Story
I have had this very sweet boy since he was 8 weeks old. He is 8 years old now. He had all his puppy/year old shots. He’s never had any health issues. He lived with another dog his whole life up until the last year. Our other dog was 1 year when we got him so he was very used to living with another dog. However, he has been an only dog for a year now and had to adjust to that. This is why I marked “unknown” when it comes to other dogs, it would depend on the dog. He needs someone who is not afraid of being loved on by a big dog. He gets VERY excited when meeting new people, he can be very vocal, and jumps up on you. But he really just wants to cuddle! He has never bit anyone or any living creature. Even though he has never hurt one, he does not do well with cats. He wants to chase them, so to be careful I have not let him be around them. I love this boy so much, I just don’t have the life to support him anymore and make him happy. I’m looking for a home that can give him that!

Duke is my daughter’s dog and she cannot keep him where she lives. I am housing him temporarily until we can find him a good home. He is a very smart, well behaved trained dog. He loves adventures, chasing a ball and running. He is food aggressive around other animals, so we feed him in his kennel. He is a sweet boy!

Story
13yr old beagle/king Charles spaniel/coonhound mix with lots of energy. She enjoys walks, hikes and generally just being with her favorite people. She’s ok with other dogs and cats, but prefers being around humans. She understands many commands and tricks and does well on easily digestible food. She’s potty and crate trained and is missing an eye but that doesn’t hinder how she gets around or plays. She needs an owner or home where she can be provided with stability, love and affection on a daily basis.

Story
Phoebe is a 4-year old female American Pitbull Terrier who was rescued from a high-risk shelter in Texas. She is incredibly sweet with people and forms a deep, loyal bond with her human. Phoebe can be selective with other dogs and shows food guarding behaviors around them, so a single-dog home would set her up for success. She has no history of aggression toward humans. She is loyal and protective, people-oriented, eager to please, and ready to give her whole heart.

Story
Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles including cancer. He now lives as a proud, playful tripod.  Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! Like many of our Tx dogs he was treated for heartworms. NOTHING to worry about as this is very common here.  He has since completed his treatment. He's Texas-tough and full of heart! If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jackson is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy! He's been waiting for you at Spring Branch Rescue for a long time.  To add Jackson to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you! Jackson is available for LOCAL adoption only. His adoption fee includes all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##1714321##
