Story
Say hello to Mama Sasha, a lovable, playful 1.5 year old girl who's ready to be the heart of her new family! Sasha is as friendly as they come and is ready to befriend anyone she meets! She’s wonderful with kids—gentle, patient, and always up for playtime or a cuddle on the couch. She’s also a social butterfly with other dogs, big or small, and would fit right into a home with canine siblings. She is being fostered with both large and small dogs and she would love to have another playful dog in her new home! Sasha is an easygoing travel buddy—great in the car and eager to tag along on any adventure. Whether it’s a trip to a coffee shop, a hike, or an afternoon at the dog park, Sasha is curious, confident, and excited to explore the world by your side. Sasha is well behaved and knows house manners. She is potty trained, crate trained, knows "sit," and seems eager to learn more commands. She seems to look to her people and doggie friends for direction sometimes and takes correction and cues from people and other dogs very well! This happy girl is full of life and love. Whether you're out on an adventure or hanging out at home, Sasha will be right by your side, tail wagging and ready to love! The adoption process consists of an application, reference checks, phone interview, and video chat with the pet and foster parent! The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, DHPP and booster, and Bordatella), microchip with free lifetime registration, deworming, transport, heartworm test, heartworm and flea prevention during the pet's time in our program as well as 2 free months of heartworm and flea prevention to be sent in their adoption packet! We are volunteers with a passion to reduce the stray population and unnecessary euthanasia in South Texas. According to Shelter Animals Count, an almost 100,000 cats and dogs were euthanized in Texas shelters in 2024. By transporting our adoptable pets to areas with fewer unwanted pets, they have a better chance of quickly finding loving homes, while also freeing up space in Texas shelters and giving more local animals a chance at life. If you are interested in more information about this pet or our organization, please email us at DreamingOfFurever@gmail.com.

*** Bluey is NOT in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes. We are simply assisting his current owner with rehoming him at no fault of his own. If you are interested in Bluey, please fill out an application at https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform *** Bluey 11 months old • Blue Heeler / German Shepherd mix Bluey is a playful, energetic pup who loves to chase anything you throw—balls, sticks, you name it! He’s affectionate and always up for belly rubs and attention. Bluey has done well with people and kids, though he hasn’t had much interaction with other animals yet. He’s a healthy young dog to the best of our knowledge, with no known medical or behavioral issues. His previous medical records were misplaced, but we’re working on retrieving them from his former vet. Bluey deserves a home where he can get the time, attention, and activity he loves.

Story
Bella is a sweet 9-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love. She came to Happy Tails Happy Homes under heartbreaking circumstances—her beloved owner had to enter hospice care suddenly, and no one in his family was able to take her in. It broke his heart to say goodbye. Our mission now is to honor his love for her by finding Bella the perfect forever home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by care and compassion. Bella has diabetes, but don’t let that scare you—she is a champ at receiving her insulin and follows her routine like a pro. She requires insulin twice a day along with a specialized diet, and her total monthly care costs are approximately $75–$100. To help her transition into a new home, *Happy Tails Happy Homes* will cover the cost of her insulin and food for the first **six months**. Bella adores people and just wants to be by your side, cuddling up and sharing all the love she has to give. She enjoys car rides, walks nicely on a leash, and loves to be included in whatever you’re doing. She has shown to do well with cats and currently lives with four other dogs in her foster home. Bella gets along with all her foster siblings, but she prefers a calm and respectful environment. She does not enjoy rowdy play or dogs who get in her face—if pushed, she will growl, bark, or air snap to ask for space. She’s not aggressive, just setting boundaries. Bella responds well to verbal redirection and listens when told “no.” If you're ready to open your heart to a loyal senior companion and give Bella the peaceful retirement she deserves, please fill out an application at [happytailshappyhomes.org](http://happytailshappyhomes.org) under the "Adopt" tab.

Story
Hello everyone! My name is Rose, and I am an adorable pitty mix with a lot of love to give. I am an athletic dog with lots of energy. I love to run and play, but I also love to cuddle up with my favorite humans. I am an affectionate girl who just wants someone to love me for who I am. Unfortunately I am dog selective so I would do best in a home where I am the only dog. But that just means all the love and attention will be for you! I am an adult dog, but I still have lots of playful puppy energy. I am crate trained and house trained. I can't wait to find my forever home and have a fresh start. If you think that could be with you, please come and meet me today! If you are interested in giving the loving home that Rose deserves please fill out an application at Happytailshappyhomes.org under the adopt tab.

Story
Charlie’s life was turned upside down when his family had to move but couldn’t bring him with. This sensitive, calm boy is a 9yr old love bug! He is a great size only weighing 45 lbs. He enjoys long walks and does very well on the leash but his favorite place is cuddled up with his people. He thrives with other dogs and would do very well with a furry companion in the home. He has been attending Furever Friends doggy daycare and he would be happy if his new people could continue to take him there. Charlie knows basic commands like sit, down and come. He listens well and is eager to please. He is crate and e collar trained. If you are looking for a well behaved family member who’s already trained, Charlie is your guy!
