Mochi is magic in a bottle! He’s a happy go lucky pup with a heart of gold, and he’s ready for his forever home. We believe that Mochi is a Cur, Pittie mix, but he is a rescue so these are just our best guesses! Mochi has a stunning dark brindle coat. It’s giving expensive, sleek, and stylish! Make way for Mr. Mochi man! Sweet Mochi is estimated to be around 2 years old, and he currently weighs in at a lap-sized 66 pounds. You will enjoy all of those lbs of love when he climbs into your lap for his big bear hug. And you won’t even remember that he’s not a lap dog! The first thing you’ll notice about Mochi is how incredibly people-oriented he is. He greets each and every new face with a wagging tail and a big smile. Kids are no exception for Mochi- he has lived in foster home with a young child with no issue. If your kids need a playmate, Mochi could be a perfect match! He did perfectly in the car, sitting like a gentleman, waiting for you to turn around at the red lights to give him a nod and a “good boy Mochi!” Mochi sometimes gets a little excited on a leash, so he would be best with someone who can handle his wiggle butts and ready to go attitude! He LOVES everyone!! We know we already told you how amazing Mochi is in the car, but we really mean it! This quality really does just aid in making him a perfect adventure buddy. He enjoys his car rides in the back seat, watching the world go by while you drive. Mochi loves to accompany his foster family on shopping trips and Starbucks runs, and while he’s out- he’s absolutely spoiled by all who meet him. He’s just so handsome, and always so happy to meet new people- usually new humans will say something like “wow, what a beautiful coat!” followed shortly by “Wow! Thank you for the kisses, Mochi!” Mochi has learned that the compliments come freely and the treats come easy for a good boy like him. If your definition of “adventure” stretches past a trip to Target, fret not- Mochi is a total outdoorsman. This guy doesn’t mind puddles, ice, snow or steep climbs. The most treacherous hike couldn’t faze him. Mochi is both confident and trusting on leash, which makes him a perfect hiking companion. He has the stamina to join you for long excursions, and the car riding skills to join you in far away lands. He’s people-oriented enough to check in from time to time, making adventuring that much safer and more enjoyable. He’s a perfect camping/hiking/adventuring companion, through and through! When you get to that scenic overlook, Mochi will “sit” on command for that perfect picture, in exchange for a treat, of course! Speaking of treats, Mochi is super food motivated! This makes further training with him enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. He already sits on command for treats and he takes them gently. He also knows how to stay, he is such a good listener! His favorite treat is beef jerky, and yes, he did ask us to include this factoid in his bio! It is very important and relevant information for his future family to know. Mochi’s foster family does include two small dogs with a medium to low energy level. Mochi is firmly in the medium energy category, with legs that could run all day and a heart that could snuggle all night. Mochi loves to play with other dogs, and does play with his foster siblings, but is respectful when the other dogs are done playing, or don’t want to play. His lower energy friends keep him balanced, and for that reason we believe he would do best in a home with medium to low energy female dogs like his foster siblings. Mochi is so people-oriented that he could also thrive as a solo dog, soaking up all of your attention for himself. Mochi is a total toy lover too. He likes to carry his toys around in his mouth, and he has been reported to do so for up to a half hour at a time. It’s impossibly adorable. He also likes to pull his toys out of his toy box, one by one, doing a little “inventory” before deciding which is best. He’s also great at catching his toys in his mouth. He’s such a talented and happy boy! I was one of the lucky people able to play tug-of-war with Mochi, and of course he won. With a boy this cute you don’t even care when you lose a great battle, because you’ve already won just by being with him!!! Precious Mochi is so loving and happy, he will surely brighten any home. We would be remiss to not mention that Mochi is a total staff favorite! He’s described as “funny and cute,” by our behavior team lead, as “so happy” by one of our K9 Coaches, and as “an incredibly special boy,” by one of our adoption coordinators. Mochi is truly such a bright and special soul, and he has so many fans and friends already, but he’s ready for his forever home. With a smile always on his face, Mochi is ready to fill your home with love and happiness. Mochi could live with other dogs, but we don’t recommend him for a home with kitties. We believe he would be happiest in a home with a yard, but considering his personality and social skills, we believe he could do well in an apartment too. Take a second to sit back & relax, meet Molly Mae! Molly went on an exciting road trip with her foster brother last year in hopes to find her forever family. Although she hasn’t found them just yet, we know they are out there somewhere! On her trip, Molly traveled over 3,600 miles in a car. Woah!! Not only is she totally interesting and ready to share all of her world traveling stories with you, but she’s most of all looking for love. The first thing you will notice about this girl is how intelligent she is. Molly is also nothing short of an impressive performance dog with her sit, down, and touch skills. She also has amazing recall, and has mastered “heel” and “leave it” when she passes by other dogs on her daily walks. She loves being brushed too. One of our volunteers loves her so much, he comes multiple times a week to sit with her and brush her. She sits perfectly for him for 45 minutes straight, never leaving his side even when new doggies walk by. It melted my heart, and it surely will melt yours too. Molly is a big fan of her daily routine, and she hopes you will help her create a new one in her new home. The girl knows what she likes! Molly is not the jumping around ball of energy type, she is respectful of her surroundings and the people in it! Little tiny kids can be a little overwhelming with all of the bouncing and kid friendly chaos, so we believe Molly would do better with kids 7 years and up. Or children that will be able to understand her boundaries. Family coming over to visit with younger kids should not be a problem for her, this is just something she prefers! Mollys interest in treats would make for a super fun training session! Molly is the perfect example of a dog that is just happy to be with you, no matter where you are. Molly really likes to bond with her people. She is so loyal and loving, when her forever