Rocco is an energetic dog with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. He’s always ready to go for a walk, explore new sights, and soak up every bit of love and attention you have to give. Whether it’s a hike in the woods or just a jaunt around the neighborhood, Rocco is your go-to walking buddy. He does pull on the leash but is working on that. This sweet boy has already overcome a big hurdle—he was treated for heartworm and came through like a champ! To keep him healthy, Rocco will need to be rechecked for heartworms in September to ensure there are no new or residual worms after treatment, and he will also need to stay on monthly heartworm preventatives for life, but he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit. Rocco is looking for a home with an active person or family who will embrace his playful spirit and keep him moving.
