Story
Meet the new kid on the block in Utah - GRASSHOPPER! Surprisingly she fits her quirky name.  She is bursting with enthusiasm and has been starved for a person to give her endless amounts of love to.  She loves kids, definitely partial to women (but will warm up to men) and loves to chew toys. She sleeps on her dog bed in the foster's bedroom and is crate trained. The foster family has also been working on basic commands with her! Grasshopper has had both spay and entropion eyelid surgery, so she is ready to go!  We estimate she is around 5 years old and is fostering in Utah.  January 10, 2026, 7:15 am

Story
Elsa is 8 years young and came from a neglect and abuse case in Colorado. She was confiscated from her "family," along with her son, Olaf. Elsa was so afraid when she arrived to our rescue and wouldn't stop shaking in the back of her crate. It took two weeks for her to gain confidence and trust us enough to start exploring the rescue. The rest is history... since Elsa created a bond with us, she has opened up SO much! She lives for her walks, is obsessed with snuggles and will quite literally follow you anywhere you go. She is wonderful on car rides and loves a good pup cup! Elsa's ideal family is someone who will continue to dress her up and treat her like the queen she is... lol. But really, she would thrive as an only pup who will spend the rest of her days spoiled, loved and cherished. She is going to make the most loyal and loving companion to a very lucky person/family.

Story
Zero is a 4 year old neutered, male Rottweiler from Riverside shelter. He was found tied to a stop sign in California. The day that we went to save him, the shelter had already labeled him as"euthanized," because he was next to be killed. Zero came to us afraid, reactive and weary. He has made tremendous progress in the time we have had him! His favorite thing in the world is playing with a ball and going for walks. He is great on walks, loves exploring new outdoor spaces and rolling in the grass, and is the perfect dog to cuddle up with on the sofa. Once you truly gain his trust, Zero will be the most loyal velcro dog! As with most Rottweilers, Zero needs a strong leader to respect his boundaries while also implementing structure. Z would thrive in a home that can continue the training that we have started and has experience with the breed!

Story
Olaf is a 6 year old, deaf Pittie who is the perfect mix of sweet and sensitive. He came from a home of abuse and neglect. Often, getting attacked by his dad, a large male Pittie, without intervention from his owners. He and Elsa were confiscated and saved from their awful home. Olaf is now looking for a family who can understand that he needs special care and training due to being deaf. Olaf, although he looks tough, is equally as sensitive and eager to trust. Olaf would love a family that has a yard and is home often, as he loves to be close to his humans! He is great on walks, has the biggest appetite, and loves being goofy with those that he trusts! Olaf loves car rides, is obsessed with foods (except carrots), and loves going for walks, as long as his human can advocate for him and take space from situations that Olaf doesn't hear coming like runners. Olaf is dog selective and has done great with dogs here at the rescue with slow and proper introductions so a home with another female pup will be considered on a case by case basis!

Story
Korra is a 7 year old Heeler/Border Collie mix that has already had two homes in her life. She lived her first two years of life with a man in the military who dropped her off at the shelter when he was deployed. She lived her past 5 years with a family in Utah who adopted her from the shelter but decided they no longer wanted the responsibility of a dog... despite how low maintenance Korra is! Korra is now with our rescue in SLC, Utah waiting for a truly deserving family to notice her and love her unconditionally. Korra is wonderful with children and humans. A total love bug who enjoys belly rubs and couch cuddles. She is seven years old but absolutely loves adventures like walks in the neighborhood, hikes or car rides. She is such a perfect companion. She has a gentle demeanor and does the cutest little woofs when she wants to play! Korra has never spent time around dogs and has gotten along with some here at the rescue on walks but it is still unclear how she would do living with another pup in the same home. Please reach out only if you can provide Korra with a loving home for the rest of her life. She deserves it!

Story
Meet Skye – Your Loyal, Sensitive Adventure Buddy &#239&#184&#143Skye is a 9-year-old Australian Shepherd with a gentle soul, a brilliant mind, and a heart that bonds deeply with her person. She’s a shy, sweet, and attentive girl who blossoms into a wonderfully devoted companion once she feels safe.Skye's favorite pastime? Playing fetch with her beloved tennis ball, followed by a cozy hangout with her human. At this stage in her life, she enjoys a balanced routine - daily walks, some ball-chasing fun, and the mental challenge of treat puzzles keep her happy and fulfilled. She's medium-energy, agile, smart, and always up for an adventure as long as she's with someone she trusts.Skye is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and an excellent leash walker. She's responsive to commands like leave it and focus, and she tries hard to make good choices, especially when she's feeling nervous. She takes daily Fluoxetine to help manage her anxiety, which has been beneficial for her. While she's not destructive when left alone, Skye truly prefers companionship and does best with someone who is home often. She is sensitive and protective of her space - quick movements or unfamiliar guests can make her anxious, and she may try to 'herd' people by nipping at heels. Because of this, a quieter home without young children or frequent visitors would be ideal. Skye can coexist with other calm dogs and cats, though she tends to keep to herself and prefers slow introductions. A yard would be a wonderful bonus for her.Skye's perfect match is someone patient, gentle, and understanding - someone who appreciates her quirks, respects her boundaries, and celebrates her incredible loyalty and intelligence. With the right person, she is affectionate, playful, deeply connected, and wonderfully sassy in all the best ways.If you're looking for a smart, soulful companion who will adore you endlessly and join you on meaningful adventures, Skye may be your perfect match. &#239&#184&#143Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100.
