Story
Zennia is a social, affectionate girl with a big heart for people, play, and being included, especially if it means you're getting in the car! She loves car rides so much that when you walk toward a car, her whole body wiggles because she thinks it’s load-up-and-go time. This girl is confident and unbothered in the best possible way. Want to see Zennia in action? Head to YouTube https://youtu.be/g3B0YWMizPw Zennia is so fortunate and has been living in a loving foster home which she waits for her forever family. This means her foster family has had a front-row seat to the Zennia show and they shared with us so much of what they have learned about her! The first thing is the best! When asked what would make Zennia the happiest in a forever home they enthusiastically said- “A yard and a playmate!” Zennia is a wonderful playmate and truly thrives with the opportunity to run and roughhouse with a playful dog daily. The other side of that is that once Zennia has had her run/play/chase time she is more than happy to come in and relax but she needs that outlet, so a home with a playful dog friend and a big yard where she can get her energy out would be a great fit. In Zennia is both house and crate trained and benefits from regular crating. Her crate is clearly a space of calm and she enjoys the permission to “turn-off”and truly relax. In the crate she is quiet, calm, no barking, and no accidents. When Zennia isn’t getting constant attention (like during work hours), she is able to self-regulate usually taking a nap or quietly hanging out with a stuffy in her mouth. Zennia has met and lived with a wide variety of dogs from older, dominant females to small scruffy easy-going guy. Her immediate love connections have all been with dogs that equally enjoy play and are unbothered by a little rough-and-rowdy play. Her two best playdate-pals are about her size, one goofy black lab male and a female pittie with a body-builders physique. Both she runs and wrestles with, taking breaks here and there to soak in the sun before returning to a game of chase or wrestling in the grass. Zennia has shown really lovely dog-social-skills. She is respectful of boundaries, accepts even frustrated corrections, and has shown she can share treats, toys, and affection without concern. When she is working in a group for a treat she does this hilarious thing where she paws at other dogs who aren’t doing their commands, like she’s saying, “Hurry up, dude!” It makes her foster laugh every time! Zennia has been around kids in the home ages 4-17 (including a 17-year-old with Down syndrome/autism) and she is great! A few times we could see that when kids were invited over, Zennia was fast- friends with the kids- truly gravitating to them for play and connection. In the home, she has been the kind of dog who wants to meet everyone, love everyone, and recruit every dog into her “let’s play right now” agenda. She is quiet when people arrive, no barking at the door, no barking when people come in, whether she’s met them before or not. Zennia loves meeting people and seems especially fond of men. In general, she has warmed up quickly to new adults and kids who have been introduced to her and she really shines when she gets time to meet and bond with people, loving baby talk and treats. One of Zennia’s funniest quirks is her kitchen manners, because she knows she’s not supposed to cross the kitchen line… but she’ll sit right at the edge with her head peeking in like an eager little sous chef. If she can sneak in, she will try, and yes, she will beg, but she does not jump on tables or snatch food out of anyone’s hands, even with kids running around with food in hand. Zennia has been confident and unbothered by the world around her. No fear of cars, no reactivity to people and she handls normal outside noises plus things like an electric scooter without issue. She walks easily on leash with minimal corrections needed. Zennia has lived with chickens and although she can live with them if they are enclosed, she cannot be unsupervised around chickens because she will pester and stalk them, and even if she doesn’t see them, the sound of them gets her excited. Zennia will also benefit from a cat-free home, her love of chase and play does not stop when it comes to feline friends and we all know, cats do not appreciate that. If you’re looking for a dog who loves people, loves playtime,, rides shot-gun like a champ, and just needs the right combo of structure and outlets to settle into her best self, Zennia is ready and waiting to come home! Story
