of Resilience, Wiggles, and Big-Eared Charm   Subwoofer’s story started out tough, but you’d never know it from the joyful, goofy puppy he is today. This 4–5 month old ACD/Husky mix boy came to DPS as a very young puppy from a Central Valley shelter, gravely ill with parvo. Thanks to dedicated care and a whole lot of determination, Woofie fought his way back to health— and now he’s thriving, growing fast, and filling his foster home with laughter. At 28.6 pounds, he’s a sturdy, happy pup with an even bigger personality and ears that seem to have a life of their own.   Woofie is the kind of puppy who greets each day with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a readiness to play. He’s affectionate without being clingy, social with other dogs, and always up for an adventure. Most of all, he’s a survivor who has blossomed into a fun-loving companion ready to find his forever family.   Daily Routine Woofie starts his day around 7:30–8:00 AM, waking up in his cozy enclosed pen area. First stop: the backyard, where he happily runs out to stretch his legs and take care of business. Breakfast is a highlight— he’s very food motivated and gets adorably excited when meals are on the way.   During the day, Woofie rotates between his pen area, the kitchen, and the backyard, enjoying a mix of playtime and naps. He especially loves romping around with his canine foster sibling, engaging in games of chase and tug-of-war before settling down to recharge.   Dinner happens between 5:00–6:00 PM, followed by more playtime with his people or doggy friend. By 10:00 PM, he’s ready to wind down for the night and settle in to sleep.   Personality: From Fighter to Fun-Loving Goofball When Woofie first arrived, he was very sick and understandably quiet and reserved. But as his health improved, so did his spirit. Over the past few weeks, his true personality has burst into full view—playful, curious, and delightfully goofy.   He’s full of classic puppy energy from the moment he wakes up. He loves being around people and other dogs, and he’s always eager to join in on whatever is happening. While he enjoys attention and companionship, he’s not overly clingy—he’s content as long as he has friends nearby, whether human or canine.   Woofie also has a charmingly vocal side. Sometimes he’ll “chat” to himself with a soft, howling-style bark when he wants attention. It’s less noisy than you might expect and more endearing than anything—like he’s narrating his own adventures.   Social Life Woofie lives with a medium-sized Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix and absolutely loves having a canine playmate. He interacts with other dogs daily and is always ready to run, wrestle, and play. Off-leash, he’s friendly, enthusiastic, and social.   He hasn’t yet met cats or young children, but his foster family believes he would do best with slightly older kids who can understand typical puppy behaviors like mouthing and high energy play.   Energy & Exercise This is an energetic, playful puppy who thrives on activity and engagement. He’s happiest when he’s moving—running in the yard, playing with toys, or exploring the world around him.   Woofie has recently started going on walks and is already showing promising leash manners. He’s curious about his surroundings and adapting quickly to new experiences, making him a great candidate for families who enjoy daily walks, outings, and adventures.   Puppy Habits (The Honest Scoop) Woofie is very much a puppy, which means:   -He loves to chew—especially during teething -He may dig a little in the yard (particularly to bury treasures like bones) -He sometimes barks briefly when seeking attention or greeting visitors -He can be a bit mouthy, but this is typical puppy behavior and improves with guidance   With structure, training, and appropriate chew toys, these habits will continue to improve as he matures.   He has a fun, spirited personality and will do best with adopters who are ready to do training and help him grow into the amazing adult dog he’s destined to be.   What Makes Woofie Special Woofie didn’t have the easiest start in life, but his resilience and joyful spirit make him truly unforgettable. He fought hard to recover from parvo, and now he’s embracing every moment with enthusiasm and curiosity. And then there are those ears— big, upright, and impossibly cute. They’re the first thing people notice and the last thing they forget.   Favorite Thing His foster family can’t get enough of Woofie’s adorable “talking” habit. Every now and then, he’ll sit quietly and have a little conversation with himself, making soft howling sounds as if he’s sharing his thoughts with the world. It’s equal parts funny and heart-melting—and perfectly captures his quirky, lovable personality.   Subwoofer (“Woofie”) is a survivor, an explorer, and a joyful young pup ready to start the next chapter of his life. With love, structure, and plenty of playtime, he’s going to make an incredible companion.May 13, 2026, 1:53 am

