Story
Marley Girl (my foster dog up for adoption): Marley's body is still catching up to the size of her head. I suspect her head is bigger then her body because she's overloaded with brains and personality. If Marley was human she would be the type of person that screams "Bingo" even though she doesn't have bingo...just to be extra silly. Marley has been with me for approximately 3 months and has mastered being crate trained and housebroken. Marley has successfully completed professional training through a reputable daycare/board/training facility. She is trained off-leash, e-collar, transitional leash and basic commands. A fan favorite in her training program, she socializes well with other dogs and is established in their system if you need a place for her to stay when away. In the home environment with proper introductions Marley will enjoy the company of a dog sibling but she's also quite happy without one as well. No cats or birds. Marley loves to play hard but understands relaxation time and crate rest. She thrives for her own human(s). Her adoption fee is being covered and training will be provided for her new owner(s) at no cost. While Marley enjoys her walks she enjoys the freedom of a fenced in yard. She takes her job seriously of keeping squirrels out of the yard. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, weighing in at a lean/muscular 53 lbs, approaching 2 years old and having the most unique coat; Marleys beauty is appreciated more in person as photos don't do her justice. Her head is pitch black, body smokey grey, black stripe down her back, 4 white paws and smidgen of white on her chest. Her face is Boxer and Lab with a hint of "Pitty". And we say yes she has Pitty in her....its a "pitty" she was surrendered to a shelter, and its a "pitty" she doesn't have a person to call her own. Reason for surrender was family moving and unable to take her with them. Marley does not care for the sound of a vacuum or leaf blower so we crate her and she's content. Crying babies are not music to her ears either. Older children are acceptable humans in her mind. She travels well in a car. I have trained her to be tethered and rest in her bed during outings. Excitement goes from zero to 10 with water - she loves the hose, sprinklers and kiddie pool we have for her. Visits to the lake where she can romp is an activity she relishes, too. There is an adoption application process through the respective organization I'm fostering for as well as reference checks (veterinarian checks if applicable). If you're interested in meeting Marley, her foster can be reached at 973 420 4633. Feel free to share her story! Thank you for taking the time to read another story of a sweet dog searching for a furever home! Story
Stella is a beautiful girl. She is very affectionate and loves everyone. She loves to play and hug. We are working on teaching her not to jump. She just wants to be touching someone all the time. She is walking great on a leash and learning basic commands. She gets along with other dogs and would do well with an active family. Her adoption fee is $250 and is currently in Tennessee. She can be transported. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Buster was found running down the road. We found out that he was adopted from a shelter, but the lady couldn't keep him, so she gave him away and apparently, they didn't want him either. He's a good boy just looking for his forever family. He is 5 months old and gets along with everyone. If you would like to add Buster to your home, please respond by using the big black button marked " Ask About Me" and we will send you an application. These dogs are being fostered in TN but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Meet Chyna, your future snuggle buddy and full-time shadow! Quote from her foster family:"Chyna is always on the lookout for cuddles and a snuggle buddy. One look at her sweet face and you’ll be smitten. She’s never far from your side, showering you with endless kisses in exchange for a good belly rub. Honestly, we think she might be part marshmallow." Woof-Facts: Name: Chyna Breed: Mixed Breed Weight: 69 lbs of pure love Age: 9 years young Gender: Female Health: UTD on vaccines, microchipped & spayedChyna's Ideal Home:Chyna would love a home where she can be the center of your universe (and your couch). She’s a big fan of leisurely strolls, chasing backyard squirrels (respectfully), and riding shotgun on errands. Her foster says she’s an absolute dream—the kind that snores softly next to you while you binge your favorite show. Great with: Kids: Possibly older children—she sometimes forgets she’s not a lap dog. Dogs: No thanks—Chyna prefers a drama-free, solo spotlight. Cats: Hard pass—she’s more of a “people person.” Training & Manners: Crate Trained: Doesn’t need one—she snoozes peacefully in her bed and keeps the house in check while you’re out. House Trained: Yes! She’s a lady. Leash Trained: Yes—walks like she’s strutting the runway. Personality:Chyna is a certified “Velcro dog”—if you move, she moves. She loves chew toys, fetch, car rides, zoomies, and belly rubs. But her favorite activity? Being next to you. She may be a big girl, but her heart (and snoot) are even bigger. Her Journey:Chyna came to Rescue Haven Foundation from the Yonkers Animal Shelter after her previous family had to surrender her due to financial hardship and a move. Through it all, she’s kept her tail wagging and her hope high. October 29, 2025, 11:53 am

Story
Meet Harley: Your Next Best Friend! Looking for a devoted companion? Meet Harley, a 5-year-old sweetheart who's ready to be the center of your world. Due to her current owner's long work hours and health challenges, Harley needs a new forever home where she can receive the attention and care she deserves.Currently, Harley spends at least 12 hours a day confined to her crate. While a kind volunteer occasionally walks her, these brief moments cannot compensate for the profound lack of engagement and attention she desperately needs and deserves. This is not a life – it's mere existence.Though her owner loves her, she knows that Harley deserves so much more. This beautiful 65-pound girl is the definition of a "velcro dog" – she'll follow you around with endless affection and charm. One of her adorable signature moves? Standing on her back legs to give big bear hugs! Harley's playful energy comes out in delightful "zoomies," but she's equally content snuggling up on her favorite blanket during quiet evening TV time. While Harley is good with other dogs, her enthusiasm can be overwhelming – she plays very rough and hasn't learned when to pump the brakes. For this reason, we're seeking a single-pet household where she can be your one and only companion.Perfect Home: An owner committed to giving her the attention she deserves Space for her to run and play (fenced yard preferred, but a long lead works!) Semi -active lifestyle to get out her energy Home with older children (she's enthusiastic and doesn't always realize her size!) Single-pet household (so her exuberant play style won't be an issue)Harley is: Spayed and fully vetted with clean bill of health Housebroken and crate trained Comfortable with extended crating when necessaryHarley's ideal family will understand that while she's currently used to long crating periods, she thrives with more interaction and exercise. She's incredibly smart and affectionate, just waiting for someone to show her the active, engaging lifestyle she dreams of.Harley isn't just looking for a home – she's looking for a partner, a best friend who will show her what a truly loved dog's life can be. She has so much love to give and is ready to be your shadow, your confidante, your constant companion. Are you ready for Harley's big love? If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your days with joy and your heart with love, Harley could be your perfect match. She's ready to be someone's cherished family member and return that devotion tenfold.September 10, 2025, 1:48 am
