Story
Mochi is magic in a bottle! He’s a happy go lucky pup with a heart of gold, and he’s ready for his forever home. We believe that Mochi is a Cur, Pittie mix, but he is a rescue so these are just our best guesses! Mochi has a stunning dark brindle coat. It’s giving expensive, sleek, and stylish! Make way for Mr. Mochi man! Sweet Mochi is estimated to be around 2 years old, and he currently weighs in at a lap-sized 66 pounds. You will enjoy all of those lbs of love when he climbs into your lap for his big bear hug. And you won’t even remember that he’s not a lap dog! The first thing you’ll notice about Mochi is how incredibly people-oriented he is. He greets each and every new face with a wagging tail and a big smile. Kids are no exception for Mochi- he has lived in foster home with a young child with no issue. If your kids need a playmate, Mochi could be a perfect match! Fall in love with Mochi right here! https://youtu.be/_qy84WUR11g?si=J9O7kt13di8X_SAR Our volunteer took him for a day out and let us know how great he was out in public! Mochi is such a good boy! He did perfectly in the car, sitting like a gentleman, waiting for you to turn around at the red lights to give him a nod and a “good boy Mochi!” Mochi sometimes gets a little excited on a leash, so he would be best with someone who can handle his wiggle butts and ready to go attitude! He LOVES everyone!! We know we already told you how amazing Mochi is in the car, but we really mean it! This quality really does just aid in making him a perfect adventure buddy. He enjoys his car rides in the back seat, watching the world go by while you drive. Mochi loves to accompany his foster family on shopping trips and Starbucks runs, and while he’s out- he’s absolutely spoiled by all who meet him. He’s just so handsome, and always so happy to meet new people- usually new humans will say something like “wow, what a beautiful coat!” followed shortly by “Wow! Thank you for the kisses, Mochi!” Mochi has learned that the compliments come freely and the treats come easy for a good boy like him. If your definition of “adventure” stretches past a trip to Target, fret not- Mochi is a total outdoorsman. This guy doesn’t mind puddles, ice, snow or steep climbs. The most treacherous hike couldn’t faze him. Mochi is both confident and trusting on leash, which makes him a perfect hiking companion. He has the stamina to join you for long excursions, and the car riding skills to join you in far away lands. He’s people-oriented enough to check in from time to time, making adventuring that much safer and more enjoyable. He’s a perfect camping/hiking/adventuring companion, through and through! When you get to that scenic overlook, Mochi will “sit” on command for that perfect picture, in exchange for a treat, of course! Speaking of treats, Mochi is super food motivated! This makes further training with him enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. He already sits on command for treats and he takes them gently. He also knows how to stay, he is such a good listener! His favorite treat is beef jerky, and yes, he did ask us to include this factoid in his bio! It is very important and relevant information for his future family to know. Mochi’s foster family does include two small dogs with a medium to low energy level. Mochi is firmly in the medium energy category, with legs that could run all day and a heart that could snuggle all night. Mochi loves to play with other dogs, and does play with his foster siblings, but is respectful when the other dogs are done playing, or don’t want to play. His lower energy friends keep him balanced, and for that reason we believe he would do best in a home with medium to low energy female dogs like his foster siblings. Mochi is so people-oriented that he could also thrive as a solo dog, soaking up all of your attention for himself. Mochi is a total toy lover too. He likes to carry his toys around in his mouth, and he has been reported to do so for up to a half hour at a time. It’s impossibly adorable. He also likes to pull his toys out of his toy box, one by one, doing a little “inventory” before deciding which is best. He’s also great at catching his toys in his mouth. He’s such a talented and happy boy! I was one of the lucky people able to play tug-of-war with Mochi, and of course he won. With a boy this cute you don’t even care when you lose a great battle, because you’ve already won just by being with him!!! Precious Mochi is so loving and happy, he will surely brighten any home. We would be remiss to not mention that Mochi is a total staff favorite! He’s described as “funny and cute,” by our behavior team lead, as “so happy” by one of our K9 Coaches, and as “an incredibly special boy,” by one of our adoption coordinators. Mochi is truly such a bright and special soul, and he has so many fans and friends already, but he’s ready for his forever home. With a smile always on his face, Mochi is ready to fill your home with love and happiness. Mochi could live with other dogs, but we don’t recommend him for a home with kitties. We believe he would be happiest in a home with a yard, but considering his personality and social skills, we believe he could do well in an apartment too. Mochi could make a great family dog, we think he would be best in a home with kids 10+ Mochi is ready for the rest of his life to begin- don’t make him wait any longer, apply to adopt this sweet boy today! Adopt Mochi here: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66e88c07ef9945cdad008110 Email: katiak@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
