Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. Story
Diesel here, reporting for duty as your loyal shadow, fetch partner, slightly over-sized lap-dog, and the reason fore everyday laughs. Now Diesel’s name might give you visions of some high-octane, need-for-speed boy but please know that he is far from it. This Diesel has mini-zoomies, is toy-tossing, and is a people-loving pittie mix who’s always ready to spread his contagious happiness. We cannot guarantee it given he is a rescue but we believe Diesel is about 1.5 years old and he weighs 42 pounds, really a perfect medium, to-go size boy. Take a look then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/iVVpWAkEMlY My favorite thing about Diesel is the way he plays with toys! I don’t think there is a toy he doesn’t like. Whether its a stuffy or a bouncy ball, we is going to light up, bounce around, ask if you want to play fetch and then go throw the toy for himself. Right after that he will run to the toy basket, pick out another toy and start the cycle all over again. He is quiet and mindful of the space but it is still hard not to stop what you are doing just to watch him be so cute and happy. Simply, he is the perfect mix of playful energy and sweet affection. Diesel is young and active, and we believe he would be happiest in a home with a yard where he can zoom, toss toys in the air, and play fetch until his heart’s content. With an active life including regular adventures and play sessions, he could be an apartment boy but a home with a yard would be best. On leash, Diesel has great basic leash skills and shines when walking in an area without distraction, keeping an easy, steady pace is steady and showing great manners meeting new people. Diesels foster shared that when passing other dogs, he can get excited and occasionally bark. We did not see that during our afternoon with him but he was so receptive to gentle corrections and boundaries that we feel confident he will learn quickly once it is established what is expected. He’s social, outgoing, and adores people-he’ll happily climb into your lap for cuddles after a good play session. Diesel is dog-friendly and has a bouncy play style and can easily match a “rough and rowdy” player. He will thrive with a confident, playful female dog who can match his energy and handle his bouncy style. A more submissive dog could feel overwhelmed by his friendly and playful approach so we are looking for the right canine sibling fit but he could easily your one-and-only. Cats, however, Diesel would love to play chase with them so no feline friends in the home for him. Diesel is fostered in a loving home where he is learning and practicing all the best house manners. His foster shared that he is both crate and house-trained, and settles down nicely overnight, with only occasional moments of whining before relaxing for the evening. He’s full of enthusiasm, loves dinnertime, and will keep you smiling with his goofy, floppy ears and toy-flinging antics. Diesel is still young so he will need an adopter that is active and can give him on-going training, structure, playtime, and all the love he craves. In return, you are going to get an adoring, happy-go-lucky boy to welcome you home each day. Ready to welcome Diesel into your life? Story
Meet Layla! Layla is a stunning 5-year-old pup with a gorgeous, light brown coat, big, upright ears that practically demand ear scratches, and a heart full of love, just waiting for the right family. We think she might be a Shepherd-Pitty mix, but with rescue, it’s always a guess—but one thing is certain: she’s one of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet. Layla is a little shy at first, and she takes her time warming up to new people. But the magic happens when she finds someone she trusts—her tail wags, her eyes sparkle, and she showers that person with quiet, devoted affection. Her foster has proven that with a little patience and love, Layla will absolutely learn to trust and adore her humans. She’s a gentle soul, the kind of dog who will curl up next to you, soak up pets, and quietly remind you that love doesn’t always need words. Watch Layla's video here! https://youtu.be/pW-QJCJeCdQ?si=KWjQeIElowbdL5Em Here’s the best part about Layla: she is an absolute doggy superstar. Her tail wags the second she sees her four-legged friends, and she thrives when she has a dog companion to hang out with. She’s social, friendly, and polite—Layla loves her canine family and will happily spend hours snuggling, chilling, or just walking side by side with her doggy buddy. A calm, aloof male dog in her forever home would be ideal, someone who can help her feel safe and confident, and give her the friendship she adores. She’s not looking for a playmate for zoomies—she’s looking for a bestie for life. Layla is also cat-tolerant, giving kitties her polite bubble of space while still coexisting peacefully. So if your kitty minds their business, Layla will do the same! And when it comes to kids, she’d probably do best with older children—around 8 and up—because of her sensitivity to new people and touch. That said, if your household has kiddos, a kid test is easy enough, so just let us know; Layla just wants everyone to move at her pace. This gentle girl is happiest in a home where she can decompress, feel safe, and let her personality shine at her own pace. She may need a little leash confidence in new places before apartment life is fully comfortable, but once she’s settled, she’ll be a quiet, loving companion anywhere. Layla’s perfect family is one that will understand her gentle, sensitive nature and give her the time she needs to trust new people. She absolutely needs a dog friend to share her life with—her happiness depends on having a fellow pup to lean on. She’ll do beautifully in a calm home with older kids or adults who love slow snuggles, soft pets, and peaceful companionship. Layla is the ultimate gentle soul—sweet, loyal, and ridiculously dog-friendly. She may take her time to warm up, but when she does, she will shower her family with quiet love and her amazing canine devotion. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will become your heart-melting, tail-wagging shadow, Layla is ready to steal your heart. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Shana Grace (Gracie)! Shana Grace is an absolute doll—she has the most beautiful black and brown brindle coat, the softest puppy-dog eyes, and the cutest floppy ears that bounce when she walks! At around 4 years old, she’s ready to bring calm, love, and snuggles into her forever home. Gracie is believed to be a Lab / Plott Hound mix—but since she’s a rescue, we can’t make any promises. What we can promise is that she’s 100% adorable and 110% lovebug. See her sweet smile in her video! https://youtu.be/dlxCw5G0JmQ?feature=shared Gracie is a total couch potato princess. Her perfect day is a slow stroll in the yard, a cozy nap in a sunny spot, and then curling up right beside you for cuddles. She’s house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys peaceful car rides where she can watch the world go by. She’s affectionate without being demanding, and she will happily give kisses to her foster sister—or to anyone she trusts. Gracie is a gentle, calm soul. She can be a little shy when meeting new dogs, but once she feels comfortable, she’s happy to relax nearby or slowly join in play on her terms. She has been around children and teenagers, and with her mellow temperament, she would likely be amazing with kids. She’s patient, gentle, and sweet, making her a perfect companion for a family who wants a calm, loving pup by their side. When it comes to cats, Gracie’s cat test was a little inconclusive because she was distracted and curious about everything else going on in the room. She did not show any signs of aggression, but until we can do a more thorough test, we just don’t know for sure. If you think Gracie might be the one for your family, reach out to us, and we can explore her cat compatibility further—she may surprise you! Gracie isn’t much into toys yet, but she’s highly treat-motivated, which makes her a wonderful learner. She’s likely to pick up new tricks quickly, especially with a patient and loving family. With her calm, low-energy personality, she’d thrive in either an apartment or a home with a yard where she can sunbathe, relax, and enjoy life at her own pace. Shana Grace truly has an “old soul” charm—she’s sweet, gentle, and endlessly loving. If you’re looking for a loyal, calm, and affectionate companion who will shower you with love, quietly join you in every part of your day, and melt your heart with her floppy-eared sweetness, Gracie is your girl. She’s ready to find her forever home and be the loving best friend you’ve been waiting for. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Pixie People Lover! Pixie is a little under three years old and is believed to be a Pit Bull / Bull Terrier–type mix (rescue mystery, of course). What she is without question is adorable, affectionate, and absolutely full of life. She’s got the cutest floppy ears ever, one spotted, one solid, that fold and bounce depending on her mood, a tiny curl at the end of her tail with a little white tip, and that big ol’ pittie smile that makes it impossible not to grin back at her. Pixie is truly joy on legs. Pixie loves people. Like, really loves them. She’s the kind of dog who happily walks right up to say hi, asks for pets, leans in for cuddles, and wants to be near her humans as much as possible. Booty scratches? Yes please. Couch naps? Her favorite. Hugs? Absolutely. She’s social, affectionate, and would do great in a home that enjoys having visitors because Pixie thinks everyone is her friend. Watch her video to see her personality shine! https://youtu.be/15TuxlnM6Vk?si=AkN2gDONgRJWZzqk When it comes to playtime, Pixie is all in. Toys are her jam — stuffies, balls, tug toys, chew toys… she loves them all. She’ll play fetch with you, tug like a champ, or zoom around the yard entertaining herself when the mood strikes. She’s got a fun, bouncy energy but also knows how to settle and enjoy a good, long nap once she’s had her outlets. Pixie walks nicely on a gentle leader, which helps her stay grounded when exciting things pop up on walks. She can get a little amped at first (maybe sharing a few words with other pups on walks across the street), but she learns quickly and continues to improve as she works on checking in with her handler and staying focused. She enjoys being active and does best with regular exercise and a bit of structure, it helps her shine! She even went to a board and train where she made leaps and bounds going on pack walks and learning to stay neutral! Dog-wise, Pixie is selective. She can be playful with certain goofy, easygoing dogs and enjoys social time in the