Some dogs are just dogs. Legend sounds like the kind of dog people talk about years later. “Oh my gosh, remember Legend?” “The sweetest dog ever.” “The one who did the little dinosaur teeth thing when he got excited?” “That dog was SUCH a good boy.” This 10-12 month old Australian Cattle Dog mix is around 40 pounds of handsome, thoughtful, playful perfection with the kind of soulful face that makes people stop mid sentence and say, “Wait… whose dog is THAT?” Legend has quietly become one of those dogs everybody falls for once they meet him. He’s not the loudest dog in the room. He doesn’t need to be. He’s the cool guy. The observant guy. The dog equivalent of someone leaning casually against a truck in a country song while somehow also being emotionally available. And once he feels comfortable? His goofy side starts showing up in the best ways. Legend LOVES other dogs. Truly loves them. He has spent his entire life around dogs and absolutely lights up when he has a canine buddy nearby. Wrestling in the yard, playing chase, lounging together afterward like exhausted college roommates… this is his happy place. He especially bonded with his foster brother and looks to other dogs for friendship, fun, and confidence. When he gets really excited during play, he does this ridiculous little tooth-snapping move that makes him look like a tiny velociraptor who just discovered happiness for the first time. It is impossible not to laugh. He would thrive in a home with another friendly dog because dogs are basically his favorite language. A confident canine friend helps him settle in, understand routines, and feel at ease. He’s already shown how beautifully he adapts when he has that companionship around him. And despite his cattle dog roots, Legend is not some chaotic tornado looking to redecorate your home through destruction. He actually has a really lovely balance to him. He enjoys walks, playtime, toys, and adventures, but once the fun is over, he’s perfectly content curling up on a cozy dog bed nearby like a retired athlete recovering after the big game. He’s crate trained, doing wonderfully with housetraining, uses a doggy door, and settles quietly at night like an absolute professional. No dramatic speeches. No protests. Just “goodnight everyone” and straight to bed. On walks, Legend is thoughtful and observant. He notices the world around him without overreacting to it. Loud noises or unfamiliar things may catch his attention for a moment, but he looks to his people and moves on. He wants to learn. He wants to understand. And you can practically see him getting more confident as he realizes the world is actually pretty great. He’s also met a cat and, importantly, did not respond like he was auditioning for a National Geographic special. He was curious, respectful, and appropriately unsure what exactly this strange tiny roommate was supposed to be. Legend spent most of his puppyhood growing up in a Southern California shelter before finally getting his chance to experience home life, soft beds, playtime, and stability. And honestly? He’s making up for lost time beautifully. There’s something incredibly special about a dog like him. He’s young enough to still have all the fun, curiosity, and playful moments of puppyhood, but thoughtful enough that you can already see the amazing adult dog he’s becoming. The loyalty. The companionship. The steady presence. It’s all there. Legend isn’t trying to be the center of attention every second. But he is the dog people end up completely attached to before they even realize it happened. The kind of dog who becomes part of your routine, your family, your favorite memories. The kind of dog whose name eventually feels less like a name… and more like a very accurate description.  May 13, 2026, 1:53 am

Story
**About Bubu:** Thank you for interested in adopting Bubu. Please know that Bubu is an international rescue through Taiwan. When your application is approved, you will need to pick her up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, IAH, YVR, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we‘ve done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Meet Bubu: A Gentle Soul Looking for Her Forever Best Friend Bubu once had a home, but she was sadly abandoned simply because she grew "too big." Despite this heartbreak, Bubu remains a vibrant, confident, and well-mannered girl who holds no grudges—only love! Why you’ll fall in love with Bubu: Social Superstar: She gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes, cats, and children. Household Manners: She is house-trained and prefers going outside, but she’s also smart enough to use pee pads indoors if needed. The Perfect Walking Partner: She walks beautifully on a leash, though she does get a little "puppy-excited" when she sees a bird or squirrel to chase! Quiet & Friendly: She rarely barks and currently lives peacefully in a foster home with six dogs and two cats. A few quirks: Bubu is a "free spirit" who doesn't like being confined by playpens or fences—she’s quite the jumper! Because of this, we focus on crate training instead. Occasionally, if left alone, she might find a pen or a small box on the table to chew on, so she’d love a home that provides plenty of toys. Bubu is ready to find a family that will cherish her for the rest of her life. If you have room in your heart and home for this amazing girl, please contact us today!
