URGENT FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED: This handsome amazing family dog, Charlie, is being returned to us at no fault of his own. The family said that Charlie is super bored because everyone is gone all day for work and when they get home from work, they have to take care of their kids. Subsequently, poor Charlie gets left out and ignored. It makes us so sad. Charlie deserves to have an amazing family that wants to spend all of their time with him, take him on walks, play with him, and snuggle with him on the couch. He deserves better!! He is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix. He LOVES all people!! He is super gentle and patient with kids. He could do well with having a doggy sibling/friend so he would need to do a proper introduction first. He successfully completed his 6-week board & train program in July 2020. He did great at training! Charlie is housebroken and crate trained but needs an active family that likes to go on walks and play with him. He's a lap dog and loves cuddles with his family. Scout von Scheer is a stunning 3 year old Aussie Shepherd mixed with German Shepherd - we are guessing. Scout is a bit of a shy girl at the rescue who takes a moment to warm up but, with some kind attention, she just shines. She is the most unique-looking dog – her bi-colored eyes, freckled nose and fluffy white coat give her “supermodel” looks. She is likely housebroken and walks well on the leash. She meets dogs well if they come up to say “Hello,” but she isn’t generally interested in making the first move. Scout enjoys your affection and will warm up quickly with a few ear scratches and back rubs. She’ll thank you for treats by taking them gently from your hand and giving you a few kisses in return! In the play yard, she prefers the calmer dogs and generally seems to enjoy being with people. Scout von Scheer is in a foster home, offsite, and is NOT at our rescue location in Los Angeles. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.

Bella is a blithe spirit who loves to play with rope pulls or toys. She enjoys a little play throughout the day.  Does well in crates. Not mouthy. Very light on her feet and loves to run about.  She is generally quiet and seems to be good around other dogs while on a leash (we have not had her off leash with anyone... but she is a puppy so she is both guarded but unknowing of some dog ways. Yet, she seems like a fast learner. ) She really just wants to be around people. When you sit at the table she is at your feet sitting or laying down. She likes to hug and cuddle while on a couch . She can scale a 5" fence... not easily, but it seems she is not an escape artist... she only scaled the gate when I have taken out the cans to the street. Very friendly and well mannered boy. Lots of coat so will need regular grooming. Knows basic commands and some tricks. He is kennel trained and does sleep in kennel at night. He is good on and off leash. Great with all. Loves to go to beach, hike and camp, good running buddy. Very playful boy looking for his new best friend.
