Story
Meet Cassie! This happy-go-lucky 5-month-old Shepherd mix is playful, goofy, affectionate, and always ready to make you laugh. Whether she's chasing toys, making silly puppy faces, or investigating something new, Cassie brings joy wherever she goes. She's already potty trained and confidently uses a dog door, making the transition into her forever home much easier. Cassie loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine playmate. She's also been gentle and respectful around cats, happily watching and sniffing them without any signs of aggression. One of Cassie's favorite things in the world is water. Kiddie pool? Sprinkler? Hose? She's all in! After she's finished splashing and playing, she's just as happy to curl up next to you for cuddles. Cassie is looking for a family who will continue her training, include her in everyday adventures, and give her the love and guidance every puppy deserves. In return, you'll get a loyal best friend with a fun-loving personality and a heart of gold. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $300. Story
Jules is a beautiful 6-month-old Shepherd mix with the perfect blend of playful puppy energy and a calm, easygoing personality. She's always ready for a game or an adventure, but she's just as happy to relax by your side when it's time to unwind. One of the first things you'll notice about Jules is her incredibly soft coat - you'll want to pet her all day! She's also very smart and eager to learn, making her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend. Jules is already potty trained and knows how to use a dog door, giving her a great head start over many puppies her age. She has all the fun, curiosity, and sweetness of a puppy, but she's past the stage of razor-sharp puppy teeth and needle-like claws, making playtime much more enjoyable. If you're looking for a loving, intelligent, and well-mannered young dog who's ready to become part of the family, Jules is waiting to meet you. She can't wait to find her forever home! To meet Jules, please complete an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Story
Maddy girl loves love! This sweet girl adores her people and will happily be your little shadow from day one. Attention is one of her very favorite things, and she is happiest when she gets to be near her people. She is full of energy, personality, and playful puppy spirit. Maddy is also very smart, eager to learn, and very treat-motivated, which makes training with her fun and encouraging.Maddy is great with all dogs and people. We cannot speak to how she does with cats as she has not been tested with them. She is still working on potty training but we are very encouraged by her progress so far. This girl would do best with an active family who can devote time to walks, playtime, and plenty of engagement. She loves going on walks, running around the yard, playing fetch, and getting the zoomies when she’s excited. Maddy also loves toys, following her people around, scratches, belly rubs, and soaking up all the attention she can get.Like any puppy, Maddy will thrive in a home with patience, consistency, and an understanding of puppy behavior. With continued training, love, structure, and adventure, this happy girl is sure to make a wonderful companion.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
Scooby is a 4-year old shadow who believes there is no reason you should ever be in a room without him. If you get up, he gets up. If you're working, he's nearby. If you're on the couch, he'll happily join you for a nap. Scooby is affectionate, funny, easy to have around the house, and happiest when he's simply with his people. He's low to medium energy and is on a weight loss journey after spending much of his life living a pretty sedentary lifestyle. He's discovering that exercise is actually fun, walks beautifully on a leash, and is getting healthier every day. His favorite hobbies are watching for squirrels, snuggling on the couch, taking long naps, and snoring loudly enough to make everyone laugh. Scooby is also wonderfully goofy. His attempts to play with a tennis ball are equal parts determined and awkward, and it's impossible not to smile watching him try. Around the house, Scooby is about as easy as they come. He's potty trained, has excellent house manners, doesn't chew things he shouldn't, and is quiet unless someone knocks on the door. He does well with kids and settles into a routine almost immediately. Scooby gets along well with other dogs. He was good in a daycare environment, has done great with the golden retriever in his foster home, and could happily live with another easygoing dog or be perfectly content as your one and only. Before coming into rescue, Scooby was attacked by another dog in his home and came to us so he could recover safely. He's fully healed, but because of that experience, he appreciates dogs that are respectful of his space until he gets comfortable with them. He'll thrive with someone who understands his past and helps him feel safe if things become chaotic or overwhelming. More than anything, Scooby is just an incredibly good dog. He's funny, affectionate, easy to live with, and happiest when he's near the people he loves. We think whoever adopts him is getting an exceptional dog. To meet Scooby, please complete an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
