Meet Mimi: The Darling Puppy Looking for a Forever Home! 7 month old, 43lb sweet little Mimi was found as a stray at just 4 months old and wound up at the shelter in July of 2025. Shy and nervous, Mimi would hide in her cubby where members of the public couldn’t see her, which is the only reason we can think of as to why this darling girl wasn’t adopted immediately. She was described by volunteers as wiggly, soft, and affectionate. She was tolerant with other dogs in play groups, but preferred to stick close to her human friends. With the help of a dedicated foster, our team at Dog Coalition LA was able to place her in a foster home in October. In her foster home, puppy Mimi is learning all of the skills needed to grow into a well-balanced forever friend. She is potty trained, learning good leash manners, and loves to spend down time in her crate. She is easily corrected and learning to respect the rules of the house, even with her puppy-like tendencies. Mimi is fostered with a canine sibling and is playful with him, but also respects his boundaries. We are so thrilled to see Mimi out in the real world and are looking for her forever family to love her and continue her journey! We believe Mimi would do well in a home with other dogs, kids, and potentially cats with slow introductions. She could also be a great solo companion with continued socialization around both dogs and people. We would describe her as medium-energy and CUTE. What You Should Know About Mimi: -Young, adorable, moldable sweetheart looking for a family to call forever! -Gentle and dainty little lady, sometimes overwhelmed by new things and new environments, needs continued calm exposure to people, places, and things. -Would be a great companion for an individual or family looking for a young dog with her whole life ahead of her! Jericho came to our family from a breeder who is a family friend in Northern California. He was the last of his litter not adopted so this friend gave him to us since we were looking to add to our family. We have had no experience with this breed and as he gets older we have realized that we just are not the right family to meet his needs in the way they need to be met. He is a people dog. A true velcro pup. He needs a single owner who has nothing but time to spend with him. Unfortunately we are a family always on the run. I want for him to have the attention he deserves. With us hes alone alot. He has a never ending well of energy and would be great for someone with farm animals or that loves to hike daily. He is a wonderful, loving companion. And because we love him so much we just want him to live his best life. He's great with kids, but does indeed nip and heard them.
