Zennia is a social, affectionate girl with a big heart for people, play, and being included, especially if it means you're getting in the car! She loves car rides so much that when you walk toward a car, her whole body wiggles because she thinks it’s load-up-and-go time. This girl is confident and unbothered in the best possible way. This means her foster family has had a front-row seat to the Zennia show and they shared with us so much of what they have learned about her! The first thing is the best! When asked what would make Zennia the happiest in a forever home they enthusiastically said- “A yard and a playmate!” Zennia is a wonderful playmate and truly thrives with the opportunity to run and roughhouse with a playful dog daily. The other side of that is that once Zennia has had her run/play/chase time she is more than happy to come in and relax but she needs that outlet, so a home with a playful dog friend and a big yard where she can get her energy out would be a great fit. In Zennia is both house and crate trained and benefits from regular crating. Her crate is clearly a space of calm and she enjoys the permission to “turn-off”and truly relax. In the crate she is quiet, calm, no barking, and no accidents. When Zennia isn’t getting constant attention (like during work hours), she is able to self-regulate usually taking a nap or quietly hanging out with a stuffy in her mouth. Zennia has met and lived with a wide variety of dogs from older, dominant females to small scruffy easy-going guy. Her immediate love connections have all been with dogs that equally enjoy play and are unbothered by a little rough-and-rowdy play. Her two best playdate-pals are about her size, one goofy black lab male and a female pittie with a body-builders physique. Both she runs and wrestles with, taking breaks here and there to soak in the sun before returning to a game of chase or wrestling in the grass. Zennia has shown really lovely dog-social-skills. She is respectful of boundaries, accepts even frustrated corrections, and has shown she can share treats, toys, and affection without concern. When she is working in a group for a treat she does this hilarious thing where she paws at other dogs who aren’t doing their commands, like she’s saying, “Hurry up, dude!” It makes her foster laugh every time! Zennia has been around kids in the home ages 4-17 (including a 17-year-old with Down syndrome/autism) and she is great! A few times we could see that when kids were invited over, Zennia was fast- friends with the kids- truly gravitating to them for play and connection. In the home, she has been the kind of dog who wants to meet everyone, love everyone, and recruit every dog into her “let’s play right now” agenda. She is quiet when people arrive, no barking at the door, no barking when people come in, whether she’s met them before or not. Zennia loves meeting people and seems especially fond of men. In general, she has warmed up quickly to new adults and kids who have been introduced to her and she really shines when she gets time to meet and bond with people, loving baby talk and treats. One of Zennia’s funniest quirks is her kitchen manners, because she knows she’s not supposed to cross the kitchen line… but she’ll sit right at the edge with her head peeking in like an eager little sous chef. If she can sneak in, she will try, and yes, she will beg, but she does not jump on tables or snatch food out of anyone’s hands, even with kids running around with food in hand. Zennia has been confident and unbothered by the world around her. No fear of cars, no reactivity to people and she handls normal outside noises plus things like an electric scooter without issue. She walks easily on leash with minimal corrections needed. Zennia has lived with chickens and although she can live with them if they are enclosed, she cannot be unsupervised around chickens because she will pester and stalk them, and even if she doesn’t see them, the sound of them gets her excited. Zennia will also benefit from a cat-free home, her love of chase and play does not stop when it comes to feline friends and we all know, cats do not appreciate that. From the moment you meet Lentil Lou, one thing becomes very clear...life is simply more fun with her in it. This sweet, goofy girl has the joyful spirit of an oversized shepherd puppy, paired with a heart that seems to have endless love to give. Lentil Lou is incredibly social and greets the world with pure happiness, always ready to make a new friend whether they have two legs or four. She absolutely adores other dogs and lights up during playtime, bouncing around with playful enthusiasm and charming silliness that’s impossible not to smile at. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We do know that Lentil is as sweet as they come, and to add to her greatness, she is essentially a full-grown puppy with that adorable puppy face of hers. This little lady loves to love and adores every person she meets. The term stranger danger does not exist in her vocabulary. She is the definition of a social butterfly, and with her, you’ll have a bestie to explore with, a snuggly princess to binge-watch your favorite shows with, and the sole reason your camera roll will always be full. She has been around kids and has been nothing but gentle around young kids. We do believe that she would be happiest in a home with kids 12 and older. Lentil is very dog friendly and loves to make friends with other dogs. She has been around dogs with all different temperaments, from large dominant males to submissive quiet ladies, and her personal favorite… the playful party pups. Lentil loves to play with other dogs and has the best time romping around, wrestling, playing chase, sharing toys, and also enjoys simply hanging out. She’s not all about bringing the party vibes all the time; she appreciates downtime and relaxing at home with her new friends as well. Lentil would do great in a home with another playful dog like herself but can also be your one and only. She does not need the company of another dog to feel comfortable or open up. Lentil is a social butterfly by nature and would love to be the center of your world. Lentil is a smart gal too! She brings the brains to every training session. She is very treat motivated and eager to please. She already knows how to sit, and you can tell she is ready to learn it all just by the way she engages with her person. It’s actually pretty cute how much she wants to make you happy. You’ll see it in her video if you haven’t already. She walks fairly nicely on a leash and may pull occasionally out of excitement to go sniff something interesting or say hello to a friendly face. It’s easy to regain her focus, and