Searching for a personal assistant who doesn't take notes, but does take naps? Meet Hanky: He is the ultimate definition of a velcro dog. If there were a map of your house, his favorite destination would be Right Next To You. He’s a sensitive soul who prefers a cozy hangout session over a wild party, making him the perfect companion for anyone who loves a quiet afternoon and a loyal sidekick. Wait until you see those puppy dog eyes in action Watch Hanky’s adoption video! https://youtu.be/7fFX-GAgDW8 What exactly is Hanky Pank ? While we’d love to check his family tree, as with any rescue, we’re mostly making an educated (and very cute) guess! He’s 67 lbs of pure adoration, with a heart that’s clearly much larger than his frame. Think of him as a premium, fur-covered weighted blanket that’s always ready for a snuggle. Hanky is currently flourishing in a foster home where he’s learning that the world is a pretty great place. He is a true gentleman who treats every interaction with a quiet, polite grace. When you offer him a snack, he takes it with the gentlest of touches, often following it up with a soft thank you kiss that will absolutely melt your heart. When it comes to making four legged friends, Hanky is all about the slow and steady approach. He’s a polite soul who gets along with everyone from tiny pups to big companions his own size. Hanky Pank isn’t the let’s wrestle type, he’s much more of a quiet co-exist. He prefers friends who share his chill vibe and appreciate the finer things in life, like a long nap in a patch of sunlight. He’d be a wonderful brother to a calm resident dog, but he’s also perfectly content to be your one and only and soak up all the attention for himself. Whether he’s part of a pack or your solo sidekick, Hanky just wants everyone to feel as relaxed as he is. Whether your pack includes other four legged friends or just a few favorite humans, Hanky is officially ready to move in and make himself at home. If you have a spot on the floor and an even bigger spot in your heart Hanky is ready to be your most loyal sidekick for life. What about feline roommates? While Hanky is a world-class lover, he’s decided that he’d prefer a feline free sanctuary. He is looking for a home where he can be the star of the show without any cat. Hanky’s dream home is a peaceful sanctuary where he can be the center of your world. While he’d love a yard to sniff around in, his calm demeanor makes him perfectly suited for apartment living as long as he has his favorite human nearby. There is something deeply special about winning Hanky’s heart: once he knows he’s home, he becomes a total tail wagging machine the very moment you walk through the door, greeting you with a rhythm that says, I’m so glad you’re back. It’s a sweet, soulful welcome that reminds you every single day just how much you are loved. In every way that matters, Hanky is a soulful, gentle, and incredibly loyal friend who is simply looking for a soft place to land and a person to call his own. He is a low gear guy with high quality love to give the kind of companion who doesn't need much more than your presence to be perfectly happy. Ready to bring this sweet shadow home? Story
From the moment you meet Lentil Lou, one thing becomes very clear...life is simply more fun with her in it. This sweet, goofy girl has the joyful spirit of an oversized shepherd puppy, paired with a heart that seems to have endless love to give. Lentil Lou is incredibly social and greets the world with pure happiness, always ready to make a new friend whether they have two legs or four. She absolutely adores other dogs and lights up during playtime, bouncing around with playful enthusiasm and charming silliness that’s impossible not to smile at. Equal parts cuddly sweetheart and playful goofball, Lentil Lou brings laughter, affection, and nonstop cuteness wherever she goes. If you’ve been looking for a dog who will fill your days with fun, companionship, and a whole lot of love, Lentil Lou might just be your perfect match. Watch her video and you'll be smitten by her: https://youtu.be/xErEmx2U-Is?si=fBol9-3XA2TNA5Ej Lentil Lou is believed to be a German Shepherd mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 48 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We do know that Lentil is as sweet as they come, and to add to her greatness, she is essentially a full-grown puppy with that adorable puppy face of hers. This little lady loves to love and adores every person she meets. The term stranger danger does not exist in her vocabulary. She is the definition of a social butterfly, and with her, you’ll have a bestie to explore with, a snuggly princess to binge-watch your favorite shows with, and the sole reason your camera roll will always be full. She has been around kids and has been nothing but gentle around young kids. We do believe that she would be happiest in a home with kids 12 and older. Lentil is very dog friendly and loves to make friends with other dogs. She has been around dogs with all different temperaments, from large dominant males to submissive quiet ladies, and her personal favorite… the playful party pups. Lentil loves to play with other dogs and has the best time romping around, wrestling, playing chase, sharing toys, and also enjoys simply hanging out. She’s not all about bringing the party vibes all the time; she appreciates downtime and relaxing at home with her new friends as well. Lentil would do great in a home with another playful dog like herself but can also be your one and only. She does not need the company of another dog to feel comfortable or open up. Lentil is a social butterfly by nature and would love to be the center of your world. Lentil is a smart gal too! She brings the brains to every training session. She is very treat motivated and eager to please. She already knows how to sit, and you can tell she is ready to learn it all just by the way she engages with her person. It’s actually pretty cute how much she wants to make you happy. You’ll see it in her video if you haven’t