URGENT FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED: This handsome amazing family dog, Charlie, is being returned to us at no fault of his own. The family said that Charlie is super bored because everyone is gone all day for work and when they get home from work, they have to take care of their kids. Subsequently, poor Charlie gets left out and ignored. It makes us so sad. Charlie deserves to have an amazing family that wants to spend all of their time with him, take him on walks, play with him, and snuggle with him on the couch. He deserves better!! He is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix. He LOVES all people!! He is super gentle and patient with kids. He could do well with having a doggy sibling/friend so he would need to do a proper introduction first. He successfully completed his 6-week board & train program in July 2020. He did great at training! Charlie is housebroken and crate trained but needs an active family that likes to go on walks and play with him. He's a lap dog and loves cuddles with his family. Story

Picasso is a super sweet 2.5 year old pure tricolor Australian Shepard who we rescued 1.5 years ago. He is trained in all basic commands and loves to chase/herd balls and play tug-o-war. He is VERY protective of family members, especially my daughters, which has led to the need to re-home him after two biting incidents: a gardener who entered the yard unannounced and got too close to my daughter (animal control ruled dog not at fault) and myself, when I raised my voice to circumvent my youngest from breaking a mirror. He went to aggression training afterwards with South Bay K-9 to learn additional commands and subdue his aggression, but obviously his innate feelings to protect my daughters persist. For example, he vocalizes when we kiss or hug and he tries to block my entrance to their rooms. At this point, it is recommended we muzzle him in the house when all family members are together, but he is fine with me alone. It is heart wrenching, but he would do best with dominant adult(s).

Benito is 1 year 8 month old neutered male Australian Shepherd. We adopted him at age 7 months as his previous owners were unable to give him the space/attention/socialization he needed. We previously adopted a 3 year male Aussie-mix, so thought Benito would make a great addition to our family. Unfortunately, the two dogs do not get along and have to be kept separate. Benito is reactive to new people and other dogs, thus an experienced adopter is requested. Benito is house-trained, crate-trained and very smart. He learns tricks easily (especially if treats are involved!) He enjoys playing fetch and is a great catch. Once he knows you, he is a loving boy. It breaks my heart that we were not successful in acclimating Benito to our family. He has so much potential. Benito would do well in a single pet home that can better foster his star qualities. Unfortunately, the need to rehome Benito is becoming urgent (by 7/12 at the latest). Please help us save him!
