Sadie looks to be a boxer mix who was found tied up outside in Texas. She was brought to the local shelter and is currently staying in an outdoor kennel. She suffered from a bad skin infection and once we saw pictures of her, we arranged for her to be taken to a vet to try to provide some relief. After a month of treatments we are happy to say that her skin is healthy now, and her fur has fully grown back and looks wonderful! Unfortunately this poor girl is still in the shelter as we have no available fosters in TX that can take her in. We will continue trying to find her a temporary foster home, but better yet, we are hoping to find her a forever home in the NJ area. Sadie is estimated to be 18 months old and she weighs 40 pounds. She is up to date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. If adopted, she will be brought to the NJ area on our next transport. Personality: very friendly and happy girl Good with: people, and dogs. Has not been young child or cat tested yet. Drako is a 4 Year Old Boxer Pitbull mix. He is an extremely funny, loving, kind, caring dog who needs someone to give him the time he deserves. He does have some trauma from when he was a puppy, he was bit by other dogs that were being fostered and developed a fear. We went to training but it does take him time to open up. I have two pitbulls, who both need more attention from me, and I believe, in the right home, Drako will be a lot happier. If you’re looking for a dog who will go anywhere with you, that will cuddle you and can keep you on your toes, he is definitely the dog for you. I would love someone experienced since he does have some trauma but he loves any and all people. He is perfect for the adventurous owner! Great on hikes, runs and long walks.

Lizzie is a special sweet shy girl looking for a home where she will feel safe and secure!This 3 year old boxer mix spent several months running loose near a dangerously busy road, wandering between businesses but too scared to approach anyone. Our friends at Buddha Dog Rescue and Recovery were able to trap her and she immediately melted and clung to her rescuer for security once she knew she was safe. She's very timid and army crawls up to new people tentatively especially men, but once she bonds she turns into a happy silly goofy playful boxer. She can be vocal seeing dogs on walks, but lived with another smaller dog and has enjoyed playing with some male doggie friends at the shelter with proper introductions. She is easily spooked and may try to bolt when startled or in new situations, definitely a flight risk so making sure she's securely leashed at all times is especially important. Lizzie is 63lbs full grown, spayed, updated on shots, and ready to start a new life. Please submit an application to meet Lizzie by appointment. Meet Jimmy,(fka King) a charming and affectionate six-year-old pup who’s truly as majestic as his name suggests. This sweet, handsome boy was on the list to be euthanized and we were fortunate enough to save him minutes before it was too late. Surrendered through no fault of his own, Jimmy was deeply loved by his previous family, who made the difficult decision to rehome him after moving in to care for elderly parents. This loyal boy has known nothing but love and kindness and is now hoping to find his next forever home—one where he can once again be someone’s best friend, hiking buddy, and devoted shadow.Jimmy is the perfect blend of playful and chill. He's housebroken, crate trained, and knows all his basic commands—including “sit,” “stay,” “wait,” and “leave it.” He’s got great leash manners, walking at a calm, easy pace with only the occasional tug when something especially exciting (like a stray cat!) crosses his path. He’s easily redirected with a gentle voice or treat and always eager to please. Speaking of treats, he loves them :) Jimmy’s previous owner stated that he was attacked by two dogs before coming into the shelter (see his adorably wonky ear). He’s been getting along great with the dogs he’s met in foster, but if you have another dog a meet and greet is required to make sure it’s a good match.
