Story
Meet TysonTyson has had a very challenging journey, he is a good dog who simply needs a home that understands his limits and respects his pace.Tyson is best suited for a quiet, well‑structured environment with predictable routines. He enjoys being with his people but is not an active dog. He can be reactive at times, but he responds well to calm redirection and does best with soft voices and low‑stress handling.Tyson should be the only furry family member in the home. He thrives when he can relax without the pressure of other pets or busy household traffic. A steady, peaceful home will set him up for success. We want to ensure Tyson finally finds the right match, and we are more than happy to discuss all of Tyson's needs with any interested adopters. As well, interested adopters would be required to have a consult with our Behaviour & Welfare Team.If you can offer Tyson a calm, consistent "retirement" home where he can feel safe and understood, he may be the companion you've been looking for. *Please note - Dog meets are by appointment only. If you are interested in meeting Tyson, the first step is to complete your online application. Staff will contact the approved applicant to discuss further. Story
Hi there! My name is Chase, and guess what? I'm cute too-like, REALLY cute!I was found dumped up north, just like my buddy Jeffrey. Now... people keep asking, "Are you two related?"Honestly? We have no idea. We don't look alike at all. He's fluffy and dramatic. I'm... well... ME-handsome, charming, and totally original. All I know is we ended up in the same crummy situation, and now we both ended up here in Chilliwack-the place where good dogs get a fresh start. And I'm so, so ready for that. Now, confession time:I'm nervous. Like... heart‑thumpy, wide‑eyed, "what is happening?" nervous. Being dumped will do that to a guy. I'm still figuring things out and trying to understand that not all humans disappear on you.But underneath the fear? There's a really good boy. A boy who wants to trust. A boy who wants someone to say, "It's okay now, Chase. You're safe."I might need a little time, some gentle words, and a soft place to land-but I promise I'm worth every bit of patience. If you want a brave, sweet, starting‑over kind of dog who's just looking for someone to believe in him...I'll be here waiting.Hoping my people finally find me.Love,Chase 🤎***Chase will be foster to adopt while he waits for his neuter appointment Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Points Weight: 20.6 Age: 0yrs 6mths 2wks

Story
Hello fellow Chilliwackians! My name is Petey! I'm a 3‑year‑old Blue Tick Hound mix, and guess what? I'm very handsome. Like, REALLY handsome. But uh... between you and me... I could probably lose a few pounds. Just a few. So I'm looking for a family that likes to do stuff! You know-walks, adventures, sniffing everything, more sniffing, even MORE sniffing. Not just lying around eating Cheetos. (But I do like treats... metabolic ones please!)The awesome humans here don't know much about my past-they couldn't reach my old owners. And honestly? I don't remember much either. So let's just start fresh, okay? Clean slate! New beginning! No need to think about the old stuff when today is right here wagging its tail.So if you're looking for a silly, sweet, slightly chubby, very lovable hound dog to join your family...Pick me! Pick me!I'll be right here waiting with my best puppy‑dog eyes.Love,Petey Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 51 Age: 3yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Pokey is a very cute little Shih Tzu. He is generally well mannered and the reason I'm rehoming him is because he can't be trusted around babies. He responds to some commands: Treat: when he's being offered food he will get excited with this word Speak: This also gets him excited and he can start shrieking/whining loudly because he thinks he's getting a treat Come: He gets this word, and if he isn't too excited about something else he will meander his way over Bed: He will go to lay down on his dog bed Sit: He generally sits down Lay down (with holding hand flat, above his head): he lays down He's really a great dog but with some life changes I can't keep him anymore His only known medical problem is a grey tooth Pokey is a very lovable shih tzu!