family comes to get her I have no doubt it will be the happiest day of her life! She would be happy to stay home and put around the backyard too! Speaking of homes and yards, this girl needs one! Having a structured area for her to play and mosey around in would be her dream. Molly does not need another dog in the home, but if she were to have one she prefers to be with more submissive, medium energy males that will participate in her similar play style. Molly can be a little rowdy with her best friend sometimes, but it’s all fun and games. Molly would be perfectly content being your one and only too! Zelda is such a cutie girl! Yes, she really does look like she has on a little tuxedo, or maybe some little white socks! This girl is so sweet and friendly. She loves all people, she did well with a cat, and she enjoyed playing ball in the yard with other pups. Ball is her FAVORITE game! She loves to play fetch, but she’s still learning how to bring it back to you. She carries the ball around like a little baby with a pacifier— it’s just too cute to handle! Right now in her foster home with her sister, she is currently working on her basic commands. Zelda is already so smart, we know that training will be fun for her (and you!) Zelda comes from a part of the U.S. where puppies are regularly euthanized, so adopting this puppy will help us save another in her place. Zelda is a little slow to open up to doggy friends initially, but trust me, it doesnt take her very long! She will be showing you her goofy side quickly. Especially if you have a fun bouncy tennis ball! Zelda simply just doesnt like to be rushed when meeting doggies she doesnt know, and we cant blame her! You can tell that she wanted to play with the other dogs, but she just wasnt sure how to yet. One thing about Zelda is that she loves toys! Sometimes we'll even catch her stealing a toy from other dogs. If Zelda is to be adopted out with other dogs, it would be best for her to be adopted out with another dog that doesn't really care much for toys-- and for toy time to be supervised so everyone can enjoy the toys. We think Zelda would definitely benefit from having a doggy sibling in the home to help her build some confidence. Zelda got to meet a kitty here at the rescue, and she did wondefully! She didnt really care for him at all, and if you have kitties at home, you know thats what we want! Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. Atari is the lover of all people, if he could be cuddled up, taking a nap all day with his humans he would be. He is a sweet lover boy and a total goofball. Atari is such a good boy he loved to get pet and cuddled with the whole time we spent with him. Atari is currently in a foster home with five other dogs and an amazing Foster who he loves so much. They cuddle up together and take naps all the time it’s Atari’s favorite thing to do. He also loves to play with toys. It’s when you really see the goof in him come out. He is so handsome and loves to sleep curled up in a ball. It is adorable. Atari met a couple of our dogs today and did amazing meeting all of them. He didn’t play too much except for one of our very hyper male dogs. They played for a little and ran together. It was so adorable. He does play with his foster siblings and loves having fun rolling around with other dogs. Atari is really more of a people person, when all the other dogs were playing he was standing next to us waiting for pets or exploring the yard sniffing around. Atari would do great in a home with other dogs or by himself because he would so love to have all the cuddles to himself. Atari should not live in a home with cats. He finds them way too interesting and gets super excited meeting them, which is a little too much for cats. Atari has not yet been kid tested, but we do believe he would do great around kids. He does jump a quite bit, so preferably older kids that can stand their own ground. Atari is such a fun lover boy and is waiting for the perfect home. Diesel here, reporting for duty as your loyal shadow, fetch partner, slightly over-sized lap-dog, and the reason fore everyday laughs. Now Diesel’s name might give you visions of some high-octane, need-for-speed boy but please know that he is far from it. This Diesel has mini-zoomies, is toy-tossing, and is a people-loving pittie mix who’s always ready to spread his contagious happiness. We cannot guarantee it given he is a rescue but we believe Diesel is about 1.5 years old and he weighs 42 pounds, really a perfect medium, to-go size boy. Whether its a stuffy or a bouncy ball, we is going to light up, bounce around, ask if you want to play fetch and then go throw the toy for himself. Right after that he will run to the toy basket, pick out another toy and start the cycle all over again. He is quiet and mindful of the space but it is still hard not to stop what you are doing just to watch him be so cute and happy. Simply, he is the perfect mix of playful energy and sweet affection. Diesel is young and active, and we believe he would be happiest in a home with a yard where he can zoom, toss toys in the air, and play fetch until his heart’s content. With an active life including regular adventures and play sessions, he could be an apartment boy but a home with a yard would be best. On leash, Diesel has great basic leash skills and shines when walking in an area without distraction, keeping an easy, steady pace is steady and showing great manners meeting new people. Diesels foster shared that when passing other dogs, he can get excited and occasionally bark. We did not see that during our afternoon with him but he was so receptive to gentle corrections and boundaries that we feel confident he will learn quickly once it is established what is expected. He’s social, outgoing, and adores people-he’ll happily climb into your lap for cuddles after a good play session. Diesel is dog-friendly and has a bouncy play style and can easily match a “rough and rowdy” player. He will thrive with a confident, playful female dog who can match his energy and handle his bouncy style. A more submissive dog could feel overwhelmed by his friendly and playful approach so we are looking for the right canine sibling fit but he could easily your one-and-only. Cats, however, Diesel would love to play chase with them so no feline friends in the home for him. Diesel is fostered in a loving home where he is learning and practicing all the best house manners. His foster shared that he is both crate and house-trained, and settles down nicely overnight, with only occasional moments of whining before relaxing for the evening. He’s full of enthusiasm, loves dinnertime, and will keep you smiling with his goofy, floppy ears and toy-flinging antics. Diesel is still young so he will need an adopter that is active and can give him on-going training, structure, playtime, and all the love he craves.