already. She walks fairly nicely on a leash and may pull occasionally out of excitement to go sniff something interesting or say hello to a friendly face. It’s easy to regain her focus, and she responds well to gentle reminders. Lentil is also comfortable tandem walking with other dogs. She is crate trained and potty trained too! With patience, consistency, and of course treats, training with Lentil will be a fun and rewarding bonding experience for you both. Lentil would thrive in a home with a semi-active family that enjoys neighborhood walks and is looking for a super affectionate girl. If you’re someone who loves to host and have people over, Lentil will be the very first one to greet your guests. Not feeling especially social one day? That’s perfectly fine by Lentil, she’ll be happiest wherever you are. She would also make an amazing adventure buddy! Take her to the park, explore nature trails, go on outings, visit your local brewery or beach, and watch her win hearts and gather adoring fans everywhere she goes. We believe Lentil would thrive in a home with a backyard where she can stretch her legs, soak up the sunshine, and happily meander alongside you while you garden or work around the yard. We are willing to test Lentil Lou with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Freckles across his nose, a little black “Batman mask,” happy tippy-taps when he’s excited, and a heart that clearly wants to belong… this is Holliday. Equal parts goofy charm and affectionate shadow, Holliday is the kind of dog who leans all the way into love. His biggest dream? A couch, a person, and permission to pretend he’s a lap dog. Want to see those adorable tippy taps and that little masked face in action? Head over to YouTube and then come right back to learn more about the boy who believes every good day should include affection, snacks, and a welcoming lap to climb into. https://youtu.be/lPFbycVn8XA Holliday is estimated to be about 2 years old and appears to be a Border Collie mix but given he is a rescue, breed and birthday cannot be guaranteed. From the moment you meet him, Holliday’s affectionate nature is easy to see. He absolutely lights up when people give him attention and has a charming little habit of doing “tippy taps” with his feet when he’s happy or excited. It’s the kind of happy motion that makes everyone around him smile whether they are meeting for the first time or its a familiar connection. And inside its only sweeter, he is affectionate and his aspirations for lap-dog life really shine. Holliday is more than happy to make the first move and will come in close to soak up the love and lean in for a new nestling nose kisses. He is still learning some of the everyday things that come with the cozy life as a family dog. For example, couches were a new concept to him. When invited up, he wasn’t quite sure how to get there at first and needed a little boost. Moments like that tell us he’s likely still discovering what a comfortable home life looks like. The good news is that he’s eager to connect with people, smart and very responsive to guidance, which makes him a wonderful boy to open your heart and home to. On leash, Holliday is enthusiastic and currently pulls a bit, especially when he sees other dogs he’d like to meet. Much of his life before rescue life was spent on a very short leash outdoors so the world is understandably very exciting to him right now. With a confident understanding handler he has been making great progress with continued leash training. He is also very responsive to direction, correction, and listens well when told “no.” With other dogs, Holliday shows friendly curiosity. When meeting dogs he likes to sniff hello and then wander off to explore the yard. Play is still a bit of a mystery to him, but with the right dog companion we have seen he learns quickly and is easily invited to play even if she doesn’t know the steps after that. When meeting new dogs he reads them well and respects boundaries and limits easily. We can see him being a wonderful fit for a home with medium-energy, similarly sized dogs. Holliday is also very food motivated, which is wonderful for training. He eats enthusiastically and takes treats gently. Because Holliday can be a little jumpy, which he is working on, when he’s excited to receive affection, we think he’ll do best in a home with older kids who won’t be knocked over by his enthusiastic greetings. His affection truly comes from a joyful place and is gentle, not rough or heavy footed. He just hasn’t quite learned yet that hugs don’t always have to involve all four feet leaving the ground, but some people do enjoy those big, warm dog hugs. A home with a yard would be ideal for Holliday while he continues building his leash skills, giving him space to stretch his legs and explore safely. With time, guidance, and a loving environment, we think this freckled little masked hero is going to blossom into a wonderful, lap-loving, whole-new-world companion and sidekick. If you’re looking for a dog who will greet you with tippy taps, shower you with affection, and happily grow alongside you as he learns what family life is all about, Holliday is your guy! Story