she responds well to gentle reminders. Lentil is also comfortable tandem walking with other dogs. She is crate trained and potty trained too! With patience, consistency, and of course treats, training with Lentil will be a fun and rewarding bonding experience for you both. If you are ready to have a companion that gets so excited when you walk in the door that she simply can’t stand it, you just have to meet Tootsie. When her people get home, she instantly turns into the happiest wiggle monster. She has such a big heart and that is our favorite thing about her! She makes everyone feel so special with her ecstatic welcome! Her color, her fur, the way she plays… she simply is The Happiest-Hippo. She is likely a pittie/staffie mix of some sort but the truth is, both her age and breed are not something we can guarantee given she is a rescue. If she could, I am positive she would tell you she isn’t a day older than 3, followed by a perfect wink. Tootsie weighs 71 lbs, fully-grown so she is a large dog, a favorite for the best snuggles. What I love about her is that she has mature dog presence with the get-up-and-go of a 2 year old dog. It doesn’t take much for her to be ready to lay around either, so if you are looking for a house dog more than a fitness buddy, this is your girl! When it comes to going on adventures or outings, all you gotta do is say the word, grab the leash, and Toots is at the door with her social butterfly adventure cap on. She also loves to go on car rides and has earned the distinguished title of "perfect passenger princess." Toots likes riding with her head out the window for maximum sniffing and feeling that fresh air hit her cute squishy face. She really loves going on leisurely walks at the park and enjoys every second of it. She's never in a rush to get back home or go to the next place. She does great walking past kids, joggers, other dogs, and even the splash pad with all the action going on there with ease. Toots treats her walks like she's on her own personal sniffari LOL. She loves getting compliments from all of the from people at the park, soaking up all of the attention of course. Need to stop by your local coffee shop or even dog friendly thrift store to browse around, she's a dream even in places like that and is deemed a polite shopper. Toots also enjoys going to pet stores too and especially if you let her go where all the fish are so she can sit and watch them It's pretty cute the way she gets so mesmerized by the way the swim around. Be prepared for all of the workers to be fawning over her, giving her kisses and hugs. Oh, and treats of course. She also really likes watching the guinea pigs too! LOL she's just a curious happy hippo. After a full day (or even half day) of adventures, Toots is going to be soooo sleepy. She'll give you night night kisses, and then sprawl out in the back seat for her nap. Can you picture life with tootsie yet? Because I can— and it seems fabulous. My heart can’t take it!! Toots has a few non-negotiables she is looking for in forever home- booty scratches and treats. This is the fast-track to her heart. Offer her a treat and she will show off her perfect sit, followed by a gentle shake. Such a lady. But if you hold a treat too long after she knows she is due one you will hear her voice. She isn’t loud, just chatty, a little grumbly rumble mixed with a small bark. Truth is she uses that voice to make a connection with her people, and we love her little woowoos. When it comes to defining her ideal home, this voice of hers means she needs a house. Apartment life with its shared walls is no place for a girl like Toots. Plus, she needs a little yard for those zoomie sessions. Toots is great with kids, unbothered by the noise and bounciness of a 4 year old. She was calm, polite and gave him gentle kisses…then sneakily and so cutely, walked off with a stuffie toy he had. She loves toys as much as little kids do, and we all know littles leave a trail of toys around the house, so a home with older kids would be best for her. No trail of toys to sneak off with and no tears from a mistaken toy moment. Perfect! Tootsie is very people friendly and will pull a bit on-leash if she sees someone she loves. Other than that, this girl has some good leash manners, she’s just full of love! When introduced to a new dog on leash she was polite and indifferent. Once she realized she was meeting a new playmate it was a different story- she got her doggie greeting sniffs out of the way and immediately wanted to play. She showed off for him a bit with an amazing zoom session and then they were off to play. Her play style is what we call rough and rowdy, it is all in good fun but is a detail that is important when matching her with a doggie companion. Not all dogs enjoy that style of play and although she enjoys a round of chase, her ideal match would be a medium energy, playful male, who loves physical play and also appreciates those calmer moments as well. Toots would also be just as happy being the center of your world too and does not need another dog in the home to keep her company or help her feel comfortable to fully be her goofy loving self. **Now fostered in Bothell, WA** Flynn is 8.5 months old, about 32 pounds, and fully committed to being the best boy ever. This Aussie/Pittie mix (our best rescue guess!) is rocking his velvet-soft white coat and adorable tan splotches — and trust us, he’s just as sweet as he looks. He’s likely to stay a perfect medium size, making him the ideal tag-along for all of life’s adventures. But let’s talk about one of Flynn’s BEST qualities… ✨ He is AMAZING with kids. ✨ Flynn is currently fostered with two children and is gentle, playful, and incredibly patient with them. He happily joins in on playtime, tolerates kid energy like a champ, and then curls up nearby like their loyal little shadow. He doesn’t get overwhelmed, doesn’t shy away — he genuinely enjoys being part of the fun. If you’re looking for a dog who will grow up alongside your children and be their buddy, Flynn checks that box beautifully. He also lives with multiple dogs (including his brother!) and does wonderfully — playful, social, and respectful. He loves a good romp, but when playtime is over, he’s all about the cuddles. Confident and easygoing, Flynn takes new experiences in stride. Halloween costumes? No big deal. Meeting Santa? Nailed it. Boat rides? Loved it. He even goes to work with his foster parents and is known for being an excellent coworker (mostly because he sleeps through meetings). The cherry on top? He is 100% potty trained and crate trained. He has a fantastic foundation and will absolutely thrive with a family excited to continue guiding him as he grows.