right settings, but she doesn’t want to share her home. Pixie would be happiest as your one-and-only pup, soaking up all the attention and not having to worry about managing other dogs full-time. And no kitties for this girl, way too tiny and fun to chase! Pixie has not officially been kid tested or been around kids much! So for now we’re guessing she’d be happiest with 10 and up! However with her people loving nature, we assume she’d be an amazing family dog! Pixie is looking for a rural home (no busy city life) with an experienced, confident handler who enjoys being involved, going on walks, and continuing her training in a positive, structured way. She’d love a yard to zoom in, a couch to nap on, and humans who want a loyal shadow with a big heart and a silly streak. Pixie thrives on companionship and connection and would be happiest in a home where she’s included in daily life and never feels like she’s missing out. The more time you’re home to spoil her, the better!! Pixie is not a “plug-and-play” dog — she’s a relationship dog. The kind who bonds deeply, loves hard, makes you laugh, and fills your home with warmth. For the right person, Pixie won’t just be a pet… she’ll be your best friend. 💗 Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
If you’ve been searching for a built-in best friend and the world’s finest couch companion, look no further, Tom is your guy! At around 5 years old, he’s reached the perfect age: old enough to know the house rules and young enough to still be goofy, playful, and full of love. With his handsome salt-and-pepper face and the softest fur you’ll ever bury your hands in, Tom is the kind of dog who just keeps getting more charming by the day. Tom is a pro snuggler and a certified cuddle bug. His favorite hobbies include leaning his whole body into you, carrying around his favorite toys (especially stuffies!), and making sure your couch never feels lonely. He loves his people deeply, if you want a dog who will choose to be right by your side, Tom is your man. Tom recently enjoyed a full day out with our Director of Behavior and his personality absolutely shined from start to finish. His very first interaction was with her 5-year-old boy and her 3-year-old autistic little girl and Tom handled it beautifully. He rode great in the car with the kids, taking everything in stride like a seasoned family dog. Loading into the car did require a bit of help, which turned into a comical moment everyone enjoyed. Tom may not be the most agile dog in the world, but what he lacks in athleticism, he more than makes up for in affection. Once settled, he was calm, content, and ready for adventure. Throughout the day, Tom met many new people — and every single interaction seemed like love at first sight. He immediately melted into arms and laps, rolling onto his back to ask for affection in his signature way. Several people even asked if his name was Teddy Bear, which would certainly fit given his thick coat, soft fur, and constant smile. Tom also visited the vet during his outing and was fantastic. He greeted the vet with affection, calmly accepted handling, and showed no interest in pulling toward other dogs walking into the clinic. He remained relaxed, polite, and people-focused the entire time. With the children, Tom was excited, joyful, and full of love. He showed particular enthusiasm with the 5-year-old, matching his energy and soaking up attention. With the 3-year-old, he was noticeably more mindful and gentler. Even when she made high-pitched cries, Tom remained completely unbothered. We couldn’t help but wonder if he was especially in tune with her behaviors and emotions. One of the most entertaining moments of the day came when Tom spotted his reflection in a mirror. Believing he had discovered a new dog friend, he had a brief but hilarious standoff - a bark, a stare, and then the realization that it was just himself. Once he figured it out, he promptly lost interest. We get it, Tom… mirrors can be scary lol Tom’s loving nature doesn’t stop there, he also attended doggy daycare and did fantastic. The staff couldn’t say enough good things about him and sent us this message afterward: “We love having Tom! He is the most loving, happy boy.” 🎥 Watch Tom’s personality shine in his video! https://youtu.be/YgYWbRTraE4?si=0wgads_zaaYXEZrM With dog friends, Tom is a respectful and thoughtful guy. He prefers calm or medium-energy buddies and takes his time getting to know new pups. Once he’s comfortable, he can absolutely be playful — he may even let out a few silly vocalizations to show he’s having fun! He could also happily thrive as the only prince of the household. Cats, however, are a firm “no thank you” from Tom, he has made his stance on felines very clear. 😅 Tom has lived in a home and is potty-trained. He’s got good manners but would love a family willing to help him continue his leash-walking skills so he can strut confidently on all his future adventures. Because he’s calm and people-oriented, Tom is a great candidate for apartment living if you are able to continue the leash work our behavior team has worked on! Tom was fostered with an elderly couple in their early 90’s. They adore him and were grateful for the experience of bringing their first large foster dog home! Tom is the whole package: loving, handsome, loyal, and ready for his new beginning. All he needs is someone to love him right back. Could that be you?