Leonardo is a happy, confident little guy with a big puppy personality and an even bigger love for playtime. This handsome Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pitbull mix is around three months old and already showing what a fun and joyful companion he will become. Before anything else, you should definitely check out their video: https://youtu.be/J-CijmQWwyA?si=ktlOgEK9YNi9Of5m Seeing them in action really captures just how adorable and entertaining these pups are. Leonardo is very, very extremely playful and absolutely loves to wrestle, chase, and tumble around with his siblings. They actually play pretty rough with each other while they’re having fun, so they need to go with owners who will be good and ready to guide them as they grow up. Leonardo is the type of puppy who makes every moment more exciting. If there’s a toy across the room, he’s sprinting toward it. If his siblings start a wrestling match, he’s happily joining in. His energy is joyful and contagious, and it’s hard not to laugh watching him bounce around. He also has a very sweet and affectionate side. When the excitement settles, Leonardo enjoys being close to people and soaking up attention. He’s the kind of dog who will grow up wanting to be part of whatever his family is doing. Leonardo would thrive in a home ready for puppy adventures, laughter, and lots of playtime as he grows into a loyal and loving companion. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Gracie – the little sweetheart who seems to have already mastered the art of being the perfect puppy. At just around three months old, Gracie is the kind of dog who makes people instantly smile the moment they meet her. She has the sweetest, gentlest personality and such a calm, loving way about her that you can’t help but fall in love. Some puppies are wild and chaotic, but Gracie has this wonderful balance where she can be playful and happy, and then happily settle down right next to you for cuddles. She truly has the kind of personality that makes life with a puppy feel extra special. Watch her YouTube video now https://youtu.be/lJ_yKTmHSII?si=-z-BdOc05DMAXSgv Gracie is currently living in a foster home with multiple other animals, and she is absolutely thriving. She has been doing such a wonderful job adjusting to home life and learning all about the world around her. She gets along beautifully with everyone she meets and seems to genuinely enjoy being around both people and other animals. She’s the kind of puppy who fits right in, happily joining whatever is going on—whether that’s playtime with furry friends or relaxing near her people. One of the best things about Gracie is just how sweet and gentle she is. She has such a soft, loving personality and is always happy to be close to someone who will give her pets and attention. When you spend time with her, you’ll quickly notice how affectionate she is. She loves being cuddled, being held, and just being near her humans. She has that special puppy charm where she can look up at you with those sweet eyes and instantly melt your heart. But don’t let her calm, loving nature fool you—Gracie still has that happy puppy spirit! She loves to play, explore, and enjoy all the fun things that come with being a young pup. Whether it’s playing with toys, bouncing around with her animal friends, or just happily following her people around, Gracie brings a little spark of joy wherever she goes. She’s curious about the world but approaches everything with such a sweet and easygoing attitude. Another thing people immediately notice about Gracie is her perfect little size. She’s the kind of puppy who feels just right when you pick her up and hold her close. Not too big, not too tiny—just the perfect little bundle of puppy sweetness. She fits beautifully into your arms and seems perfectly content to relax there while soaking up all the love she can get. Her foster home reports that she has been doing amazing. She’s learning, growing, and showing every day just what a wonderful companion she’s going to be. Puppies are always learning, of course, but Gracie has already shown that she has a great temperament and a natural ability to adapt and do well in a home environment. She’s the kind of puppy who seems eager to be part of the family and join in on everyday life. Gracie would likely be happy in many different kinds of homes. She could thrive with a family, with someone who already has other pets, or with someone who simply wants a sweet little best friend to share their days with. She has such a friendly, loving personality that she brings warmth and happiness wherever she goes. Whether it’s playtime, cuddle time, or just quietly hanging out together, Gracie is simply happy to be part of it. Most of all, Gracie is just a really, really wonderful puppy. The kind that people dream about finding. Sweet, gentle, playful, cuddly, and absolutely adorable—she truly has it all. The family who adopts her is going to gain not just a puppy, but a loyal companion and a little bundle of love who will grow up right by their side. Somewhere out there is the perfect family for this amazing girl, and when they meet her, they’ll understand immediately why everyone who knows Gracie says the same thing: she is such a special puppy. If you’re looking for a sweet, happy, loving little dog to grow up with your family and fill your home with joy, Gracie might just be the one you’ve been waiting for.