You just simply HAVE to meet Momo! A small boy with a bigger than life personality who is just waiting for you to sign that dotted line and bring him home! He is dog friendly, loves to play, kid friendly, great car rider, and the list can go on and on! There is just so much to love about him. Watch his video and fall in love with this happy little fella: https://youtu.be/7OqJGB5syL4?si=O-3emyqN95Q2zb33 Momo Sugar is a pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 37 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. With that long body, short little legs, bouncy ears, piggy like nose, and his perfectly curled tail, he's a true mystery but he's the cutest mystery! Momo loves to toss his toys in the air and catch them, proving he’s an expert in self-entertainment. But don’t let his playful energy fool you, once he’s had his fun, he’s all about lounging on the floor and hanging out with his people, soaking up the family vibes. Momo is currently living in a busy foster home with multiple dogs of all ages and sizes, including his best friend, a teeny tiny Chihuahua! They love wrestling to together, snuggling, and just enjoying each other's company. It's easy for him to make doggy friends and really enjoys having canine companions to wrestle and romp with. Mom isn't all play all the time either. So no need to worry about your home turning into a 24/7 doggy day care. After a good play session or fetch in the back yard, he's fully ready to lay to down and take a nap. Momo has also been around kids ages 7–10, including an autistic child and has done great with kids! He plays with enthusiasm, is full of personality, and has the best time playing with older kids. Older kids are a little more stable on their feet and can play his favorite game with him, which is fetch! Momo is a smarty pants too! He already knows commands like “sit” and would love to join you on daily walks to explore the world together. He is also crate trained and potty trained and has wonderful house manners. Speaking of exploring, Momo makes a great shotgun rider. So the possibilities are limitless on where you will go together! He often joins his foster family for trips to the local dog park, where he is able to show off his fetch skills in front of everyone. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, toy-tossing, and heartwarming companion, Momo is ready to bring his big personality to your home. His foster family told us that he is just so sweet and it took no time for them to fall in love with him. So, what do you say, are you ready to experience the Momo lovin’ life? We are willing to test Momo Sugar with anything you need to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Velvet ears, big warm eyes, gentle presence and seventy-two pounds of lap-dog aspirations. This is Zelda! Want to see this soft-hearted sweetheart in action? Head over to YouTube and then come right back to read about the girl who would happily build her whole world around her people. https://youtu.be/WL_6gRj-eoE Zelda is estimated to be about 1.5 years old, weighs 72 lbs, and looks to be a Lab/Pittie mix, though as always with rescue, breed and birthday are our best guess. What isn’t a guess? Her heart beats loudest for humans. In her foster home, she lives with children ages 3 and 7 and has proven herself to be patient, steady, and so very gentle. She’s the kind of dog who absorbs the chaos of kid-energy and answers it with softness. She also lives with other dogs, has a playful presence, loving a game of tug-o-war and happily shares her toys. Zelda doesn’t need another dog in the home to be her happiest though, her true joy comes from people. She will pick her person every single time. Her foster describes her as sensitive and sweet in the most endearing way. She is both house and crate trained and knows a handful of commands including sit, leave it, spin, and paw. We all agree her paw is the absolute cutest! With other dogs, she appreciates slow, respectful introductions and can feel unsure at first with pushy or excitable dogs,, especially on leash, but when given space and kind energy, she relaxes beautifully. Once she settles in she is just fine- she reads the room but undoubtedly thrives with easy-tempered, welcoming dogs who don’t overwhelm her. Think polite housemate over rowdy roommate. Zelda is more introvert than social butterfly. She’s thoughtful. Observant. A little insecure in brand new situations, but she gathers herself quickly. Confidence for her will grow in a steady, loving home that says, “You’re safe here,” and means it. Energy-wise, she’s medium to low and wonderfully quiet. Apartment living could absolutely suit her as long as her people are committed to walks, couch time, gentle structure, toys, and games of tug-o-war, repeat. If you’re looking for a dog who will choose you over the noise, over the distractions, over everything else… Zelda is ready to make that choice. Apply today to meet this velvet-eared loyalist: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/663a6f4fc9c0706e6c070d9a Questions? Story
Atari is the lover of all people, if he could be cuddled up, taking a nap all day with his humans he would be. He is a sweet lover boy and a total goofball. Atari is such a good boy he loved to get pet and cuddled with the whole time we spent with him. Atari is currently in a foster home with five other dogs and an amazing Foster who he loves so much. They cuddle up together and take naps all the time it’s Atari’s favorite thing to do. He also loves to play with toys. It’s when you really see the goof in him come out. Check out Attari’s video to see his goofy side https://youtu.be/Z_vJOzEkIF4?si=dPu4hfC1GKORkc3a Atari is a pitbull mix, around four years old, and 53 pounds. He is so handsome and loves to sleep curled up in a ball. It is adorable. Atari met a couple of our dogs today and did amazing meeting all of them. He didn’t play too much except for one of our very hyper male dogs. They played for a little and ran together. It was so adorable. He does play with his foster siblings and loves having fun rolling around with other dogs. Atari is really more of a people person, when all the other dogs were playing he was standing next to us waiting for pets or exploring the yard sniffing around. Atari would do great in a home with other dogs or by himself because he would so love to have all the cuddles to himself. Atari should not live in a home with cats. He finds them way too interesting and gets super excited meeting them, which is a little too much for cats. Atari has not yet been kid tested, but we do believe he would do great around kids. He does jump a quite bit, so preferably older kids that can stand their own ground. Atari is such a fun lover boy and is waiting for the perfect home. He could bring so much laughter, light and joy into a home. He just needs a chance. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
