Story
Meet Doodle! Doodle is a 7-year-old mini-Australian shepherd. He is a super smart, funny and loving dog but he is not for the first-time dog owner. True to his breed, he has a very high herding instinct and is protective of his home. He is also very obedient, knows all his commands, is potty-trained, crate trained, and absolutely can't get enough attention from his person. He requires a lot of exercise (just a walk isn't enough), so he'll need an active owner who will run with him, hike with him, and take him on adventures. Doodle would do great in agility or herding activities. He can be reactive with larger dogs so we are looking for a home without a resident dog over 20 lbs. but he does get along well with small dogs and cats (although he does like to herd them when he gets excited). In his foster home, Doodle lives with four other dogs and two cats. He does really well with the established boundaries in his foster home and flourishes when he knows the rules and what's expected of him. In addition to regular exercise, his foster mom gives him puzzles, interactive toys and lick mats that help to keep him mentally stimulated. He is a great guard dog and very protective so he can be reactive to visitors in his home. Doodle is also selective with who he likes and tends to favor women over men so introductions to new people must be done slowly and with care. Doodle is a medium size dog, weighing in at 35 lbs., is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. He is an amazing guy and we know his perfect home is out there. Doodle is looking for a quite home with no children where he would prefer to be the only dog. He needs an owner who has owned a herding breed before and is up for the challenge of owning a high energy, intelligent dog. Is it you?

ADOPT ME: MAX  Professional Love Bug. World-Class Snuggler. Certified Bathroom Buddy. Meet Max: your future shadow, cuddle consultant, adventure partner, and personal emotional support floof all wrapped into one stunningly handsome package. This gorgeous boy has the most mesmerizing icy-blue eyes, a perfect pink nose, a fluffy coat made for burying your face in, and the sweetest, softest soul. He’s calm, affectionate, laid-back, and genuinely happiest when he’s simply near his person. And when we say near you… We mean NEAR you.  Max believes privacy is overrated. Bathroom trip? He’s coming. Folding laundry? Supervising. Working? He’ll be touching at least one part of your body for moral support. Sleeping? Ideally pressed directly against you like a weighted blanket with feelings.  MAX’S SPECIAL SKILLS: • Great kisser • Great eater • Expert shadow / tiny emotional support cloud • Super silly and endlessly sweet • Professional floor snuggler • Adventure buddy with excellent vibes • Knows sit, high five, and low five • Understands the importance of naps and self-care Max is also a world-class sniffer. He does not believe in “quick walks.” Every leaf, breeze, stick, and mysterious patch of grass deserves a full investigation. He likes to take life in slowly and thoughtfully. Honestly? Kind of inspiring. FAVORITE THINGS: • Coconut oil • Dried cranberries • Baby carrots (selectively… he has standards) • Being within touching distance of you at all times • Lying next to you while you relax • Turning himself into a lap dog the second you sit on the floor Bananas, however? Absolutely not. He would like to formally decline. Max has come from a very hard past, but you would never know it from the way he loves. He is resilient, gentle, trusting, and overflowing with affection. The kind of dog who makes a house feel softer, warmer, and more alive simply because he’s in it. He’s not just beautiful. He’s the best boy.

Story
Jolene is about 1.5-2 years old. She had a litter of pups that all were adopted. However, since she was raised in the wild and pups born in captivity, she had some work to do...after months of intensive training, she has a fresh take on life and a new love for people. She is spayed and vaccinated. She enjoys walks, playing with toys, sunbathing, and being brushed. She was found abandoned and living in the desert with few other dogs last year. Since then, many people have put in a lot of effort to teach them humans are not the enemy. She has come a long way and is now ready to begin bonding with their future family. Jolene is much shyer. She is a dog that will need a routine and time in order to trust her new owner. She has just started allowing us to pet and brush her which she is really enjoying. She knows how to sit, go to her place and loves her crate.