**Now fostered in Bothell, WA** Flynn is 8.5 months old, about 32 pounds, and fully committed to being the best boy ever. This Aussie/Pittie mix (our best rescue guess!) is rocking his velvet-soft white coat and adorable tan splotches — and trust us, he’s just as sweet as he looks. He’s likely to stay a perfect medium size, making him the ideal tag-along for all of life’s adventures. But let’s talk about one of Flynn’s BEST qualities… ✨ He is AMAZING with kids. ✨ Flynn is currently fostered with two children and is gentle, playful, and incredibly patient with them. He happily joins in on playtime, tolerates kid energy like a champ, and then curls up nearby like their loyal little shadow. He doesn’t get overwhelmed, doesn’t shy away — he genuinely enjoys being part of the fun. If you’re looking for a dog who will grow up alongside your children and be their buddy, Flynn checks that box beautifully. He also lives with multiple dogs (including his brother!) and does wonderfully — playful, social, and respectful. He loves a good romp, but when playtime is over, he’s all about the cuddles. Confident and easygoing, Flynn takes new experiences in stride. Halloween costumes? No big deal. Meeting Santa? Nailed it. Boat rides? Loved it. He even goes to work with his foster parents and is known for being an excellent coworker (mostly because he sleeps through meetings). The cherry on top? He is 100% potty trained and crate trained. He has a fantastic foundation and will absolutely thrive with a family excited to continue guiding him as he grows. An older dog sibling would be wonderful, but his biggest wish is simply to be included and loved. Flynn is that rare mix of playful, gentle, confident, and cuddly — especially with kids. He doesn’t just tolerate them… he shines with them. If your family has been waiting for a sweet, social, kid-loving best friend to add to your crew, Flynn is ready to come home. 💛 Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/687177267b039a084a06bfc6 Please email kathleen@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. We’ve even had many veterinarians adopt from us! Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. Your adoption fee goes beyond getting a fully vetted pet, it’s also a donation toward our mission of helping to solve the pet over-population crisis in TX. We know our dogs, and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30-day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8-week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7-year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
*Fostered in Port Angeles, WA* Fasten your seatbelts; this perfect little Jet is cleared for takeoff straight to your heart! Jet Travel is a mellow puppy who hopes to chill with his very own family soon. Jet is almost 9 months old and we believe he may be a Hound x Labrador Retriever mix. But like all rescue pups, his true breed makeup is a mystery and nowhere near as important as his sweet, loving nature. Watch Jet's video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa_NFtLG3Eg This smart boy has already learned to sit, lie down, and go into his kennel on command. He is very food motivated and clever, so training him is a delight! He is an absolute gentleman on a leash, never ever pulling, and he hopes you’ll let him stop and sniff along the way. A perfect mix of curiosity, thoughtfulness, and charm, Jet investigates everything and loves to explore the world around him. He takes correction beautifully; a simple “No” and he stops what he is doing. He just loves to be told he is a good boy! He eats up praise like peanut butter. Jet has been super quick at learning what things in the house are for chewing and what are not. Shoes are safe around this puppy, but bones and toys had better watch out! Raaaar. Jet has lived with teenage humans, puppies, and adult dogs. He gets along great with everyone! He loves to meet new people and get attention and pets from them. He is cautious about new situations and noises, gets courage from his loved ones, and is growing more confident every day. He takes lots of walks in his little city and courageously troops through the hustle and bustle, though he does prefer the quiet back streets and parks. He's a great hiking companion! He’s also beautifully behaved in the car – we forget he is even there. He loves to zoom around and wrestle with his foster siblings, chase pine cones and sticks in the yard, watch the neighborhood from his porch, or just chill out with everyone. This medium-low-energy boy takes lots of naps! And he is happy settling down and getting cozy with a good chew toy to work on. What he loves best is sharing the sofa with his person, leaning against them and sharing his warmth. Jet is still a baby and will need a family ready to guide him through puppyhood with: - Routine and structure - Socialization and positive experiences, so he continues to be a confident and happy pup -Jet would do best in a home with a yard- no apartments, townhomes/condos for this boy He would just love to attend puppy classes! He is sure to be a straight-A student. Jet is a sweet boy with his boarding pass in paw. He is just waiting for his perfect family to take him on the biggest and best adventure life can offer: his forever home! This easy-going, extremely well-behaved pup will make someone very lucky.
